hi experts.
i'm a returning player after many years of inactivity and i forgot a lot about the game.
i've read the info on the wiki to get back in track but i'm not sure on what i should focus next.

i'm currently at lvl 342 and swapped to 1H (tried out many things years ago).

i can clear random encounters at PFUDOR but arena is too much.
what should i focus on improving as top priority?

i figured i should finish IW my sword so that i get void strike.
is my equipment worth soulbonding?

I don't think many people use light armor, and those that do would probably try to use entirely savage shade shadow dancer/fleet/negation armor. You might as well shift to heavy armor since your gear isn't even great for a light armor build. I think light armor builds also usually go dual wield rather than one hand. Either way, your gear seems mismatched for either build right now and there's not much worth saving. Power armor and a force shield (With upgraded block) will allow you to survive arenas and isn't too expensive, though your clear times won't be great until you get some slaughter armor. You should have some old trophies worth selling on the market or something.

Edit: It seems your gear might be outdated and have lower rolls than newer gear has as well, unless my item checker is malfunctioning. I checked some auction gear and those work fine, but a lot of your stuff is showing negatives on rolls. I remember at some point gear was updated to have better rolls, seems your stuff might be from before then. The stats on your gear do seem much lower in general than newer gear, so pretty much you need to upgrade pronto to new gear regardless of what you do with your build. Here's a recent auction to compare your old gear with newer gear, it's a pretty massive difference. You might perform better even with magnificent gear right now, that explains why you're struggling. So you know, don't soulfuse any of that gear, lol. That Shocking Rapier of Balance you posted is new gear and the only thing worth using atm, you could IW 10 that until you find a slaughter weapon. On the plus side, somebody might be interested in your old shortsword for collection purposes?, cause those can't get endurance rolls anymore, lol. Upgrading to better gear should be pretty easy/cheap too for you.

Also, make sure you buy like 5 levels of proficiency gain in training. All your proficiencies are really low and should be quite a bit higher than your level.

For comparison since we're almost the same level (Level 355 right now and I have 5 mag without slaughter/2 leg with slaughter. Quite a massive attack difference.):

Sadly I don't have old throphies, I remember using them as I got them.

The buckler should be a recent drop though, with the new stats.

Oh yeah, regular legendary heavy power armor without slaughter often goes onsold on auctions. You could probably get a massive upgrade to all your gear making mostly minimum bets (50k) on the auction. With 3 million you could probably beat my gear since I'm waiting/saving for slaughter gear to upgrade to legendaries. If you don't want to wait for the next auction on Friday, you could hit up WTS shops or make a request on WTB (Though it'll probably be marked up gear or sub par gear that wouldn't/couldn't sell on auction, so I wouldn't recommend it).

1hand heavy build doesn't want attack speed btw, so if you're going that route, try to avoid agi equips. Finding force shields with Str/Dex/End can be a pain. This page on the wiki will give you more insight on the gear to aim for.

Btw, I've started in Isekai two days ago, just to try it and get some credits onto next season, and I was thinking: What is the optimal level for upgrading weapons / soulfusing / IWs?
Drops are boosted there, so I don't know if it is worth to invest resources until lets say level 300 or so? But I don't know what is the recommendation there (if any).

Yeah, that's about right. Unless you somehow manage to get a great Mag/Legendary/Peerless pre 300, upgrading isn't worth it. You might want to IW10 a weapon by around 250 though, even if it's just an Exquisite. It speeds things up so much it's worth the effort.

This season of Isekai is ending in like a week and half too btw. Unless you play it hardcore, you probably won't make floor 30 or get much benefit out of starting now. Not sure what level you are currently though, maybe you have a chance if you don't mind sitting in grindfest a bunch with crappy gear lol. There aren't enough arenas to level too quickly without grindfest early on. After floor 20, you can only clear 1 floor of the tower a day too, meaning you might be incapable of reaching 30 at this point.

Yeah, I won't most likely be able to get to the 30th floor. But I will try to get 1m credit at least (I understand these are transfered to another season independently of the progress in tower).

Edit: Nvm, just saw both my questions were answered on the wiki, derp. I must have glossed over that. Pretty sad copied Isekai monsters don't count towards gifts/wins, especially since lower monsters basically never get kills anymore. Woulda been a nice way to make upgrading them actually have a point again beyond raising gift %.

Kinda wanna get all my monsters to the same level range so they're all chilling together before the new season starts though.

1H is by far the most powerful and easiest style unless you got dozens of millions and become a mage, go with what the wiki says: 1H rapier/shortsword (max crafted parry) + Force shield (max crafted block) + Power armor, even exquisite power armor is better than legendary plate. You may take a "Shielding" plate prefix equipment if you still struggle to survive.

At that level you should already roll on PFUDOR arenas

well, i've underestimated my capabilities with my current equipment, i can actually clear the short arenas on PFUDOR but still it's quite hard.

in any case the game seems to be sending me hints as well, just dropped this:

i will keep training proficiency up to lvl5 and IW my current sword to 10 since i'm almost there, i will use it afterwards to IW the rapier.

I actually changed my mind and will try to finish 30th floor (do I actually need to clear it or just enter?). My current floor is 22nd, so if I beat one floor every day I can get to the 30th on october 31st.

I am currently level 231, and I've started IWBTH Arenas since today. Drops got better, so maybe I have a chance.

I think the stamina will be my main limit though, it is currently at 45 and I will definitely need at least once or twice to IW main weapon.

Vigorous Vitality: High, Significantly decrease your use of heal. No much useful if your gears are all Legendary, upgrade as well and don't play GF. It can decrease your # of heal about 10-15%
Effluent Ether: Medium, Decrease your mana consumptions by 10%. If you only play mage in SG arena, you don't need to worry about mana. This one is 10x BETTER than Innate Keep perk.
Resplendent Regeneration: Trash. Check how it work if you're curious.
Eminent Elementalist: High, Must have as mage. If your prof part is cap/gloves/shoes, buying this perk is more cost-effectiveness than upgrading your prof on your prof part
Evil Enchantress: Medium-High, Significantly increase your chance landing deprecating spell.
Force of Nature: Low-Medium, Slightly increase your healing. Significantly decrease your cast time of "full-cure" (I bought this perk only for this). Slightly decrease your cast time of supportive spells.

Here is my summary, order matters.
As mage, you must have Eminent Elementalist -> Evil Enchantress.
For better hover experience (less key press), VV, FN (but don't recommend)
For lesser mana cost, Effluent Ether.

please, don't do other even if you have too many tokens, only FSM
at some point you will understand your rhythm, then you can do TTT sometimes
but the main goal: daily FSM
spare tokens are good, because not all days are good if you only play arenas

Not sure if this is a HV question or a browser question, but I changed my browser to use 125% zoom by default. Now any time the HV window opens it's about 25% cropped. How would I go about automatically resizing the window?
