try with a rapier of the nimble or balance as offhand

Waki nimble has higher parry, but rapier has high parry too and should be slightly cheaper (well at that level both are pretty much the same) mmm...

So why is kiteshield considered bad again? the one in lottery today is very similar to the force shield from a couple weeks ago, just a bit lower block and higher burden. Is that really a big deal?

@Drksrpnt
From what i see...
1.It has lower block rate compared to a force shield ( which is the most important stat on a shield)

2.It has higher burden than a force shield which might affect your crit rate, thus lowering your potential overall damage. "A burden beyond 70 will decrease your crit chance by 2% per point of burden 70, effectively negating your crit chance at 120 burden" so says the wiki.

All around, they're the worst. Even a high block mag force shield could have higher block than a peerless kite shield. There's not much of a point in buying a kite sheild, even a peerless, when a dirt cheap force shield or even a half-decent buckler of the barrier would be better.

Actually, higher burden is an advantage on a shield, when you are below 70 burden like me.

Well, to be fair if you use featherweight charm on it - the difference won't be that big.
QUOTE
Enhancing an equipment with Featherweight Charm can temporarily reduce its burden by 7 or 50%, whichever is higher.

In this case it's 10.50 - 7 = 3.50 (roughly goes as a Force shield without featherweight). So it'll only affect the crit if you're over the limit already or literally on the edge.

Your point about the higher block on Force shields still stands, though.

That's why I said that it "might affect your crit rate, thus lowering your potential overall damage" since using a kite shield adds a lot of burden which might make you go over the 70 burden threshold.

Well yeah, you can use it to lessen the burden but using featherweight charm every time you go fight is a hassle.

To be fair, a Peerless Kite's block is equivalent to a 13.19% Block force shield. And I'd definitely chose the kite if I had to chose between both, for multiple reasons.

ask about auction pricing:
1.seems attack speed bonus is a bad thing for heavy armor 1H, would Mithril Power cheaper than non prefixes Power?
2.If different body slot with different pricing?

tks

It depends. Some good mithril power of slaughter could have higher price because mithrils are rare. Some high-level DW, Niten and 2H players use mithril slaughters for Arena, so they are not necessarily worse and cheaper. Just put the same price as they don't matter too much for low-level players.

Generally Armors and Leggings are slightly more expensive than other slots.

It's rather that Dampening is for heavy armor and Deflection is for light armor.

Hey, wassup y'all?! (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Just started playing again after another lonnng break...

Is the "post once in awhile to increase exp" still a thing? Does it affect proficiency?

Prof takes forever to increase now (seems like people who was Lv.500 before 0.86 got a lil' screwed), on top of it, just occurred to me that I could be getting half of it because of this... (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

Hmm, the Patch Notes mention Dawn Exp... my memory isn't helping me on this one either, the forum post exp bonus used to affect only experience from Dawn or xp obtained through battle too? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

The Wiki page still lists posting in the forums as a way to increase xp
