72% Eprof shoes are enough for end-game as well. But then you'd want charged, probably.

1. Why are crystal packs so cheap now, has there been a flood of miners?
2. Is archmage actually better for non-imp holy/dark mages (over spellweaver)?

It probably has to do with either people undercutting other people's prices or a lack of demand for crystal packs.

And because passive income from high level monsters is slow, but I guess with current prices ~600k for plus high grade and minus low grade and some pills is not that bad.

it might just be better, but not by so much that I would bother reforge. Cause spell4 still rocks as well.

If I'm aiming for a specific 2 potencies on a soulbound piece, is it better to play on a lower difficulty to see the first 2 levels, or play on IWBTH and see the first 4?

Lower, by that way you did only waste two (one) instead of four (two) amnesia shards (with Dark Descent).

First 2 levels I think makes more sense (unless you have so many amnesia shards that it doesn't matter). If you are trying for that on soulbound I hope you have dark descent (otherwise it might even be better to do first level by itself and then second level by itself).

And since it's an offhand, it should be fatality/overpower, right?

Congrats! That item also probably can be used for 1h mage, so butcher might not be bad either.

Why would butcher help a 1H mage? I thought the counters would be pretty worthless compared to the spells you'll be throwing out.

Though as an aside, I just put on a random leg force shield, and holy fuck 1H is so dumb. Why does my overcharge go up even when I'm in spirit stance?

As pooaa mentioned, ofc, but also because nothing else is really useful for 1h mage.

Related to that, overcharge also goes up on successful blocks and I think parries counterattacks (which is why you can charge even though you don't attack with 1h mage).

Edit: Counters, not just block/parry.
