Ended up buying a 400+ level legendary I found on the bazaar a bit after my post . After I saw the responses I realize that was a waste and ended up salvaging it . Could sell it back for ~4.5k C but considering it was a high level legendary item I thought I could get better value from salvaging it, which I did since it gave me a high grade leather and a legendary armor core . Was I lucky or is bazaaring items like those instead of salvaging them generally worse ?

It's better to install HVU to see which is better.
Every gear is different. Some are better to sell, and some are better to salvage.
I can't tell a general answer

Is there any point to doing item world on armors or shields? seems like the elemental mitigation potencies are just bad in comparison to the stuff for weapons

I'm currently using dual weilding and found that the damage is quite good along with and AoE skill. I'm at level 198. Should I change to other weapons?

Also can someone explain what Persona is? What is it for?

Armor potencies give you more defense. It doesn't give you much advantage as an IWed 10 weapon (about 2x damage).
Many players don't do any IW for armor as melee (they will do this when they're at the end game),
only do J5 for armor as mage

If you find it comfortable, you can keep playing with this style.
When you find it hard to survive, 1H heavy is the general, most recommended, cheapest, style in this case.

Persona: a brand new character with the same experience gained. You can redistribute the attributes and abilities.
You can quickly switch your style with Persona

Hi guys, I finished A Dance with Dragons over two days ago but I still haven't gotten the Dovahkiin title, when will I be able to cast Fus Ro Dah?

Edit; nevermind, just had to select the title in settings

You have to manually update your title, it's in the Hentaiverse settings just below the difficulty setting. You must have the title set to be able to cast FRD.

What is the fastest way to get better quality equipment? Sell trophy and buy a higher grade trophy like the Noodly Appendage?

Trophies are usually not a great way of getting equipment. For people your level, the best way is searching the WTS for free low level equipment and the rental shop. You can sell all trophies for profit.

Installed HVU and I like some of the changes but will also need some time to get used to some others .

When I'm in the equipment shop I can see the sale price of my items and a salvage price .I wonder if it'd be possible to also see salvage prices for the items the shop currently has for sale or maybe even for all items when mouseovering 'em or when viewing items from links .

In terms of gameplay, the game has been getting quite a bit harder lately as I've been leveling up more . I would love some advice on making a build that can hopefully do stuff on higher difficulties . I can clear the per 30 minutes fight on Nintendo right now but arenas and other fights are too tough for me so I lower difficulty .

Read through advice wiki page at some point but for some reason I've been doing 1H/Light on persistent so I wanna switch to a blank persona and prolly make 1H/Heavy. All advice about primary attribute allocation and abilities welcome .

Level 125
133 ability pts
13 mastery pts

Also somewhat recently started Isekai and doing 1H/Heavy there but can't say I'm having a lot of success on higher difficulties .

My isekai equips
Superior Shortsword of Swiftness
Superior Buckler of the Barrier
Average Plate Helmet of Dampening
Superior Plate Cuirass of Protection
Superior Plate Gauntlets of Dampening
Average Plate Greaves of Dampening
Superior Plate Sabatons of Dampening

Attributes and abilities
[attachembed=177854]

Sitting on ability and mastery pts till I have a better of understanding of this build .

Thanks for any help !

skip

1. If the shop has equipment that has a higher salvage price than the buy price, it will be displayed and bold.
Otherwise, you can only see the buy price. If you don't see a salvage price, then it's not worth buying for salvaging.

2. 1H heavy is the cheapest to challenge high difficulties. You can easily rent some from here
Rapier is the best. Prefixed, IWed 10 (any potencies if it's not your final weapon)
Force shield->reinforced kite shield, no buckle
Shielding plate for defense, power for the offense. If you have enough defense, go offense.
Actually, shade provides better survivability but it takes a ton of time to clear for low-level players.

3.
Use sleep/silence/weaken if you can't survive.
Reset sleep once you can survive easily.
Sleep is very strong in the early game but useless once you can easily survive.
Many abilities are important, just have some different levels of importance.
In case of insufficient ability points, here is my solution.
MP/SP tank doesn't affect draught and potion. So you can only level up 2-3 times
Heavy HP is only half of HP tank at low-level. If you can survive, you can only invest 2-3 level
Enable shadow veil and haste in upkeep if you find it hard to survive.
For the rest, you need to level up all abilities listed in the "Ability calculator" -> "One-handed"

Also, don't forget to get free potions from my free supply and other supply links (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
With my potion supply, you already can spam HP/MP draught all the time until 250.
No need to say there are many other kind players providing help.

Have you installed Monsterbation yet? It makes your sessions way faster.

Remember to unlock the Blue slot next to the Reset All button, for a while I was really struggling to understand where the fuck does the Spike Shield abilities from Supportive 2 goes (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)

Contrary to l13763824039, I actually found more success in not getting any evade and just focus on getting high block.
For training you should train EXP Bonus to ~200 then Ability Points to ~80 first.

Rapiers aren't necessarily the best, mine doesn't proc Armor Pen that often compared to the Shortsword's Bleed. Use Imperil all the time, it helps build your deteriorating proficiency too.

While below Lv.300 I find that the Balance suffix is just as useful as Slaughter so look out for those two when scouting for weapons.

Shield with the highest block chance currently is the best regardless of it being Force, Kite or Buckler (Kite is kinda shit cause it reduces your crit chance more but if you can find one with Mithril prefix then it's on par with the others).

QUOTE(KitsuneAbby @ May 28 2024, 01:53) *

For maximum defense, ideally Shielding Plate, Force Shield, Wakizashi of the Nimble.
Personally, I'd rather recommend either a Shortsword of Balance or a Wakizashi of Balance so that it helps hitting the 200% Attack Accuracy, which is a drastic enhancement when it comes to just kill stuff. I'm also more inclined to use a (Mithril/Reinforced) Kite Shield as it provides a very decent defense along with an acceptable Interference when you don't use feathers.

But all in all, there is no "ideal" build. It's up to you if you want to go for raw power at the cost of healing like mad and forging more, or if you want to play it safer and slower. For my part, I'd say that using a "clever" build that makes use of cheaper, less sought after (but not bad) equipment yet still reaching a good efficiency is the way to go. Last season I went for a full Shielding Plate set along with a Shortsword of Balance, it did an amazing job even though it was clearly lacking ADB compared to more brutal approaches. This season I'm going 1H Light with Arcanist for comfortable use of Depr pells and general very low Interference.

Going for the kill quick with Power of SLaughter might work, but remember: more focus on raw firepower means lower defense, and if it's too low you might spend more time healing and spending consumables than actually battling.

Is the extra attack accuracy from Balance really that important compared to the ADB from Slaughter or the extra parry from Nimble?
Also, I read that light armor + 1H was bad because you get fewer counterattacks. With this drawback, is 1H light still better than 2H Light or DW light?

monster can parry and evade just like you
hit chance at 200% negates all the monster evade
counter parry counters...parry (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Balance is great if you're below 200% accuracy! (although you can also reach it using voidseeker shards & a little forging, so not all is lost if you can't find any power of balance)

1H light is slower than other styles, but it's safer than anything else.

It reduces the chance an enemy will parry your attacks.

Is there some sort of game-mechanical difference regarding potency rolls in raising it one level at a time vs jumping over levels? For weapons specifically maybe?

Speaking of potencies, it was agreed some years ago that counter-parry is just massively inferior to crit damage and attack damabe, while attack speed is straight-up useless for Heavy 1H, is that still the consensus? I don't think attack speed could have made a comeback unless the new stat distribution for 1H heavy favors agility or something, but is counter-parry still just objectively worse that the direct damage potencies?

Regarding clear time, 1H light is terrible at a low level.
Because you're fast. enemy attack #/you attack # will be lower. Thus counter attack/your attack is lower.
According to my test, my total turn is increased by 30% to 50% using different combinations of Magnificent shade (compared to power).
The difference is getting closer as you level up(forge may matter, too. I don't have c to forge on shade)
Another reason why 1H heavy > 1H light is that extra survivability doesn't make sense if you can survive with either.

Got couple questions
1. I can see Crystal Pack under Market->Monster Items. But both the market stock and your stock are empty.
Is it only me or is it supposed to be like this?
2. If a monster is stunned, can it still evade/block/counter-attack/parry/resist?
