Resplendent Regeneration - Increases your in-combat regeneration by 50%. Does this perk applies to all types of resource regen? Health, Mana, Spirit. Base regen, Draughts and Regen (spell). And what does this do? Tokenizer I - Doubles the chance of random mob token drops. Can damage mitigation be negative? For example a Monster has 20% Fire Resist and I Imperil it -40% Fire Resist. Would it be 0% or -20%? QUOTE(Ser6IjVolk @ Sep 16 2024, 19:32) What's the "best" elemental shield? As in what do Dark/Holy mages use, who don't have an elemental magic interaction that decides their choice.

Only base regen. QUOTE(minnazzo @ Sep 19 2024, 12:19) And what does this do? Tokenizer I - Doubles the chance of random mob token drops.
As far as we can tell, it increases the likeliness of chaos tokens being dropped by monsters. QUOTE(minnazzo @ Sep 19 2024, 12:19) Can damage mitigation be negative? For example a Monster has 20% Fire Resist and I Imperil it -40% Fire Resist. Would it be 0% or -20%?
Mitigation can't be taken below 0% by Imperil. (I think day of the week might still be able to bring it to -5% in some circumstances.)

What will happen if I dual wielding two rapiers? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Maybe it will make more damage than rapier + wakizashi ?

Thank you for answering. Does any of the hath perks (Thinking Cap, Daemon Duality, Innate Arcana, Proficiency Boost) work in isekai?

QUOTE(Lampads @ Sep 19 2024, 11:23) The higher EDB of the Divine Mage's armor, is better?
I want to know which of the following two armors is better ① EDB 50%, all other attributes 50% ② EDB 80%, all other attributes 20%
thanks!!!
It's objectively the one with more EDB. You compensate for the lower defensive capabilities by killing faster and taking less damage that way. As for different prefixes: QUOTE(Nezu @ Feb 28 2021, 22:51)
Prefixes
For raw damage, the hierarchy is radiant > mystic > other prefixes. On paper, peerless 'other' prefixes are roughly equivalent to a mystic piece with 65% average rolls, or a radiant with 25% average rolls. Raw damage tends to be the best choice for easy content regardless of element, as long as you can survive it.
The 'charged' prefix increases cast speed, and as such, it is the only defensive prefix for mage. New players should consider this, and charged generally performs better (significantly fewer cures) than radiant in grindfest for imperil players. An endgame imperil player may mix charged/radiants for slightly better performance. However arenas are fairly easily survivable so if you have the budget to forge some equipment, you do not need to rely on cast speed, and can jump to using radiants ASAP.

QUOTE(Nezu @ Sep 15 2024, 08:52) Upgrading block and parry stats on gear is pretty enormous for 1H, and mag power slaughter pieces are viable for floor 50. You can use Silence or Slow as an extra debuff and they'll make some difference. Grinding arenas for some extra levels will help. You haven't mentioned Imperil, so if you're not using that, it's generally a significant increase in speed.
QUOTE(Ser6IjVolk @ Sep 15 2024, 14:33) In addition to Nezu's advice:
Sleep is mana-expensive, but pretty much takes three monsters off the table for later, use it in later rounds (don't forget to invest in the Mind-controll ability that buffs Sleep), also make sure you Silence and/or Weaken the sleeping monsters before they wake up because the will unload all their accumulated MP and SP on you when they do. Also Nezu didn't stress it, but make sure you Imperil ALL monsters, they're ridiculously tanky with the Tower buffs.
Use ALL of the scrolls, even Absorb and all the stuff you already have in Auto-cast because scroll stuff is stronger and doesn't slowly consume mana (but obviously not overlapping ones, that's just a waste, but keep all of the abilities slotted in Auto-cast in case a scroll runs out without you noticing or mid-fight when buffing is dangerous). Use the element of the day or Holy/Dark infusion in battle for the extra elemental resistance.
6-infusion your shield and armor before a run. An extra 30% resistance to all elements (5% from each armor piece + shield) makes a difference. Use an Aether shard for the magic accuracy and 10% mana discount on spells. Use a Voidseeker if you're below 200% accuracy. Infusion your weapon with the element of the day (obviously).
Meanwhile, clear all daily trophy arenas for XP and Credits and invest in your equipment, first in Block and Parry like Nezu said, then into Attack (it's actually semi-defensive in the context of Tower, because it really helps if you kill the monsters before the de-buffs expire), then into physical and magical defense on the armor. At least to 22/50, since mid-grade metal is cheap. Really, it's so affordable that you can also 22 STR/END/DEX too. Don't waste money on accuracy if you're still under 200% at this point, just use Voidseeker shards.
Finally, if you're not going to buy anything new, then you definitely need to consider Soubinding stuff that's really under your level, especially if it's something as important as Shield or Rapier.
QUOTE(eramosat @ Sep 15 2024, 19:30) Thanks to you both, and to Jantch, for the advice. There are always sooo many great ideas when I reach out for advice, that remind me of how simply I have always played this game. Isekai is truly a great place to refresh your ideas about HV.
My next Tower battle went pretty well, a distracted 45 minutes. Still using all Plate gear. I feathered under 70 Burden, still mostly spamming Weaken, and selectively Imperil individual targets, it was a fair bit easier than previous run. No Elixirs used, ~10 minutes faster and never any hairy rounds. Not sure how people use so many deprecating spells effectively i.e. Monster specific. I bound Weaken to 1 2 3 and Imperil to 4 5 6 7 (max 2 targets still, looking forward to level 310)...how people manage to also use Sleep or anything else efficiently is job well done. Only 8 more Floors before the end for me.

Personal tastes: Mouse Wheel Up for Imperial, Mouse Wheel Down for Weaken. I have my Mana Draught and Health Draught both on 3, Spirit Draught on 4 since I don't keep it on all the time. 1 and 2 are Regen and Heartseeker. I manually mouse over and click cures because I don't trust myself not to miss press when I'm near dead, lol. Since I rarely need more than 3 cures even in A Dance with Dragons now, it doesn't really slow me down. This post has been edited by FruitSmoothie: Sep 20 2024, 01:38

I'm just blanket-spamming the typical 1-2-3 Monsterbation keybinds til everything has Imperil on it (or at least most of the enemies, when I'm playing mage). Same for weaken (shift-1-2-3)... I think it's fine to not be overfocused on efficiency, because full coverage won't necessarily mean you're moving faster - depends on which monsters resisted, and their HP. But it's a little cumbersome to calculate that much in real-time, so try to just experiment for comfort. I think you're still relying heavily on tactics to push you further - which is great, by the way - so you should probably bear in mind most people are probably playing more lazily than you, with gear investments etc for comfort.

I've just collected 21 figures to activate the orbital cannon. Is it necessary to unlock a new slot with a mastery points or set up the ability another way? (I can't find the ability in -settings- is it standard?)

It's a skill not ability, and you need to wait about 24 hours to activate, you can find it in settings => Quickbar slots Be careful that you need to keep the figures to keep the skill you can't sell them, i tried. →_→ This post has been edited by Aman thull: Sep 20 2024, 09:46

Since proficiency gain is tied to XP gain, does it mean that XP bonus skills and perks don't become useless, but rather effectively act in a similar way to Assimilator at level 500? QUOTE(ppp4321 @ Sep 19 2024, 18:45) What will happen if I dual wielding two rapiers? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Maybe it will make more damage than rapier + wakizashi ? No. Your attack will be higher, but your parry will drop, which means less counter attacks and more damage taken. Which means less damage output and more time wasted healing. There's a reason Rapier of Slaughter in main hand and Wakizashi of the Nimble in off-hand is the DW default. Although maybe there are some other META builds I'm not familiar with. I haven't played DW in a decade, so I MIGHT be wrong, but it's an educated guess. Also don't spam the same question. At the very least wait for the thread page to turn. rapier + waki is good, but if you have decent gear: club of slaughter + rapier of balance offhand is faster.

Huh, that's an odd combination. Is the Club's stun proc instrumental in some sort of strategy? The Rapier of Balance for off-hand is to maximize off-hand strike chance, I guess?

Yes. QUOTE(Ser6IjVolk @ Sep 20 2024, 09:56) No. Your attack will be higher, but your parry will drop, which means less counter attacks and more damage taken. It's not the default - rapier + wakizashi is a very defensive combo that is usually somewhat slow & I only use it in early isekai if I'm desperate. Otherwise, club of slaughter in the main-hand and rapier of balance in the off-hand is the clear winner in terms of damage and speed: stunned monsters can't parry, and we can still get PA stacks from the off-hand strikes. (And yes the Balance suffix is chosen specifically to maximize off-hand strike chance.) This post has been edited by Nezu: Sep 20 2024, 18:35

Any help, I haven't played 2H much before and wanted something that clears a bit faster than 1H. I have a Peerless Ethereal Longsword of Slaughter and full Exquisite Shade armor, combination of Fleet and Negation. IWBTH is barely survivable, let alone PFUDOR.

Problem is 2h doesn't have enough defense and lacks the perma-spirit trick of 1h. And the stun. And the overwhelming strike. And the counter-parry. And the penetrated armor. For most players 2h is not faster than 1h. In theory your weapon is the strongest in the game, but in practice.... well you've experienced it already. What is a bit faster then? Dual Wield for instance. But if it is speed you seek, then there is but one way.... The way of the mage. When I was low level, I played cold mage with a LARD - pretty good clear times. And now I'm playing dark mage. With a peerless staff and peerless shoes. Now that's fast.

I unfortunately am not lv310, so I can't spam Imperil, is mage still feasible? I do have an Exquisite Demonic Katalox Staff of Destruction, but not any other mage gear really, besides some random Phase armor I've picked up that isn't the right element and has no prefixes. Also, FWIW, I do still clear waves fairly fast with 2H, faster than 1H, but the issue is just survivability. This post has been edited by Here Come Dat Boi: Sep 21 2024, 23:19

Regarding debuffs, what are feasible ones in order of effectiveness? I know that for 1H Heavy: Imperil, Silence, Weaken, Sleep... and for Mage: Imperil, Weaken, Silence... but what goes after those? I do not think mage is feasible at your level (244), certainly not Dark mage and not on any of the higher difficulties, so it wouldn't fix your issue of not surviving PFUDOR. If you want to stick to 2H and use your Peerless (and I guess you do solely based on how much credits you've sunk into forging it), I would advise to lower your difficulty to a comfortable to survive level for now and grind Arena for trophies (don't forget that DwD+ is perma-PFUDOR regardless of settings when you reach level 300, lol) to save credits for better Shade gear on the WTS or Super's Auction. Maybe also forge your evade for now, since leather is cheap as dirt, Shade Fragments are affordable, and Fleet bindings aren't too expensive. Your other option is to go 1H and save the Peerless as a toy you'll be able to use in the distant future when you'll have the credits for full Lego Shadowdancer Shade.
