should stun. My guess? Your monsterbation messes with the casting of FRD - for instance you click a monster to cast it and then MB does attack instead.

If you cast it while they're still stunned, it won't refresh the stun - you need to wait until it expires.

If that's not the answer, then like Noni says, it sounds like either you're not actually casting FRD, or something else is happening which we can work out from your battle logs when you see this happening.

Oh my god turns out it was because I used it when the stun effect is 0 so after I use FRD, the stun expired making it look like they weren't stunned. I was playing on auto pilot so I didn't notice (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif). Shield Bash also doesn't refgreshs the stun right?

That's right - stuns can't be extended unlike other debuffs & when they expire, monsters are guaranteed to attack you.

Can someone remind me how block and parry interact? Do they share the same max proc per turn limit? The thing is, Snowflake just gave me a Lego Ethereal Axe of Slaughter in Isekai and I'm tempted to main it for my Heavy 1H build, especially because a Lego shield dropped some time ago and I'm not having too much trouble surviving. Basically, how dumb exactly is the idea of Axe instead of Rapier for Heavy 1H? Will a 20-something% drop in Parry tank my clear time despite all the extra damage? Should I settle for this or continue to fish for a 3stat Magnificent+ X-ed Rapier of Slaughter at the Shrine?

dunno about block and parry interaction, but axe is the worst 1h weapon in game, go for mag rapier/shortsword

There is no interaction between Block and Parry whatsoever. You only get a maximum amount of counterattacks per turn, simple. It doesn't matter if the counterattack comes from blocking or parrying. But even then, you should consider the following: an axe will leave you with much less defense than every other 1H weapon, and the tiny bit of extra ADB might not be worth it.

Rapier is always a good weapon in 1H build.
I don't think parry is the problem.
If you read wiki, you'll find that there's a Equipment Proc called Penetrated when using Rapier. This Proc is why using Rapier could save lots of time.
If you use Axe, although it seems like that your basic physical attack is high, you no longer get benefit from Penetrated, which slows down your speed in clearing arena.

Yes, thank you, that's what I was thinking about, but I forgot the specifics. Them sharing a counter max is an interaction, in my opinion, at least. So lower parry doesn't as much slow your clear, provided a very good block chance, as it tanks your survivability.

I mean, I know that Axes are overall inferior, I was asking specifically for Isekai, where getting a good set of equipment is much harder due to trading limitations and a smaller second-hand market on top of that. That's why I was comparing it to a (probably only) Magnificent Rapier with (possibly) meh stats. But apparently the consensus is that it sucks even compared to that, so I'll continue fishing. Thank you.

Okay, new question that has me genuinely confused. Is imperil not a spell in isekai? wiki says it unlocks at 130 but... I don't have it yet at 160?

Accounts will enter a 24-hour security lockdown under certain conditions, including changing passwords.
