1. I am DW light build going by the wiki with the weapons of choice being rapier of slaughter on main hand and wakizashi of the nimble on the off hand. It's been an enjoyable experience so far with all the parrying (and evading) for survivability combined with unleashing Frenzied Blows for "AoE damage" so now I think I'm too comfortable and afraid to try out other weapon combinations. How do other weapon combinations in this build survive with the parry chance not as high as these two I'm using?

2. I also kinda wanna try switching to 1H heavy build but while I can sorta understand survival for this build relies on being tanky as hell from equipment pieces, what does this build have for "AoE damage" as the counterpart of DW build's Frenzied Blow? In other words, how does this build clear battles faster without an attack that hits multiple enemies at once?

The one quasi-AoE would be counter attacks that can be triggered by Blocking and Parrying, up to 3* per turn at a fairly generous chance of 75%, which also stun the enemy for 3 turns. You can optimize that a bit by just hitting stunned enemies, and let the non-stunned ones hit themselves (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
And since counters also give you a bit of overcharge back, you can usually activate Spirit Stance the moment your bar is full, and run with it until you clear the thing. Except the arenas with lots of the schoolgirls where you'll want to use Vital Strike frequently. Those will be Spirit Stance until you run out, spend a bunch of turns to recharge, then go vrooom again (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

And, well~ according to some players that already have everything, 1H is by far the slowest to clear anything, see the topic HV Battle Records to get a general idea.

* some additional info about counter attacks from the wiki:
QUOTE
The number of Counter-Attacks that can be performed each turn depends on [One-Handed] proficiency.

<100 - one counter
100-199 - two counters
>200 - three counters

try a club of slaughter + rapier of balance. That's very nice. At higher levels, those are quite cheap to buy. Now you have max defense, which means it's slower. Also keep adding shadowdancers (or fleet as temporary improvement) in the rest of your gear. Also, forge, forge, forge. Then End-Game: get some savage shadowdancers. And you'll be very quick.

1h: in the end DW should be a bit quicker.

Why is that? Is it for the random gifts?

Most of the output come from gifts every 3days. Players are hard to kill by monsters, so gifts from win/kill are rare.

1H generates a constant stream of Overcharge during battle, so it can maintain Spirit Stance and use the Orbital Friendship Cannon. https://ehwiki.org/wiki/Skills#Special_Skills

I forgot my 20-character bidkey for Superlatanium after switching browsers, and since Superlatanium’s email inbox is full, I can’t send a message. Does anyone know how to resolve this?

Is it worth levelling the monsters up besides eliminating low grade mats?

A few random questions. First, what is Shade of the Arcanist used for? Second, if I get to Isekai Floor 50, what's the best thing to spend my peerless voucher on? I'm currently thinking staff, because there's roughly a 1 in 15 to get a best-in-slot item (P*WD or PHOH), and surely a subpar peerless staff can still be useful for a while? Also, how do I gain proficiency to eventually do mage? Is the best way just to cast a T1 spell every round while doing 1H?

He is not active on forum anymore. MM Super in game and wait 1-2 weeks.

Wait, is the auction entirely automated? That's super cool.

Probably good enough to auction on Super's auction. Any legendary proficiency piece is usually going to be worth something, especially if low-level. Worth a lot if it's also Charged.

No. There is a function called "Power level calculator" in monster lab if you have HVU installed.
You need PL750 to eliminate LGM
The cost for PL750 = hundreds of PL25 = 22xPL250
And it takes years to get what you paid for. So, take it step by step. all 25 -> all 250 > all 750, and so on

I don't think the ISK non-prefixed dark cotton cap is worth anything. Maybe 50-200k for ISK dark mage?
If there is still ISK dark mage who needs a prof part.

Shade of the Arcanist is used for landing spells, mainly being used in TW.
I only know hc_br is using this set.
People tend to use of the shadowdancer in Persistent

If you plan to be a mage, yes, staff. Weapons have the highest chance to get the correct prefix+suffix.
If it's subpar staff, then it's worse than Legendary staff with correct prefix_suffix. It's better to buy legendary one

You can gain prof 1 time each round for each type of spell. So, casting once per round is enough.
Casting T1 each round every day might be troublesome. You can only farm the prof 2-3 days before you're ready to play mage.

No, monster level is that big number under the letter in battle, that (except in the Tower) is always equal to the player's level. See the text on Tower page for reference.

Thank you everyone, I hope I didn't misunderstand you, the translation seems a bit wrong, does it mean that this equipment has no value, if there are no stars, just sell the system directly?
