QUOTE(yodaz @ Sep 2 2024, 15:31) I've upgraded stronger spirit but the text when I hover spirit shield is still showing 50%. I'm pretty sure I've slotted stronger spirit correctly. Is the text bugged or am I missing something?
in-game text may well be outdated or bugged. Wiki is your best chance to find the correct description of effect of spirit abilities and spirit shield.

Not exactly a bug so much as a longstanding oversight but yeah abilities tooltips in-game always show their base effects, not their upgraded effects. This post has been edited by Nezu: Sep 3 2024, 06:38

A question on shrining trophies in late/end game. I assume that most players are fishing for an ultimate staff by then, and those who have one are picking cloth, because that both has a bigger chance of being sellable and can at least be salvaged for HGC? What about peerless tickets? You can't sell whatever drops from that, after all.

after one gets the Peerless Staff they want, they usually go for peerless phases to match the staff. But in practice, playing FOS willl give you a lot of semi-finished peerless mage sets and not the one that you desire.... i don't have FOS in persistent, but even with only the isekai FOS I know the pain a little bit.

Ah yes, and once you get peerless phase and cotton you desire, you start on improving them to peerless radiant phase and peerless charged cotton, I suppose. But seriously, there should be some sort of mercy protection included that only allows Snowflake to give you a peerless that you don't already have a soulbound copy of.

that would be nice but sadly that is not gonna happen. Maybe there will be an update in the far far future and then we can upgrade any legendary into a peerless... that would be wonderful. For a short while. Then everyone has peerless, and pple want Peerless+

I don't think my idea is anywhere near as disruptive. Just think about it, if you wanted a specific pair of shoes, for example, you could go through dozens of variations before you get them, going through all of the prefixes and suffixes combinations. It would just turn "potentially never" into "eventually".

First time trying to send gear to Superlatanium's auction...so I just moogle mail them the equip with no CoD or anything? Seems a bit janky, just wanna make sure there aren't some special rules I don't know about other than only sending one item at a time. Hope they add an ingame auction some day like they finally added the market, lol.

put 'for auction' in the message subject. Sending in single MM is okay, but better to send separate if you're sending stuff that may be rejected for being crap.

Thanks. Yeah, I already got the items price checked and I found they match the estimated requirements for the usual stuff that sells at auction, so at least they have a chance of selling. I have a better idea of what could sell now too, so less holding on to gear pointlessly. 300+ is in that awkward zone where people are expecting pretty decent gear, gets harder and harder to sell stuff eh? Probably more profitable for a while to stay lower level when people are still just trying to get their basic gear down. Added question to whoever: Which one of these helms would you use? They trade off on various things so I can't decide. https://hentaiverse.org/equip/215361525/00489949dbhttps://hentaiverse.org/equip/239272934/3a2580fe93This post has been edited by FruitSmoothie: Sep 4 2024, 20:46

You presumably need credits for better gear and good gear tends to be high level. So not only would you be stuck in bad gear with terrible clear times, but also out of range of all the good affordable gear because all the good low level stuff tends to be much more expensive because it's rarer. Regarding the helmets, if you have to pick, just choose the one with the higher base attack, but both of them are kinda crap options considering your level gap. You should aim to soulbind Magnificent of Slaughter or Legendary Power Armor at your level. Legendary of Protection could be reasonably affordable depending on the attack roll, Balance and especially Warding are extremely affordable, they often go for 50k or unsold on Super's auction.

I've played fire mage for a really long time. I've dropped a peerless charged phase shoes of freyr a while back, and I have a decent cap that's a little better than my fire one currently. So I am going to build a wind mage, because why not. However, is it at all worth it to try and build that while keeping my current fire mage? Once I've got the equips with rolls I want, they're all item worlded..., should I keep the fire mage for some reason? My understanding is that day of the week does nothing for imperil elemental mages, so I don't think it's even worth keeping for a particular day? Is there anything that will come to bite me in the ass if I decide to just salvage my current gear to upgrade to wind mage?

i'd say no, there is no reason why you should keep your fire mage set. Unless it's so great you want to keep it for bragging purposes. Of course you would need your fire set to IW at least your new wind staff. Elementalist gear you can re-use, and then I'd salvage the surtr phases. Wind is similar to fire, but a bit better because the willow staff works better with wind.

No, the day of the week can still help for imperil elemental mages. I'd say getting multiple sets isn't worth it just to take advantage of the day of the week. Get multiple sets because you want to collect them for collecting's sake.

Can you speak more to this? My understanding was that imperil reduces mobs to 0 mitigation, and that day of the week doesn't make it go further. Something along those lines? I forget where I read that. What does DotW actually do for me in this case?

the day of week can reduce the mitigation under 0, but the imperil can't. check and uncheck the "Day of the Week" box in HVUT Equipment page will show that, as the result, it should make nothing different if you play elemental mage and already have 75%+ Mitigation Reduction, but it helps alot with dark/holy no matter how high or low mitigation you have

Has there been news lately about Riddlemaster issues?
The last few days I've had a constant issue with not being able to submit an answer to Riddlemaster.
When Riddlemaster comes up I can still check boxes and timer countdown works, but the 'submit' button is greyed out like it is when no check boxes have been selected. Refreshing the page sometimes fixes the issue, but other times it resumes into the next round.
This is constant and occurs in both isekai and persistent. In Isekai it is having a noticeable impact on stamina drain.
Any advice on how I can go about debugging this?

I didn't notice the bug either on PC or mobile phone. Although I have to say the riddlemaster is kinda buffed against color-blind players. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif)

Problem/fix discussed here. Do not refresh the page to submit, as mentioned here.

So a mage can't naturally use anything that requires overcharge, since the play style simply doesn't collect any, unless they go out of their way to whack monsters with their staff? Making the already underwhelming staff ability useless aside, doesn't that make the Manehattan Project hath perk useless since the OFC needs overcharge? Since a new player would never be able to afford it and a lategame player would be playing mage? Am I missing something?
