I used Infusion of Divinity. On my IA I use Spirit Shield, Spark of Life and Protection.
During battle I only cast Regen and Heartseeker. I remember someone said that Haste and Shadow Veil could be useful but in late rounds, so I didn't use them now.
Maybe I shouldn't flee and try to continue?

Well, maybe I fled too soon? At one point I used Spirit Draught and Potion when i was hit by strong attack, Spark of Life kicked in and I was left with very little Spirit Bar. But maybe it's what supposed to be?

Shadow veil will definetly help, but slow you down.

the time needed to finish PFfest with 1H takes way too long, I remember someone said once its better to flee once the rounds are getting more difficult and just repeat it again for better income than to finish it.

Iam still lacking the upgrade to try it myself, I usually do only 300~ rounds

Still I think that 400 rounds is way too soon to leave. OK, so I will try Shadow Veil and Protection Scrolls.

well yeah for your character stats its definetly way too early, maybe you just need to get used to it.

Maybe he just forgot to buff himself or put on ability upgrades?
I mean... his stats are very high, i easy cleared that with much lower.

If you haven't heavily forged your shield and your armor, whatever your level you won't survive till the end if you just hover mindlessly.

Shadow Veil and Haste do can help you tanking less attacks, but frankly their side-effects are problematic, especially when you combine both. I did try to use them during PFFEST, but I found wayyy better:

• Use Silence - That's definitely the very best thing to do when playing 1H PFFEST. A silenced monster will only use its basic, weak attack, and keep on crushing itself on your shield. Kill silenced monsters last so that you can refill your HP bar in the end of the round.
• When Silence isn't enough, first use Silence on 3 monsters, then Sleep on 3 other monsters. It further reduces the amount of incoming attacks, but the asleep monsters don't crash themselves on your shield. Kill the "healthy" monsters first, then the asleep ones one after the other (and with only 2-3 blows at most, because they still refill their MP and SP bars while asleep, so they're very likely to shoot their SP attack at you if you wake them up. You might want to Imperil those monsters before attacking them), then finish with the silenced ones.
• The typical round is Silence 2, Sleep 5, Imperil 8, then kill the last 3 mobs, kill those that resisted silence/sleep,
  imperil the asleep ones, kill them, then finish with the silenced ones. No need to imperil the silenced mobs, you need time to refill your HP and your OC bar.
• Because you're making a heavy use of magic, I strongly recommend using Featherweight Shards on your entire set. It will greatly reduce the amount of MP used, and it will also restore the evasion that your Burden negates, which in return increases your survivability.
• And of course, yes use Infusions on your weapon. You should always be using them, whatever the game mode,
  except Random Encounter.

I can guarantee that this tactic is very easy to use (especially if you bind keys to perform the depr casts) and has way better results than just using scrolls or using Haste / Shadow Veil. Heck I get to round 800 with barely any forging at all, stats way lower than yours (especially block and parry).

I did put all the abilities and buff myself. Probably I have to get used to this. Yesterday I tried second time and managed to get past 500 rounds. But I use so many spirit draughts. Is it normal?

To tell you the truth, I did think that with 1H Heavy you could past at least 800 without major problems.

Just asking, but were your equipment allready damaged, when you did start your Fest, or did this at least happend during the fest? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) Because that could explain why you allready was beaten up at round 250.

? doesnt the condition only affect the battle once it reaches 50% ? at least it was so before when i still played

Actually it lights up as soon as the first piece of equip goes below 60% condition, while stats begin to deteriorate below 50%.

So there is a 10% "buffer" you can still use.

Imo that was made so on purpose, because 10% is exactly the condition that you loose when you get defeated (i.d. killed, not running away).

Not necessarily; repairing an item @61% cond costs less then repairing the same item @51% cond.

The repair cost is an inverse function of the condition, it goes up when cond goes down.
The tricky part is that it is not a continous function, but a step function, and the width of the "step interval" depends on equip quality (tier).

So you may pay the same to repair a 61% Exq as a 66% Exq. cond, but a 61% Leg may be more dear then the same Leg at 63% cond.

In both cases, I believe that the main problem is defensive stats, especially physical mitigation. Even my Balance Set, which is the weakest defensively, has 80,3% physical mitigation. Incidentally, it was for this reason that I chose to do Grindfest using the Protection Set, so I would suffer less.

And in the case of Fap.Fap, you need to trade your shield for a good Force Shield.

With 60% of the condition, the exclamation marks appear. I usually repair all equipment as soon as the warning appears. And then I change the Set (I do rotation: Balance -> Protection -> Slaughter -> Balance).

Then it is impossible to finish Pffest with full slaughter without forging defensive stats? So what number PMI should be at? At least 80%? Is it possible without mixing suffixes and without shield of protection?
