As 1H player with full power armour, how important is agility? I don't mean with weapons, I just mean should I be levelling it up to anything specific? For my level, which is 318. Should my agility also be 318? Lower?

Agility gives you no only so,e physical mitigation, but also a bit evade for every point and attack speed for every point above your level (you don't want both because less counters), so keep your total agility equal or lower than your level.

QUOTE(aleden @ Jul 5 2018, 15:06) *

Secondly, how important is getting OFC? I'm coming up on half a million credits... But as a dutch pennypincher, spending the money makes my dick soft. But if OFC is pretty much necessary, something not even 99% of people use it, but literally 100% use it, I'll probably have to buy it right?

It gives you ability to skip most monsters every 2-3 rounds, literally the best skill for 1H. You don't have to buy it, but it's very good investment in 1H that improves your speed considerably.

OFC increases your speed significantly, as for non-schoolgirl Arenas, and IW&GF. It doesn't take much money, and it's a must for melees. If you complete all Arenas everyday, your daily income should be more than 300k. 500k is not a big deal.

How do you figure that daily income is 300k?

Another test I did, last week, was to check the average gain by playing all Arenas and REs, at PFUDOR. The last time I had played all this in one day was in the beginning of 2016, but at that time I only played on the Normal difficulty (Lv 300 ~ 310, Rapier Balance + Buckler + Heavy Plate)(little power and too slow (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) ).

(IMG:[imgur.com] http://imgur.com/OwRElcv.jpg)

Average daily gain: 341,860 credits (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

Not included in the notes: the trophies won in Ring of Blood (FSM), all items obtained, salvaged equipments (some "mag cloth" and "mag wood"), Legendary drops.

Pointed out in my previous post, more attack speed/action speed make you do less counter-attack. A lot of your damage comes from counter-attack. More counter-attack per turn also gives you more overcharge, so more frequent OFC. Once you are able to clean PFD safely, not casting haste make you finish Arenas faster

Okay perfect. I don't ever caste haste, and my agility is around 240 right now. I pretty much figured exactly what you were saying, I just wanted to confirm.

I also figured I should probably get OFC lol. Should I open my own [WTB] and just have people send me figurines? I was thinking of doing it yesterday. I'm not in a huge rush, and I've never opened a thread in those two subforums. Anyways it seems you are always helping me with advice, so thank you (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Just to let a few things a bit more clear:
1) 1H still needs a bit of AGI to increase its PMit
2) OFC is a no-no if you can't start the next round right away without casting a spell. If you do use OFC anyway, you're most likely going to run out of spirit stance, which in the end makes you lose more time than you saved. This situation is typical for late Grindfest or Imperil Shortsword playstyle altogether.
3) OFC is also susceptible to make you run out of spirit stance if 1-2 monsters survived.
4) Due to high difficulty, Haste might be useful to help a 1H player to survive. Though if you can afford it, using Depr spells (Silence and Drain in particular) is largely preferable.

I think so.. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) i think you should switch to a better one, i saw you won a good rapier few weeks ago... (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

I stopped using haste/veil at around lv.38x because it makes your block/parry/counter lesser and you can't maintain your OC bar...

I'm still using haste in later rounds of Pfudor IW, but don't necessarily need it for arenas (though I suspect I'm still weak enough that haste will help by not requiring as many spirit draughts and cures). I do feel haste in overcharge though - charging is noticeably easier without haste.

What about your armors and shield? How much (%) your block/parry chance and Pmit/Mmit? You're using 1h-heavy, right?

So, I'm rather curious about the snowflake hath perk because I've heard it gives a chance of dropping a peerless equipment every million credits-worth of trophies. Is investing in the perk worth it, or should I invest in other things first?

If that's the case, should I invest in leveling up all of my training aspects so that my loot drops are maxed out or should I invest in hath perks first by buying the hath themselves?

You might need a better rapier. Can you post it here? What is your overall block% and parry%?

For me, when I use haste I (ironically) clear arenas slower, and my overcharge does not charge fast. Without hasten I clear arenas faster and constantly have max overcharge. I'm also 1H heavy (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

It's only worth it if you have more credits/hath than you could ever hope to spend. It is extremely expensive to acquire, and you get a peerless every 10m in trophies you shrine (bazaar price). IMO FoS should be one of the very last things you consider getting.

QUOTE

Follower of Snowflake will now, in addition to displaying your unyielding devotion to Snowflake, give a "free" bound Peerless equipment for every 10 million credits in buy value worth of trophies handed in at the shrine. The specific type and tier of Peerless is determined by the trophy and selection that takes you over the edge. Trophies you hand in prior to getting FoS will also be counted.

Training the loot drop stuff is pretty good. Personally I have them all trained up halfway and I don't regret it at all. As for hath perks, it depends on what your needs are.

Just to be sure, you still do have spirit shield running right?

Also, second the question on your block, parry, and physical/magical mitigation figures. For reference I'm around 65% block, 45% parry, 75% physical mitigation, and 70% magical mitigation. I do get sparked occasionally in later IW and Arenas (more so in the former) but usually that's due to me being greedy and not refreshing regen. Sparking against only 4 monsters, assuming you are keeping your hp reasonably high, is pretty weird if you have spirit shield active.

Hello, I'm pretty new and I'm just taking my time learning the game. I'm playing as a 1h/light armor user, but I've read the DOs and DONTs suggesting even melee should use spells. The trouble is, I don't know how to raise my magic proficiency so I could, well, use spells. Do I need to switch to a staff for a while or something?

No, you dont need a staff to use spells. About what spells are you talking about and what do you need them fore? Btw 1h light isnt the best to use. I suggest switch to 1H heavy or DW light.

And by spells, you'll mostly be using buffs and cures. Cure is important. Protection is important. As you level up you'll get Spark of Life, Spirit Shield, stuff like that. Some people cast debuffs like Imperil (I definitely do, it's great for the SG arenas which you'll encounter when you're past level 200).

Anyways, your proficiency is probably fine for the spells you'll be casting. Protect, cure, etc. Your proficiency for Deprecating and Supportive will rise, without you needing to pay any attention to it. You don't need to worry about elemental, divine, or forbidden. At least not for now. Later on if you want to play mage, then that's a different story.

But yeah, you don't need to (and are not recommended to) use offensive spells as melee.
