I have two other shields which are better protection shields than my current one so I would rather spend the little amount of useful bindings that I have on the best shield that I currently own when I get to level 440+

Okay, but why are you not using your best shield allready? Also you would not actually waste those bindings and the material when you upgrade a shield. I didn't really know that I wouldn't waste bindings when I will eventually upgrade only the best of those two better shields.

My best shield is at level 444.

My second best shield is a magnificent shield that I can't soulfuse until level 247.

Btw i would suggest to put some points into "Better Spirit Pots". And as 1H you need heart seeker. And all abilities that improve Spirit Shield.

And IW your weapon is the most important thing you could do with IW. And dont worry, it does not matter if the IW is not perfect, it will probably not be, but that is okay. The first IW on a superior or exquisit weapon is not suppose to be perfect. It is just to get either a Void Strike (when the weapon has an element) or an Element Strike (when the weapon is Ethereal). And this really increase your damage by a lot. Trust me you will love it.

Yeah, i would never suggest to buy a shield that would take you so long to soulfuse it. I mean what will you do when in the months to come 10bo changes the game like after 0.82 and your best shield is nothing but a very expensive HGW?

Well 247 should take too long just three level. I suggest forge the shit out of its block chance after you have soulfuse it. With just three level i guess it would be a waste of Catalyst if you would forge the other shield you use now. But that mag will be worth it. I have recently read a post from a mod over at the 0.86 update thread that the next update is going to be for the galleries and not for HV.

Tenboro won't update the galleries and months later go back to update HV especially so quickly after 0.86 was released but this is just a wild guess from me.

I'm taking another wild guess by saying that once tenboro pushes out the next update for the galleries then tenboro will not update hv again until next year.

I'll soulfuse the other shield if soulfragging rather than just trying to get to it's level faster doesn't make it weaker than my current shield.

Just look at the base stat. You can see it by hovering the mouse cursor above the block chance. Higher base stat means it is better.

It's been a while since I saw that signature! But back to your questions:

1. Full heimdall: high level monsters will resist your spells, so you only hit with 10% or 50% of your immense firepower. If you have proficiency of double your level (prof factor 1.0), your magic will do all the damage -> much more damage. To get so much proficiency, you need cottons of the heaven sent.

2. Yes. You will notice the improvement.

3. Cause they are better for that style, and they are rare and several rich players want to create a full radiant set.

- Because having a certain amount of divine proficiency matters, which you cant reach with 5 heimdall.

- Yes, since any legendary hallowed oak staff of heimdall will outperform your peerless shocking one.

- Extra MDB makes a huge difference on holy mages, especially since unlike the other mages they run a EDB staff instead of a destruction(MDB) one. Endgame gear.

wiki says 'Difficulty: Monsters do not get stronger as the rounds progress; they remain at 100% strength at all times.' but I don't have any idea about rewards...
