QUOTE(-vincento- @ Jul 9 2018, 08:24) PFD dwd doesn't really have as good drop as T8 trophies. According to the record of Ea-moon did last time, on average you get 1 legendary every 10 dwd.
... which merely means it's lower than T9.

I just found that the base casting speed of holy/dark T1/T2/T3 spells is slower than that of elementals. I never knew before. Neither did I found it on wiki.
So does that mean holy/dark need much more defensive forging than elemental does?

I didn't notice a big difference there when I switched from Cold to Dark. For PFFEST, both need heavy defensive forging. I find that Imperil style is much easier to get enough defence for Dark. My non-imperil style works for arena's, but is not strong enough to finish a PFFEST. I think I need more damage, though, as my defense is already forged quite a bit.

Would you need mana elixirs and health elixirs frequently when imperil dark in PFDfest? And would you have to full-cure regularly? Because I saw some elementalists who need less forging, and almost no health and mana elixirs to finish PFDfest....it's heartbreaking to see that as a dark mage. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/anime_cry.gif) Considering the market price of wind/elec phases vs. dark phases, I guess that's proving where players place dark

Non-proficiency cotton armor is useless, right?
Also, is there a script out there for easier upgrading? Whenever I upgrade in the forge, the first upgrade seems to be seamless but then after I upgrade anything else, it starts refreshing the window every time.

(IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/anime_cry.gif) I don't think mana and health elixirs are really needed for fests. As long as you use scrolls for spark what you really need are enough scrolls and a fuckton of spirit elixirs since spark leaves you with half health (so less need of curing) and Suffused Aether should be enough to never need a mana elixirs, even with a lot of full cures.

Right. HV Utils does that best. Perfect even. QUOTE(Sapo84 @ Jul 10 2018, 09:38) I don't think mana and health elixirs are really needed for fests. Aye. Mana elixirs aren't needed. Health and spirit elixirs are needed for me. In the last rounds, sparking is too often to keep up with only scrolls. My conclusion so far is that elemental is superior to dark, except for sg area

What is 1H mage build?
What's its performance compared to 1H heavy and Staff mage in terms of damage/survivability/play speed/build price/viability?

A mage set with weapon and shield instead of a staff. You trade quite a bit of damage and all your counterresist for a bit of more survivability because of block and parry.

Useful for: 1. preparation to go full mage (collect / forge your cloth armors & get prociency) 2. IW on PFUDOR 3. PFFEST damage/speed: I know that full mage is faster, but then it's very very hard to get through a PFFEST. I think 1h heavy is just as fast, don't know for sure which is faster. I think 1h rapier + power of slaughter is faster. survivability: much better than full mage. You can easily finish IW on PFUDOR. build price: pretty cheap! Just the problem is that the waki and buckler that you need are rare. But you don't need extreme forging! Viability: it works. Has been proven a number of times. It's a fun style if you want something diffferent. QUOTE(Lunarika @ Jul 10 2018, 17:20) OMG, this thing is amazing. Thanks.
Told you so! I'm a big fan of that script. Even lets you buy the catalysts from the forge screen! This post has been edited by DJNoni: Jul 10 2018, 17:25

For now, I need mana elixirs in addition to draughts and potions, every 50rounds. Holy/dark cost too much mana. Another is that I don't have wisdom massively forged and the regeneration perk. Maybe I will get them in the future, but as for now, for ones like me who do not forge so much elementals seem to be much less mana-consuming. Also I need health elixirs to keep my health over the monsterbation threhold, which is 0.42 I set to prevent sparks. Often right after a cure or two, I still need to either cast cures or use potions/elixirs to keep my health high. Barely forged my clothes, I can only hit 450~500 rounds of GF, with scrolls. Hopefully, I want to hit 800 rounds if I forge all to 30...

Are the first 5 level forging for power armor and force shield worth it? If that gear will likely be replaced sooner or later. Also, between this and that, which should I pick? This post has been edited by Twin Divas: Jul 10 2018, 18:55

Also, between this and that, which should I pick? forge 5 is worth it. Both shields aren't very good. Force has better base block, but if you don't forge it the other one has better block. Find yourself a legendary, dude!

Are the buckler/waki really that rare? You can still get away with using a waki of nimble which also happens to double as a DW piece if you want.

It is not just about waki and buckler in general. DJNoni is talking about waki and buckler that is actuall usefull for 1H Mage.
