For 1H melee, what's the most optimal shield? Assume SDE Peerless Ruby Force Shield of Protection/Warding? Doesn't seem like it makes a huge difference besides SDE.

For prefix, the lowest mitigation one is preferred. But actually it doesn't matter much.
For suffix, protection is good.

I'm not sure if warding is good for melee, since you kills much slower, but protection is always good for shield.
In ISK tower's high floor, I always silence everything.
I'd say it looks like useless for me. So, warding ≈ nothing for me

Your deprecating proficiency was probably too low. It has to be at least 30 before you can use imperil (and your level has to be at least 130).

No. Terrible ADB roll, no prefix (preferred is Savage), bad suffix (preferred is usually Shadowdancer).

Until? Dude this is the last shield you'll ever need. Changing to any other shield will give you no noticeable benefits. You're there. This is it. Never replace. Never look back. Never.

I mean technically some things might be more optimal but that's nitpicking at that point. Don't intend on replacing it. 10mil GP + 500k credits of forging well spent, thanks H@H.

For the most exp run:

100 → 95 → 90 → 65 → 75 → 70 → 80 → 50 → 55 → 60 → 85 → 45...

Average value per round from my battle stats (High variance):

100(?) → 95 = 90 → 85 → 80 → 65 → 50 → 45 → 55 → 75 → 60 → 70 → 40...

This is a penalty for getting ponies wrong.

Then when I hover over the Smiley: (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) another pop up states:

This is a bonus you get when you stamina is 60 or higher. When it drops below 60, it will disappear. Nothing to do with riddlemaster

in a shield the most important thing is block, with a peerless force shield you have the highest possible.
you also got it with SDE which is the best combination for 1H melee.

prefixes don't really matter and suffixes matter really little.
even if it was of protection, the base mitigation of shields is so low that i wouldn't even think of spending bindings to take it past lvl5 as it won't change much.

if you reach the point where upgrading this shield is your highest priority, just invest in a mage set instead.

Good is somewhat subjective since not everyone plays the same way, but in terms of meta damage ones (power of slaughter, shade of shadowdancer, phase) generally considered the best, weapons kinda the same. Quality wise everything below Legendary is considered temporary and usually not worth trading with other players. You should ask more specifically depending on what style you play (in terms of styles general advice is 1H at least up to 310, then magic)

Elementalist one can be your prof part if you're planning to be a mage.
New mages might need this. But do not expect too much

How much should I spend on a mage set starting off? And which element? Assume Fire or Cold?
