Just out of curiosity.
In a peerless build, what is the best possible mage set for optimal damage?

At a certain point you'll have a hard time seeing the difference. I think for PFfest:
1. PHOH + 3 Radiant + 2 Charged Cotton
2. PSWD or PTWD + 2 radiants + 2 charged phase + 1 charged cotton
3. PARD or PFRD + 2 radiants + 2 charged phase + 1 charged cotton

PDWD could work also, I guess

Could be, but this is all purely theoretical. First, you'd need a couple of H@H dedicated seedboxes in Asia. Then you'd have to wait for years for the good gear to drop (FOS) or pop up at auction. Then you'd have to compete in bid wars (trophies and gears) with others who are in the H@H toplist.

I have question about 'Monsterbation'.

From the key setting examples,


Bind(KEY_X, HoverAction(Cast('Vital Strike'))); ignore alerts.

I must be dead person when I push key 'I' at low HP ( with alert ).

But this function ceases HoverAction of Attack.


I just want stop HoverAction of Vital Strike and Attack when the alerts are on.

Even if I consistently push key X.

And HoverAction of Attack should be started automatically and immediately when I un-push the key.

Just create as many as you can, make their PL to 25-30 to activate and get some gifts. I started to make only 1 at lv.25x and create more at lv.31x. Don't raise them to PL100 or more because that's a big credit sink...

Monsters only start to appear frequently after they reach at least PL1000, which can bring you more material. Below PL1000, there is little difference.
Also monsters start to bring high grade material beyond PL750.
So for your level investing in crystals is quite meaningless. There is barely any difference between PL25 and PL200. Your income from monsters shall be mainly rare materials and binding of slaughters and destructions, which are barely affected by PL.

I got my first monster above PL 500 without buying a single CP. So, it was no credit sink at all. It is only if you buy CP. And you can get quite a bit crystals without buying even a single CP yourself. All you need is patience. So i would say, when you want to level your monster, concentrade on a single monster. Because everything below PL 500 is just the same, there is no real difference and above 500 the difference cames just from the very low chance to get HG mats as gift. But, it feels good. At least it did for me, when i got my first monster above 100, 200, 300 and so on, i was proud about that. It did not matter, that nothing actually changed. That my income did not increase. All i knew and all i did care about was, that this monster was mine and that i did get it that "big". Because that is what it was for me. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

No, a noob player, like i was once too, has just to be patience and wait for the crystals to pile up. And that will change slowly. Crys I dont cost that much, but can increase it so much, just like reaching PFUDOR for all the time. And after that? You only get stronger and get more stuff and crystals. It all takes some time.

Still, dropping high grades is certainly not enough of a reason to raise a monster's PL. It's only a meager compensation for the huge amount of credits sinked in it.

1h mage works because it has higher t/s. So lower damage, but higher t/s makes it almost same. Up to the point then proper mage has to spend tens of millions on prof/forging and so on, but 1h mage can spend only 1 million for whole set and have only few minutes longer clearspeed. Extremely cheap, extremely easy.

I'm interested too. I know it is basically 1h weapon+shield (so no staff) but played light (i.e. with full cotton armour).

Obviously abilities must be slotted accordingly.

But do you use also spell attacks a lot? Do you have to slot archmage or so for elemental attacks?
Do you have to slot both Heartseeker & Arcane Focus ?

Is it only wack-wack with imperil or it has other mechanics to it ?

Uncle, sorry but I think you got it wrong this time (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) What Scre is tellin imo, is that the wiki has the exact tier, so I can compare it with similar trophies. His 5-6 was simply the suggested price, like WTS for 5k or 6k, not the tier (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)

I can tell you that I started to create my first 3 monsters at lv.200 , and I was worried too. I started just the same because I was lucky and Uncle iirc donated me one crystal pack.

Now I have 11 monsters, the first 3 around PL 150 and all the others around PL 50, and I still have about half the pack he gave me.

If you do enough GrindFest, you can almost self-support 10 monsters with the drops there. You just need to do them at low difficulty and flee early before you have to use potions or other buffs.

Easy, frequent and without consume of other resources, that will keep you afloat.

The other option (only if you have really good equip) is to do Arenas at middle-high difficulty to generate good income, then use part of that income to buy a couple packs from time to time.

One pack is just a bit more then one Precursor Artifact, so it's not hard to get by.

Remeber that you are not stuck with your monsters, if you find you cannot support all of them just stop feeding one of them chow and crystals, while keeping the others. So you reduce their number one at a time until you can support easily those that remain.

The slots will always remain ready to host other monsters, when you'll have more resources later, so it's not a loss anyway (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

You use only spell atack. No whacking, and only because of shield block you can use OFC sometimes. It's fun playstyle, mainly because it shouldn't work but it does. And you build up lots of elemental prof.
