I'm new here (both in the forums and the HV) and I just wanted to say that the first page of this is incredible useful! Thanks you all for creating it.

So, do I get a price check on my equipment first and then go to Superlantanium's auction to sell it. Also, do I just send him the item for no credits, or do I get sent an email after posting on his forum. Or does he give me the information on the buyer like who they are and how much they are paying for.

Post it in the price check thread first to at least know whether the equipment worth auctioning or not then go send the item to Superlatanium / SakiRaFubuKi to be auctioned or decondelite if your item is not that superior but low level (<350).

Btw if I want to get into mage what element should I go try first?
I kinda want to get into wind/elec but I'm afraid some of the equipment will be too contested and very pricey mmm...

If your equip is the shadowdancer thing yesterday, it will get minimum bid in super's auction. Just send it to super via MM with no cod. And if you want more infos just check his thread "super's auction discussion thread" in this subforum...

I do think you should go wind/elec or just dark. Any style, even if you don't have chargeds and radiants will work fine in Arenas, but wind/elec have more potentials than cold/fire in the long-term. The only priority is profs, elemental profs and deprecating profs. Wind/elec are stronger than imperil dark. Non-imperil dark is stronger than elemetals and much cheaper compared to holy, but from what I see it would take time and lots of credits to get the profs and forging , and radiants to play non-imperil styles.
Some lv500 charged clothes are not that pricey due to low competition. Maybe 300k to 5m each. Redwood staffs are also fine. Even if you don't have the budget to buy charges, plain cloth should work fine. The first things your budget will go, I guess it would be hath perks, then the staff and forging, then clothes(or go plain first).
The hath perks do cost a lot for beginners...

not with my build, with only 1 radiant for 1.0 prof factor. I have optimized for imperil play up to now, also because of my not-perferctly-high t/s (2.8 is max achievable for me). I may try with 2 or 3 radiants, but that will take ... about 70m ... to complete. And then, it's probably not faster than imperil play with my t/s. So ... this may not be a good idea.

On wiki it's the formula is:
prof_factor = (effective_proficiency - monsterlevel) / monsterlevel

In the properties of this item

[138153186] Magnificent Kite Shield of Deflection

I can see "316, Dex End Agi, BLK 11%", but below there is written:
"316, Dex End Agi, Mag ranges: BLK 79%, Pmit 94%, Mmit 85%, Dex 91%, End 101%, Agi 74%, Pier 86%"

Can anyone please explain the reason for the big difference in BLK?
I suspect that (sadly) the second is overrated and with that all the other good values.... (including that very strange End 101%).

end 101% is fine, its just this example is better than all others in database. As for difference in blk, well, usually just 'ranges' means 'legendary ranges'. However for non-legendary percentile ranges gives you magnificent range. So blk value is 79% of magnificent range but 11% of legendary range.

If you are using HV toolbox, the data provided are obsolete. The percentile ranges, the second ones, give you up-to-date ranges. Sometimes some equips have weird percentages, sometimes due to forging calculations or whatsoever. Just ignore them or you can click send ranges...


opps. yea the percentile does give you ranges respective to your quality as default. So 79% is mag ranges, the 11% is legendary range that HV provides, which is also correct in this case.. Click the percentages and you can adjust to legendary range. For some equips, not all, HV toolbox will have obsolete ranges


Click the ranges, the numbers, you will see send ranges right below where you can adjust your respective ranges
