i know my proficiencies aren't up to par with my level quite yet but i'm really struggling with 1h mage in pffest and even IWBTHfest. PFfest around round 500 monsters are triggering my spirit shield so often that i cant keep my spirit up for spark of life. on top of that monsters are almost killing me in one hit. i know i can forge my gear but i didn't think i would need to forge that much with a shield and waki. shield block is maxed and waki parry is 38, how much should i consider forging the armor to be able to do PF/IWBTHfest my current stats are: IA5 buffs: all perks: VV, RR, Eminent Elementalist, DDV one of my problems is that i frequently have a few monsters resist my imperil causing me to take more hits before i start killing. i'm thinking of using weaken but i need to get more ability points before i can do that. is there something else i need to be doing besides imperil and attack? i want to at least be able to complete IWBTHfest with 1hmage.

QUOTE(jackalo @ Jun 23 2018, 00:10) how much should i consider forging the armor to be able to do PF/IWBTHfest
Well lets just say, with more block and more parry and of course more protection with power armor and more health i notice that they hit allready after round 500. But i am not sure if forging phase/cloth armor is really worth it when it comes to protection. But i would guess it does. But what else could you do? So i would say forge. QUOTE(Uncle Stu @ Jun 23 2018, 01:40) What do you mean? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) QUOTE The rate of gains is based on the amount of experience (including any bonuses to EXP gain) gained during battles where a proficiency is used in some way.

Yes, assimilator training does increase the prof gain.

QUOTE(Look A Moth @ Jun 22 2018, 16:42) Outside of the Tokenizer hath perk, do either of the drop rate training options in the game increase the likelyhood of a token drop? Been sitting at 4 blood tokens forever now and I need one more.
Scavenger. More drops overall means higher chance of one of them being a Token. If you want tokens, try to complete arenas, the higher ones have good chances of dropping a token as clear bonus. This post has been edited by Nicosai: Jun 23 2018, 01:20

You get slightly more drops. Slightly more drops overall. So if you really do plan to train Scavenger just for Chaos token, you do nothing but waste credits. I dont have the actual numbers, but my guess would be that even from 0 to 50 you would maybe get another token every two weeks. Maybe per week if you have at least Tokenizer I. Iirc some people did IW runs for getting tokens. Is faster and easier to complete as GF when you allready have done your arenas.

I'm also working on a 1H mage build, and I'm not 100% certain on what to do, but I can see a few things that would help with your build. Take the following with a grain of salt. You should get Evil Enchantress, that should help a bit with Imperil. Also, you might want to train a few levels of Assimilator to speed up the prof grind a bit. Add OFC to your spell rotation if you haven't done so yet. Physical attack affects the damage done by OFC and Counter-Attacks, so you should forge ADB on the waki a little bit, and maybe try to get But5. Getting to IW10 is probably a good idea too. Also, make sure to slot the 1H damage ability. Always use featherweight shards, and maybe Aether Shards too.

Because he/she need more money or just for a shrine tests... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) My question : Did anyone ever try 1h-heavy in mix suffix? Like [rapier of slaughter] + [force shield] + 1 power of slaughter + 1 power of balance + 1 power of protection + 1 power of warding + 1 shielding plate (maybe?)... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) is it good combination?

Since mage don't use basic attack much and prefix give elemental strike on attack.
Should I care prefix of staff?

This is good advice. Next to this, forge your evade & agility of your cloth armors. It's expensive, I know. But each time you do a couple of forge levels, you gain a couple of rounds in PFFEST. And remember, PFFEST is supposed to be extremely hard, else what would be the fun? And in 2nd half of fest, imperil 2 times max then kill some, imperil the survivors, then kill some more.

About Magic Crit Chance formulaHow to substitute proficiency_bonus and main_hand_Magic_Crit_Chance? I have maxed ability, and having 496 cloth prof and 15.62% crit chance (12.75 base) from staff now. Should Cloth armor's Magic_Crit_Chance always = 0? Then whats the meaning of including then in this formula? This post has been edited by Lastwizard05: Jun 23 2018, 09:17
