I don't think mana and health elixirs are really needed for fests.
As long as you use scrolls for spark what you really need are enough scrolls and a fuckton of spirit elixirs since spark leaves you with half health (so less need of curing) and Suffused Aether should be enough to never need a mana elixirs, even with a lot of full cures.

Aye. Mana elixirs aren't needed. Health and spirit elixirs are needed for me. In the last rounds, sparking is too often to keep up with only scrolls. My conclusion so far is that elemental is superior to dark, except for sg area

A mage set with weapon and shield instead of a staff. You trade quite a bit of damage and all your counterresist for a bit of more survivability because of block and parry.

1. preparation to go full mage (collect / forge your cloth armors & get prociency)
2. IW on PFUDOR
3. PFFEST

damage/speed:
I know that full mage is faster, but then it's very very hard to get through a PFFEST. I think 1h heavy is just as fast, don't know for sure which is faster. I think 1h rapier + power of slaughter is faster.

survivability:
much better than full mage. You can easily finish IW on PFUDOR.

build price:
pretty cheap! Just the problem is that the waki and buckler that you need are rare. But you don't need extreme forging!

Viability:
it works. Has been proven a number of times. It's a fun style if you want something diffferent.

For now, I need mana elixirs in addition to draughts and potions, every 50rounds. Holy/dark cost too much mana. Another is that I don't have wisdom massively forged and the regeneration perk. Maybe I will get them in the future, but as for now, for ones like me who do not forge so much elementals seem to be much less mana-consuming.
Also I need health elixirs to keep my health over the monsterbation threhold, which is 0.42 I set to prevent sparks. Often right after a cure or two, I still need to either cast cures or use potions/elixirs to keep my health high.
Barely forged my clothes, I can only hit 450~500 rounds of GF, with scrolls. Hopefully, I want to hit 800 rounds if I forge all to 30...

If that gear will likely be replaced sooner or later.

forge 5 is worth it.

Both shields aren't very good. Force has better base block, but if you don't forge it the other one has better block. Find yourself a legendary, dude!

both have been tested, both work fine. Battlecaster waki is better than battlecaster bucker, because then you can get at buckler of the barrier and more block. Buckler of nimble with buckler of the barrier would give you mana trouble... Too much use of potions and elixirs.

Both. At best with Nimble + Barrier you have 90% mana cost (assuming no frugal clothes), and since 1H mage has no counter-resist potency and far less prof, MDB, and EDB, you need to cast many more spells per round. If your mana conservation is good enough you can get away with only using mana potions. With my current waki+buckler I have ~68% mana cost and that is more than enough to clear IWfest without using elixirs. Mana pots recharge slightly faster than I need them most of the time.

Everyone wants the same damn rapier, force shield, legendary power armor, and ditches the rest. How can you ever expect to sell anything else if no one would buy it in the first place? Even if by some miracle you do sell it anyway, how can one expect you'd sell it to a price that would definitely help you getting your hands on that godly shield that costs an arm and a leg because everyone wants it?

I mean, are all of you somehow expecting that there is some kind of Santa Claus who totally doesn't play rapier 1H and is willing to buy your axes, clubs, 2H, plain phase, power of warding or God knows what other not-meta equipment? I know that there do are oddballs here and there (I am one), but unfortunately for you, as oddbally they can be, these players will only ever buy one equipment inside the immense flood of items, just like you.

So my point regarding what you said is this one: I can give you a small piece of advice, you'd better stop expecting to get money from sales and play the damn game instead, or do bounties. Not-selling all the unwanted not-so-trash will only ever result in you losing your time. Not to mention that the time it takes you to send these things over, you've already spent 10 minutes that could have been used to gather 10k credits, and all the other more or less cool drops that come with them.

To get credits, play the game. Selling unused items should only ever be a bonus, not your main income.

1H-Mage need Mana Conservation. Compare to Staff-Mage, 1H-Mage cures less, I don't need to use Full-Cure even once to play through the PFUDOR Fest. That saves Mana. The only big Problem in the tief PFUDOR Fest is the SP, if you get hit, you lose a lot of SP. But Staff-Mage benifits from Coalesced Mana, which 1H-Mage doesn't have.

you can always offer things at a hyperinflated price until someone falls for it, purchases, your shop starts to be bumped in first page pretty often, you gain an absurd amount of visits and people start purchasing en masse. meanwhile, treat them poorly, claim you're poor, yell at them, raise your prices against an invisible bidder and if someone snatches an item you want at an auction, start to cry and claim that poors won't have their weekly donation.

oh, and don't forget a random post in every page of price check thread just to spread your sig with shop link everywhere (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/duck.gif)



it's been proven to work, and it similar to crappy bars - the more people there are outside of a place (because they phisically cannot stay inside), the more will come thinking they may find good drinks - to the point you may start to sell invisible glasses of ice at 5€ claiming they are cocktails and may not even need a bathroom anymore, since they cannot reach it either way.
