How do magic and spirit regen work?

I have read "Action Speed" page on wiki. But clearly my "+21
magic regen per TICK" doesn't mean I can restore 21 mana point per time unit.

The "Character Stats" page says "Magic Regen / 15" per "turn". The number seems correct as I experienced in battle. But the description about "2 seconds per turn" confuses me. And why "per tick" in the game? Why "/15" and "/30"?

Another question is about Spirit Stance.

In "Battles" wiki page, it says "consumes one SP and 10% Overcharge per round". However not far above that, a "round" is defined as killing all monsters or player being defeated.

The actual consumption of Spirit Stance is clearly not as low as 10%OC per ROUND, but neither as high as 10% per TURN. What is the exact time unit here?

there are time-units and action-turns. you can watch time pass as your buffs tick down. it is this time that governs regeneration. 10% OC is consumed per action, but it can seem like less because you regain some OC from your attacks

Force is the best. Block works with both physical and magical attacks, Parry only works with physical.

Wiki page advised mage stats can kept low or even 0 for STR and DEX. But I doubted it is not suitable to those players new to mage gear right?

Only if you have good enough mage build, then you may not need large spirit pool to clear x20 Arena, RB and RE safely. Otherwise keeping STR and DEX very low will lose 1-200 spirit points but not helping you increase even 1-3 points for INT & WIS, doesn't it sounds bad idea? Even you completed your mage build, if you planned to play x20 IW and GF, I don't think you won't consume your spirit pool brutally in higher rounds, unless you always use special items.

Both pabs and hath perk increase base spirit. If you're using spirit for spirit shield or sol, these use up percentage of base spirit, so afaik it doesn't matter how big your spirit bar is in spirit units, the more you have - the more you'll consume. Only spirit ability increases your max spirit by percentage of base, so consumption (in spirit units) stays the same, while actual amount of spirit available increases.

PS. I keep a bit of dex on my mage for that little amount of free parry.

Correct. More spirit has exactly zero effect. DEX however, gives you a bit of parry even as mage. Doesn't help a lot, but is not completely useless either. I have 21% parry change, only for DEX.

This is my first time asking for help, so I'm sorry if I'm not doing it right.
Please let me know how to do better.

I haven't changed my equipment in years, so I decided to do that today.
I went through my inventory and did my best to determine the best equipment for me.
I tried to pick armor with optimal physical mitigation and magical mitigation, and with low interference.
My reasoning for low interference, is that I want to keep healing mana-cost-efficient, so I don't run out of it too fast and can keep fighting.

Apparently, I was already wearing almost all Shade equipment.
I'm still not sure how I managed to find so much of it, since I have never utilized the forums to get any items.

My question is this: Is my new equipment set actually better than my old equipment set?

Here are all the equipment links.

Old set:
Main hand: Superior Ethereal Shortsword of Slaughter
Off hand: -
Helmet: Superior Shade Helmet of Negation
Body: Exquisite Zircon Shade Breastplate of the Arcanist
Hands: Superior Shade Gauntlets of Negation
Legs: Average Shade Leggings of the Arcanist
Feet: Average Shade Boots of Negation

New set:
Main hand: Superior Ethereal Shortsword of Slaughter
Off hand: Average Buckler of the Barrier
Helmet: Superior Leather Helmet of Warding
Body: Exquisite Zircon Shade Breastplate of the Arcanist
Hands: Exquisite Leather Gauntlets of Protection
Legs: Exquisite Leather Leggings of Protection
Feet: Superior Leather Boots of Warding

New set is slightly better, but they're both not good for 1H. Light armor is best for DW and I think 2H and Niten. 1H relies on Block and Parry to tank hits. Ideally you should be using a Rapier/Shortsword of Slaughter, a Force shield, and Plate/Power armor. Interference will be much higher than any other playstyle, but that doesn't matter since you won't need to cure much and you'll be able to maintain spirit stance all the time (which reduces spell cost). Draughts are super cheap anyway, so don't be afraid to use them as often as needed. If you'd rather keep using light armor, you should switch from 1H to DW or 2H. I'm not an expert on either of those playstyles though.

If you need better gear, there are several shops in the WTS section that offer free/cheap equips and consumables to low level players. FreeShop, and decondelites shop/auctions are good places to start looking.

What is the best way to get started with the Monster Lab?
Is it better to choose your stats carefully or just inflate PL, how do you spend your crystals?
I'm level 245, I mainly want to get gifts and credits

BTW I have a monster at PL 66 that keeps getting its name removed, I've tried several names and the monster is always back to being unnamed after a while.

create more monsters, don't use chaos tokens on your monsters. Use crystals only when morale is gettin low, or you can even use happy pills. By far the best return on investment: many monsters of PL25 without chaos upgrades.

When you have good income, you can choose 1 or 2 monsters (with funny monster names) that you will feed lots of crystals. Then, at PL1000-1100 or so, us high-level players will meet them. You get income from players that flee from battle. You can upgrade those monsters with some chaos tokens to increase chance of double gifts. But this has a very long pay-back period. So do this only when you are rich. And only with funny monster names (when in doubt, you can ask for advice on this).

If your name gets removed, that's strange. Could it be some script that's doing something wrong? Monster names don't get removed by admin - at least not that I know. Some words are blocked, but those you can't enter ('that's a bad name, and you should feel ashamed'-message). And really unimaginative names, like numbering them, will lead to flagged monsters that don't give gifts. Only way to remove name is if you click 'delete monser' or if the monster-naming hasn't succeeded in the first place.

PXP0 is complicated, I'm not sure we ever fully explained or agreed on how it works. It seems to reflect the sum of all the weapon stats as said, but it also turns around and adds a tiny bonus into each stat. The tiny bonus is bigger for some stats and smaller for others, and it also matters because forging does not improve the tiny bonus.

So if you had 2 weapons with the exact same stats, and different PXP0, the lower PXP0 weapon actually becomes a tiny tiny bit better after forging.

But usually you would look for a weapon with higher PXP0 because in all probability it means the stats are higher on average.

So I am approaching Level 300, the level to be able to do A Dance with Dragons. I am currently running all others Arena challenges at PFUDOR with no problems, but kinda scared to do DwD at IWTBH/PFUDOR for few reasons.

1. The fact that it is the very last challenge of the Arena.
2. I don't see many players using the Dovahkiin title. Either it is too hard or people prefer 10% bonus damage of Godslayer, the latter is more likely to be the case I guess.
3. I took a lot more damage than usual as well as being sparked many times today when doing the first Arena challenges from First Blood to Dark Skies on the first page. Equipments were repaired too. Could this be a sign that I am not ready for DwD yet?

Thank you.

If you're using 1h, get a good force shield and forge block will help alot.
And remember to use spirit shield.
