Is investing in Better Spark ability pointless when I have it on auto-cast?

the mana cost reduction still counts also when on auto cast. So I'd say it's still worth it.

depends if you have hours to spend on HV. If so, it is worth it. But if I were you I'd work towards speeding up the 225/250 arenas. Level up fast and start collecting credits for mage gear. Then create a basic mage build at level 310 to blast through those levels.
You play 1h heavy?
- use Vital Strike on the Schoolgirls: but only when all of the following coditions are met:
1. The Schoolgirl boss (SG) is 'imperiled'
2. The SG is stunned
3. Spirit Stance is ON

Doing that consequently will speed up those arena's a bit.

I am currently playing mage.

While the 225/250 eats up time, in general the other Arena levels also eat up a bunch of time on higher difficulty levels. So I'm wondering if its worth it to do all of it. It doesn't seem like the difficult level is materially improving my drops or credits. Most of my gear has been gotten from the shrine RNG.

What's the recommended order of casting self-buff and enemy debuff spells in fights before I start attacking?

hi experts.
i seek help with my keybinds.

a while ago someone told me that if i wanted to bind the side buttons of my mouse i needed to install my mouse hub and map them with scroll left and scroll right.

i already had my mouse software running so i created a profile for HV and mapped scroll left/right on the two side buttons.
the mapping works because i checked on notepad and it scrolls left and right as i click and hold down the buttons.

on monsterbation i put this in the "wheel left" binding:
Impulse(Cast('Vital Strike'))

the problem is, it just doesn't work.

did i mess up something?

Still, depend on if you have time. Just clear from bottom to top. If you feel "that's enough", then stop. That's it.
Do not feel stressful to clear all.

Doesn't matter. The first round is easy and usually start with only 3-4 monsters.
I cast buff on myself first.
The key point is the expire duration. AVOID to extend your buff at the beginning turns of rounds, especially if you're forced to extend your buff that would be terrible.

Hard to tell. I want to make sure we have the same setting on Monsterbation first.
enable wheel bindings everywhere.
Also, sometimes if I click on the top of browser (the tab part), I might not have wheel work even I'm on that page. Try to click the webpage body first.

This is very limit I can guess.

Though redwood can be ultimate staff for fire/cold, more players use willow. Under this circumstance,
In term of damage, wind/elec set has 7-10% (about 7 when max forged) more damage because willow has 30 more wind/elec EDB.
But 7-10%+ damage might provide you more or less turn speed. For example,

If you do 95% damage to monster, wind/elec can kill them in 1 turn, but fire/cold need 2turns.
If you do 90%, then both need 2 turns.
Also, if you kill slower as mage, you cure more, and if you cure more, you kill slower.
The benefit from improved damage percentage is not linear.

Holy/dark deals at least 10%+ damage for SG. And Holy has a better debuff.
However, from the record, they use a lot less turn to complete each arena.
Also, Holy in non-SG battlefield is completely different, holy mage can do non-imp easily with its debuff. Higher # of consumable need but a lot less real time need.

Ugh, I don't know what to do with mage now. Should I just spend 4-5mil on a basic fire/cold set to start out, while getting equipment to do Dark eventually? Or stick with my 1H melee until then, knowing I'll likely need level 400 anyways to soulfuse good mage gear? And holy is a meme I thought unless you have 200mil+ to spend. For some context I get about 400k credits a day from gold star + h@h by doing literally nothing. Mostly worried that I will get to level 500 with too low proficiency to switch mage styles, or that ele mage won't be fast enough to offset the opportunity cost.

And, speaking of gear, how do I get a bidkey for Super's auction? Their DMs seem to be closed.

if you use it for Vital Strike, then it is easier just to map the mouse button to a key and then use the keybind to do the vital strike. Works for me, easier than trying to map the wheel right/left.

Fire especially is very affordable these days and your prof will catch up quickly even if you've never touched mage before. No need to go for mage just for the prof. But since you have solid income you could easily start collecting pieces for a set. There's less stuff available before you hit 400, but at your level fusable pieces should show up in the auction often enough.

thank you, i didn't have that setting enabled.
it didn't solve the issue though.
i tried again scrolling left and right using the buttons, this time on the browser.
it seems that it's just not enabled on my browser, since on notepad it's still working.
it's not worth wasting more time on this, i'll just go with Noni's suggestion.

I'm not too sure about that, but you can keybind stuff that is not even in the quickbar leaving more open slots in the bar. You could have draughts on one key and it would cycle them since they have a cooldown, meaning pressing a key 1-3 times for them. Binding draughts to separate keys would work too of course. Spells like arcane focus, heartseeker, and regen aren't spammed but rather refreshed when needed, so those could easily be left out of the quickbar and just be on keys that work for you.

Monsterbation has extend quickbar on setting.
There is a "?" beside it on "[persistent]" . When you hover to "?" you can see the syntax guide.
You actually can have all spells on quickbar

Anyway, I'm not going to use spell by clicking quickbar and I don't recommend that

you should definitely use it! Game is so much faster with that script. Saves you valuable time and saves your tendons / hand/ wrist etc. from all the clicking.

solution is that we need more players that want to play Grindfest every day. Me, I've done my share of Grindfests, years ago. It gives some income (depending on ED price) but it takes a lot of time to do

I wouldn't recommend mage until your level is 310 and you have the three-target Imperil ability slotted. And even then you would first need to grind mage proficiencies playing pre-300 Arenas (at 300 Arenas become default PFUDOR) on Nintendo using Weaken and then you need to gauge when you're strong enough for dropping Weaken and then moving on to IWBTH+Weaken and so on to PFUDOR (amount of healing you need to survive is a good gauge: if you always have some options left, then it's time to move up), meanwhile playing the 300 using 1H-Heavy. Scrolls can be used instead of Weaken: credits in exchange for saving your time casting it. Weaken/scrolls usage isn't binary, obviously, you might be fine at 3 monsters and need them at 4 or 7 depending on strength.

So, after participating in a few events and a bunch of running through arenas, I've got enough money to buy one of the 1,000 hath perks. Which would be the better purchase: Tokeniser to get more tokens to unlock more monsters to get more stuff, Effluent Ether for the MP, or hold off and save for Daemon Duality and the attack power? Or is there another first hath perk I'm overlooking?
