I have never used ED willingly. But had used them by mistake many times (by clicking "use restorative" option when repairing)

Yeah, makes sense. I mean Otherwhise you could just start an GF right before the dawn and get a full GF with your favorite bonus going on. And somehow i doubt that this is something 10bo had in mind.

High MDB + EDB + CR + prof, destroy all enemies in fastest way.

Edit: non-imperil 3+2 mage for Arena could work also, not sure since I have not tried it.

Yes, ideally should be gloves + shoes, you need to calculate prof factor yourself.
