So what about highly forged late game gear that isn't optimal for endgame? Obviously you don't want to end up with millions of materials trapped forever in a plain phase regardless of stats or in a low roll charged/radiant (because by the sound of it, improving base stats will be a lot more expensive than just buying something at that level). So should you salvage them before the update in persistent or salvage AND use them on an endgame-viable piece?

Or is it too early to judge because everything can still change? Because getting punished for investing in anything BUT endgame-tier gear does sound pretty harsh.
