QUOTE(Twin Divas @ Jul 1 2018, 19:46) *

After playing in alt and with IW10

I use spirited OFC at the begining of each round with 2-3 SG

Haven't tried infusion yet

This is the result (PFUDOR DwD)

Should I stay on PFUDOR or play on something easier?

Attached Image

I think you're gonna be faster with infusions+vital strike+spirit [ON]+imperil (?)+ no OFC use (except for the last round (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) ). Because refilling the overcharge bar is gonna take long time imo, and when you play 1h-heavy, your oc bar will be like "infinite" so you can do VS many times after cooldown as you like without worrying about depleting oc bar...

So i think you can play = on PFUDOR +infusions+vital strike+spirit [ON]. And that's way better than me. I played pfudor at lv.35x (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

My experience was mana and spirit ran out too fast without casting OFC every 2 or 3 SGs round.

And to get full OC I only need the last SG with 50% health, which is around 20 hits. Killing 7 other monsters may actually be longer than this imo.

(IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) mana and spirit run out faster? Err..., i played my 1st iwbth dwd at lv.310-311 but not untill ran out of mana/spirit, though i finished it around 2 hours and 40-50minutes, few weeks ago i ran through pfdwd till end at around almost 2hours and 4,8xx turns, but still no mana/spirit runs out. And no ofc/imperil only buffs, i used ony infusions+VS+spirit ON+5-7 mana/spirit draughts.... (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) it's easy but take too long time in my case... I did not actually let my mana/spirit run out. Once I tried to fight the non-OFC way in the 3-SGs-round, my health dropped to emergency stop(50%) and had to heal multiple times every round and half of my spirits just evaporated within turns. So I decided to stay the safe way, OFC at the beginning of each round and slowly [] the SGs.

I guess OFC is more usuful and help with spirit management if used at the very begining of the round (if you don't have the mitigation, blk and/or parry to kill normal monsters with counters while fighting the SG's), since more enemies -> more attacks -> more Spirit Shield usage. (?)

It's the exact opposite of Uncle's method, when you are supposed to use OFC when three of the SGs are weakened and it's your final move of the round. Interesting.

Maybe minHP= 0.5 it's too high, setting it to 0.3 (like myself) will save you a few turns. When I used it at 0.5 sometimes I felt I stopped far too often.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yesterday I tried to use imperil/OFC in PFDwD just like Uncle told me but it didn't go well. I reduced the number of turns just by using imperil, but my time was something like 39 minutes (like 45 seconds faster than normal) but with 2.4 t/s and normally I'm stuck at 1.7-2.1 t/s.

But I still need to set the keybindings so I can play with one hand, plus more practice and maybe I can reduce my time by 1 or 1:30 minutes. And without spending credits~ at least I hope so

Only when they actually make enough damage to trigger the shield. If your MM or PM is high enough to prevend them making enough damage, you need of course less spirit points.

Well, damage and block/parry chance is what this is mostly about. If you have high parry/block chance, it is of course a lot easier to keep your spirit mode going on, or at least refill your spirit faster. Btw because i know it is easy to forget, when your weapon use holy or dark damage, either from its own elementel strike of from infusion, you should activate and slot the holy/dark imperil ability.

Well, doing that without any credits could be hard. But allready forging your set a little bit, can have quite a bit of effect. And something like block and parry you should even forge a mutch as possible. They are in the end not that expensive, or at least parry isnt nowadays.

Yep, that is why I added the "mitigation" part in my first line.

Rly? I'm using a Hallowed rapier, and I use dark infusion for SG arenas Should I slot them both? btw what is more effective using dark infusions or the infusion for the element of the day? (for SG arenas).

Well, I said that because I felt my first run really awkward, with no imperil shortcut I used the mouse to click on the icon every time, and since it's a completely different style from what I used till yesterday sometimes I stopped and I was like "What I'm supposed to do now?". So many errors and still I got almost the same time with the method I'm used to the most. But yes, I have the parry forged to MAX (until I level up the forge), and the same goes for the BLK thanks to senpai. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

The armor it's not forged not even to 5, I need 2.6 M to do that and I'm almost there. Being poor is suffering. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Because I'm dumb I trained too much levels of Ability Boost also I got back the ability points used for Haste and Shadow Veil, since I don't use those skills anymore. Righ now I have like 40 ap. Still, maybe I'll slot only HI.

Thanks again for all your help, Uncle.

Such things do happen. Lets see, i have 13 unused ability points and i have trained Ability Boost to 58. But there it still cost not even 8k. So i doubt you wasted too much credits.

QUOTE(Xythuard @ Jul 1 2018, 17:59) *

Thanks again for all your help, Uncle.

Allways glad when i can help. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif) I just want to mention. You dont need to forge everything at once. Even i just use one BoS after the other. And you have allready parry and block maxed out atm. Those two are allready quite important so i would say you are on a good way. Just never expect counter attacks to do most of your work. They will help of course, but they will never deal as much damage as you do with normal attacks.

QUOTE(-vincento- @ Jun 30 2018, 18:59) *

Most equipments hanging in those shopping are overpriced. Some would negotiate if you throw a pm, others whoever are greedy just don't wanna sell gear at a fair price. Usually the price you see isn't the minimum price they are willing to sell at.

last time i tried to negotiate a price based on quotations from someone who understands more than me i found myself badmouthed on a bunch of different (external-to-this-site) boards for a bunch of different reasons.
and pretty sure that if you try to do it with a certain person you'll be engaged in an auction with an invisible bidder.

so, uh... caution with who you're trying to negotiate.

QUOTE(decondelite @ Jul 1 2018, 09:35) *

"Overpriced" is a weak word to describe the practices. Let's say that there's a big share of shop keepers who think that everything they have is oh so valuable because they had that one drop in a lifetime and they obviously don't go to auctions often enough.

aye.

QUOTE(decondelite @ Jul 1 2018, 09:35) *

And there are also those who are scammers on purpose, waiting for random ignorants to drop by and get hooked. Because hey the ignorant one is not very patient and very picky regarding prefix, suffix and maybe even ADB or God knows what.

aye x2

QUOTE(decondelite @ Jul 1 2018, 09:35) *

But frankly we can't really blame anyone, except the ignorants who get scammed by buying randomly without the advice of an expert beforehand. "Caveat emptor", yada yada.

aye x3. worth mentioning that the same "caveat emptor" somehow protects buyer too. if the seller doesn't know the real price of the item, he shouldn't say "oh, wait, price changed in the two minutes between your request and my update" or shit like that invisible auction to justify it. their loss.

QUOTE(decondelite @ Jul 1 2018, 09:35) *

I remember Noni suggesting to have some sort of place to "rate" the shops to help protecting the newbies, but I was against that due to people who would be abusing that system and a big majority of players who wouldn't give a shit to it, except to trash one shop when they're not happy.

aye x4. guess we were a bit smoky when we didn't think about that.

QUOTE(decondelite @ Jul 1 2018, 09:35) *

And if anything too serious ever happens, we can do something against the abusive shopkeeper.

A new Player should learn about this Game. If he or she doesn't know something, z. B. the Price or the Value of Equipments, he or she can ask us, and we'll help them. If he or she knows nothing, and refuse to learn or to ask, he or she should pay for his or her Decision. That's fair.

And when i think about that, call it fair would mean, punish people who, for whatever reason, are too afraid to ask a question here. That is a little too harsh for a community to be in my opinion.

This forum is just made of plain text (well at least not inside posts) and has no big beautiful banners or posters to direct new players.

I still remember I was so confused about where to go when I first came to seek help with HV. So I spent hours reading this and that. After so many posts I have read, my first impression to this forum board was that whatever I ask here I am going to get "here is a wikipedia of Hentaiverse that you can make use of:)". I hesitated a week more to ever make my first post here.

The price check thread used to have a description saying "beware of a scammer". When a new player comes for an equipment evaluation, how can he tell who he or she can trust?

Okay, so this has to be a missunderstanding. I am well aware what fair means. And i dont think that it is fair to blame players for not asking here, because i know of at least one case someone just didnt dare to post his question here, because he tought the question would not qualify for the experts thread. We have to keep in mind, new players are mostly not just new to the game, but also new to the forum. And some are a bit shy when they see a community they are know nothing about. So blaming them for doing a mistake is a lot, but not fair.

He or she can and should trust no one, but uses his or her own Knowledge to judge the Price and the Value of a Equipment, that's why he or she must learn. Our Opinions are only Reference, yes, I know, the most of you are kind People, but he or she must make the Decision him-/herself with her own Knowledge, you good People can't make Decision for him or her.
