I already get the Evil Enchantress hath perk. Have better, still miss out half of time. What I want to ask is Magic Accuracy is affect it somehow?

I think deprecating prof affect more than magic acc, my deprecating prof is only 361.xx but my imperil almost always landed on monsters, well, not all three actually but still hit. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

Gold Star or DD6 first? I have enough money to buy DD6 outright currently, and I have plenty of awards so not sure if GS is strictly worth it at this point.

I'm not sure how to improve my armor. Every now and then I get new weapons, they have better +dmg than their lower level counterparts, but all the new armor pieces have the exact same range of %-mitigation.

Some pieces have a better primary stat addition and a "Superior Onix" helmet I found has the extra dark protection, but don't the armor you find improve aside from that? The level 300+ items you can see in the store isn't significantly better than the stuff I put on at level 10.

What's the level I can begin to see better armor at? Do I start crafting early? I've waited for a proper base to craft on, but it seems difficult to get one.

I'm level 82 now and still increasing more than 10 levels per day, but seeing everything except your armor improve is a bit of a downer.

A lot of people, gift decent gear in the WTS sub-forum I believe...
They help beginners. Look into that. There's a lot of decent gear and free money. High level players are willing to gift those in order to help beginners plus making this little obscure game a bit more popular. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

Mitigation is no direct value but a percentage of the damge received, so a 10% mitigation at level 10 is just as good as one at level 500. (The percentage increases with higher level equipment, but rather slowly (difference between level 1 and level 500 equipment is 25% of the base value)).
Instead of level, quality of the equipment pieces (Superior -> Exquisite -> Magnificent -> Legendary) makes more of a difference.

Oh, and "of Protection" and "of Warding" suffixes increase defense noticably.

Thanks, appreciate it, I'm much more interested in knowing how to make it on my own though. I've understood that I need to get out of the area where "average" is almost the only thing I see, then salvage superior and better stuff and upgrade with the materials I get from that in the forge. Enchants and other things come after that, right?

Well, all mage just need all "charged" or all "radiant" or mixed, for prof look for cotton, for damage look for phase, so "radiant phase" or "charged cotton" are the best choice..

First, see wts subforum, so many free shops that will help low level player, sometimes they have exquisite or even magnificent and legendary below 150-200. For low level upgrade and soulfuse are not important, you'll just gonna change/switch equipments/style soon.

A bit more details for phase cloth prefix:

Radiant, Charged >>> Frugal, Mystic > Plain prefix

I can only respond to the shield bit. I think it would be fine to soulfuse, but because it is still so close to your level, I would prioritize other equipment. Getting a shield with the SDE PABs and 94% block or better is going to cost you quite a bit of money.

while it doesn't make a sense on absolute terms, "minus" in a comparison (aka "finite difference operator", for those who care) just means that the new item has worse stats than the current one
