QUOTE(magiclamp @ Jul 4 2018, 20:27) Congrats! That item also probably can be used for 1h mage, so butcher might not be bad either.
Why would butcher help a 1H mage? I thought the counters would be pretty worthless compared to the spells you'll be throwing out. Though as an aside, I just put on a random leg force shield, and holy fuck 1H is so dumb. Why does my overcharge go up even when I'm in spirit stance?

As pooaa mentioned, ofc, but also because nothing else is really useful for 1h mage. Related to that, overcharge also goes up on successful blocks and I think parries counterattacks (which is why you can charge even though you don't attack with 1h mage). Edit: Counters, not just block/parry. This post has been edited by magiclamp: Jul 5 2018, 05:59

VV is more important than ia3 imo, because you're playing 1h, right?

Depends on the weapon, I used to use a Rapier of the Nimble, which gave me a lot more survivability. I never needed VV and got it after IA4.

Is scaling to lv500 intended? QUOTE(igs88 @ Jul 5 2018, 07:00) VV is more important than ia3 imo, because you're playing 1h, right?
More than that, they both are jollies, but vv is a bit more jolly than ia3

So, how much is the difference of clearance time when compared with slaughter? Because i bought ia1 -> ia2 -> VV -> crys1 -> thinking cap -> ia3 (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) ia3 when i was 42x... But still i fill my ia3 with "blank" (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) QUOTE(Scremaz @ Jul 5 2018, 15:17) More than that, they both are jollies, but vv is a bit more jolly than ia3

Also is the difference between going force shield and buckler of barrier large or small in that case? I assume I just go with the SDE one

If it's in Auction I will fight for it.

Because i bought ia1 -> ia2 -> VV -> crys1 -> thinking cap -> ia3 (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) ia3 when i was 42x... I couldn't test Slaughter properly because I changed to mage and auctioned my Rapier of Slaughter before I got the chance to forging it and IW properly it, but it shouldn't be a drastic difference, I estimated the difference of attack to be like 230 back then at lv 350 with low forge and butcher lv5. But I got a considerable amount of parry in exchange, I never had trouble during my early 1H build. This was the rapier of Nimble I used to use btw. Rapier

Just curious. Wouldn't SEA be more beneficial than SDE for 1h mage?

I think it's better because mages don't have many places to get Dex from, so more parry chance the better, instead of Agi, which is easy to get in every cloth piece.

On one Side, Dex increase the parry Chance, which can counter but can't avoid Magic Attack. Agi increase the evade Chance, which can't counter but can also avoid Magic Attack. On the other Side Dex boosts Physik Damage (usefull) and Physik Crit Chance (not very usefull). Agi boosts Physik Attack Speed (useless) and PMI (usefull). I'll say they don't make big Difference for 1H-Mage, you can use each Kind of PABs if you like.

Two questions: As 1H player with full power armour, how important is agility? I don't mean with weapons, I just mean should I be levelling it up to anything specific? For my level, which is 318. Should my agility also be 318? Lower? Secondly, how important is getting OFC? I'm coming up on half a million credits... But as a dutch pennypincher, spending the money makes my dick soft. But if OFC is pretty much necessary, something not even 99% of people use it, but literally 100% use it, I'll probably have to buy it right? Thanks guys (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I don't think so. Agi increases both evade and pmi, but dex only increases parry. Also parry is supposed to fail after block and evade tests fail, so I assume the effect of parry is really small QUOTE(chjj30 @ Jul 5 2018, 19:50) On one Side, Dex increase the parry Chance, which can counter but can't avoid Magic Attack. Thanks guys (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) High Agi is bad for 1h because lower Agi=less attack speed=less counters. If your agi is beyond your level, it adds attack speed which is useless for 1h players. I say 200~250 is enough for you. Same thing goes for haste. 1h doesn't need to cast haste in PFD Arenas so you get more counters and more overcharge-->more chances to cast OFC OFC increases your speed significantly, as for non-schoolgirl Arenas, and IW&GF. It doesn't take much money, and it's a must for melees. If you complete all Arenas everyday, your daily income should be more than 300k. 500k is not a big deal.

I don't ever caste haste, and my agility is around 240 right now. I pretty much figured exactly what you were saying, I just wanted to confirm. I also figured I should probably get OFC lol. Should I open my own [WTB] and just have people send me figurines? I was thinking of doing it yesterday. I'm not in a huge rush, and I've never opened a thread in those two subforums. Anyways it seems you are always helping me with advice, so thank you (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
