A few more supplementary point:

My tested equipment is quite bad and low EDB MDB (only Staff and prof cotton pants are forged, considered as beginner/cheaper set) which make sense that Oak could have similar performance to Redwood. As spell damage is bottle-necked, more spell damage doesn't help that much for Fire and probably Cold in GF.

Also Oak has lower base than Redwood in terms of MDB EDB Prof, which make sense that Oak is sightly worse than Redwood in GF turn/round:
Legendary Fiery Redwood Staff of Destruction (MDB 74%, Fire EDB 49%, Elem Prof 62%) Fully forged base: (MDB 84.47, Fire EDB 27.02, Elem Prof 10.58)
Legendary Fiery Oak Staff of Focus (MDB 99%, Fire EDB 86%, Elem Prof 77%) Fully forged base: (MDB 52.77, Fire EDB 24.5, Elem Prof 8.37)

I am not sure if higher/extremely higher EDB gear/forge could make the gap bigger. But this is not the case for beginner.

With enough staff forge, willow should easily outperform redwood in GF/IW. But for Arena, as long as you can easily survived with your gears, Redwood should be better for Fire/Cold. It depends on your target usage. Fire/cold mage for Arena only: Redwood; GF/IW: Willow

Thinking about proficiency factor, either I'm critically stupid, or the explanation on wiki sucks. Got 2 prof items, staff and cap, 13.61 base elemental prof total. Natural base prof taken as 525. Then according to next formula

You can calculate the expected achievable prof factor at level 500 of a set of equipment. This value is a good indication of the proficiency factor achievable at any level. Start with your expected [Natural base prof] at level 500, which will be probably be between 500 and 525 (600 is theoretically possible). Then use the following 5 steps:

step 1: [Equip base prof] = [Staff base prof] + [Cloth_1 base prof] + [Cloth_2 base prof]
step 2: [Full forged prof] = [Equip base prof] * 1.342
step 3: [Level 500 equip prof] = [Full forged prof] * 15
step 4: [Prof with Perk] = [Natural base prof] * 1.1 + [Level 500 equip prof]
step 5: [Level 500 Prof factor] = [Prof with Perk] / 500

I'm getting 1.70 as [Level 500 Prof factor]. Wiki tells I should aim for at least 0.68, but this is kinda stupid, with this formula you always have at least 1.00 even nude. Does 0.68 translates to 1.68 in this formula?

Yeah, the wiki page is just inconsistent and omits the last step of substracting 1. Guess I'm cool with one cotton and 4 phases. Thanks again for the help, appreciate it.

Also, in the PFFest stats above I've noticed Scroll of Life usage, what's the reason behind it? Wiki says it uses 25% of base spirit on proc unlike the spell's 50%, is it for spirit hungry moments?

SoL is good for reducing spirit drain especially in deep fest if your gears are not good and fast enought tp kill monsters.

But SoL I used in first half of fest mainly is to test the minimum frequency of triggering spark of life.

Just one question. Is it possible that you have mixed up different armor types in a single build? When i see a dw build with less evade as my 1H power armor set does raise such a question. And your armor proficiencies are looking as if you really have. When you want to play DW, you should play it with leather/shade, not with cloth, not with heavy. Stats are looking okay. Until i have a more precise question, i have nothing more to say.

Yeah, it's complicated at first. Like everyone who gets into the game (slowly, probably over a period of years before going 'fuck it, I'll play it) you will learn a little at a time. But over time you'll learn more and more. Best read the wiki. You said before "there's no advice for someone of my level' but that is not true. There is nothing but a boatload of advice and FAQs aimed at low level players.

Decide your playstyle. Look up your playstyle. Keep to your armor playstyle (all light, all cloth, or all heavy) and you'll learn as you go. By the time you hit level 150 you'll probably have learned all the basics, anything you still don't know you can ask.
