Most likely trying to go mage instead of 1H, if I had to give a wild guess.

QUOTE(Uncle Stu @ Aug 24 2018, 20:15) You know that you could actually just start an item world and look? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) Hmm, I did NOT know that Item World tells you how many rounds an Item will take. Is that new since some update? QUOTE(Basara Nekki @ Aug 24 2018, 20:43) Probably: 63 rounds/run (@ PFUDOR) x 14 runs = 882 rounds.
Thanks for the reply and calc estimate. So there must be a battle script! (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Tenboro was so bored and loved us so much that he made this game, so we could feel the love and be as bored as he was playing 882 roiunds. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/faint.gif) Just kidding, Tenboro I appreciate the game and enjoy it daily. Would love to expand it to PvP. Absolutely Currect (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cool2.gif) Prof gained is determined by your exp gained and your training level. So apparently you still want the highest difficulty possible. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/faint.gif) There are benevolent IW shops that provide free or 1c/pxp IWs. Just make sure you know you can take advantage of it if necessary.

Which is better to have on armor, Warding or Protection?
I assumed warding would be more powerful but the market seems to indicate otherwise.

QUOTE(Vilis @ Aug 25 2018, 09:56) I have some questions on Monster Lab. My goal is to get lots of gifts (duh).
1) What's the best way to spend Chaos Tokens? Should I just keep getting new monsters, or is the Scavenging upgrade worth it too?
2) What's a good level to upgrade my weakest monsters to?
3) Is there a good reason to upgrade a monster to the maximum level?
1) Monsters. Numbers do win the game. But imo, i like it for my low lvl monster to have at least one token into scavenging. And when you have allready reached a slot cost of over 100. My guess goes to, that it is allready worth it to upograde it a bit more. Just for the bigger chance to bring two gifts at once. But fully upgrade it is maybe just actually worth it when you allready have all 100 slots. And that could take a while. 2) 25. Just concentrade on one or two monster to be actual big for the start. When they have reached a useful PL and with that i mean something over 500, for the HG chance, you can bring up another monster or two. Or you go even full in and bring one monster up to around PL 1100 or even a bit higher so they appear even to high lvl player. Except that level up your low lvl monster could only spare you a few Happy Pills. Because the between PL 25 and 499 the difference is just not there. You a bit more MG stuff and a bit less LG stuff. But unless you actually get them over 500 for the HG chance to start, it is just not worth it at all. 3) No. The highest level that makes any actuall difference would be around PL 1500 when they bring HG stuff only. But anymore than that has hardly any effect. And no i dont care too much about the reduce moral drain at PL 1750 and 2250. Because when you actually have the money to get them up there, the last thing you care about are some Happy pills.

1) Keep getting new monsters, scavenging impact is unclear (according to description it's 2,5% aka 1 chaos token when slot is 80 for gold star if it works the same way) 2) Either 25 or 500-750 (~200-600k in crystals costs) for more usable materials 3) Money-wise you'll need tens of years to make it profitable. Is there a soft/hard cap for spell damage multiplier?
Also, if I reach enough proficiency to need only one prof piece, can I go 4+1 without any doubts, or is there any need for cloth for 3+2 at that point?
Adding to the question above, what is the best prof piece for a 4+1 dark mage set?

Not those who still remember a specific turmoil because of a specific topic. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif)

I'm not sure if I understand your first question. If you mean like block chance is caped at 100%, no there is no cap for spell damage bonus as much as I know. If you are referring 4+1 imp dark, I recommend cotton robe. DJ uses a robe I use a robe, and some dark mages I've seen also use robes. There's no absolute answer to this as there are no test data on this. Pants, even a Cap would work fine. Gloves are not ideal before you reach lv500 and massively train your profs. Use HV utility to calculate how much profs you will gain at a specific level and your assimilator levels. Then use Scremaz's profs spreadsheet, put in all the status, then figure out if you can reach 0.8 prof factor with that slot. Then you decide.

QUOTE(Uncle Stu @ Aug 25 2018, 19:58) Not those who still remember a specific turmoil because of a specific topic. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) we could've ended that thing in a couple minutes, but i wanted to start a polite, democratic discussion and that backfired me hard. since recently i'm feeling more nazi than usual it's not too late to do it now. just saying. QUOTE(magiclamp @ Aug 25 2018, 21:48) Just wondering whether SEA vs DEA actually is a significant difference for 1h mage - it seems to make a big difference in price. Last week a DEA Legendary Mithril Buckler of the Battlecaster sold for 3.6m whereas I just got my hands on this SEA Legendary Mithril Buckler of the Battlecaster for 80k. (As a side note, a SDA Legendary Reinforced Buckler of the Battlecaster sold for 1m a couple of weeks ago). The main reason I'm asking is because my current 1h mage shield is Magnificent Mithril Buckler of the Battlecaster, which I assume I should just salvage and use the materials to forge the new shield. But if DEA makes a big diff maybe I just stick with current shield? DEA are regarded as the best PABs for a 1H Mage shield, yep. not sure if switching from Mag to Leg is worth losing one of those PABs though This post has been edited by Scremaz: Aug 25 2018, 22:07

Thank you. That's exactly all I wished to know. Dexterity only gives some additional parry chance in case your evade/block doesn't work, so I'd say it's not really worth it investing into a shield for a style that's supposed to be a temporary solution until you go full mage. Use the one with better block, END and AGI without worry.
