Yeah, the stun means you can't counterattack, so it greatly reduces your damage output. Although FRD can be useful for the damage if you can time it right so that every enemy dies to it and the stun doesn't come into play. This is not very practical until you have tons of damage.

my stamina text just turned red, but hovering over doesnt say anything. the wiki says that if it is red, its because of the riddlemaster penalty, but that it should say i have a penalty from hovering over. is this a bug or is something else causing it?

It is when you're struggling to survive and need to have a break from overpowered attacks.

It's not a bug, it causes you to lose stamina at a faster rate. Just answer with more precision you'll get rid of it.

What is counter-parry? Does it reduce the chance of monsters parrying?

Experience gain affects proficiency gain, so it is still useful. It would be useless after reaching full 600 prof on everything, which is a major achievement. Proficiency matters a lot when playing as a mage, which you probably will consider doing at some point after level 310.

1. Should I salvage rare gear or sell it? 2. I feel Isekai has a lower chance of better drops (Compared to my Persistent's experience, same difficulty). Am I wrong or I'm just unlucky? lvl 257 but gained only 1 L drop. 3. Isekai's arena's monsters are weaker. Is it right? 4. Am I above the average or below? (persistent) Rounds | time Persistent PFUDOR Victory 80 21:32.37 Persistent PFUDOR Victory 85 26:50.83 In Chinese Tieba, I see someone say 10+ mins while somebody says 4-6 hours to clean 85 round arena. And almost nobody talks about the time here. 5. Which is better? [294319985] Exquisite Ethereal Rapier of Slaughter (Level Soulbound, forged 5)[294694508] Legendary Tempestuous Katana of Slaughter (Level 283, ADB 10%)6. What is the difference between 1H mage and 2H? How do you make decisions? This post has been edited by l13763824039: Mar 9 2024, 05:30

What is the difference between 1H mage and 2H? How do you make decisions? 1: depends on material values, use HVUtils to calculate 2: same chance, just luck - but you do tend to level faster early in isekai due to tower exp boosts 3: the red background bosses are nerfed in arenas 4: real-time is not great as a measurement for comparison - you must account for latency, distraction, reflexes - it is easier to compare your turns to other players (and Monsterbation provides a good read-out at the end of a battle which shows how many times you used each action) 5: incomparable, one is 1H, one is 2H 6: 1H mage uses a wakizashi & shield to gain access to counter-attacks, it is much safer than staff mage but does much less damage, there are not really any major differences in gameplay decision-making This post has been edited by Nezu: Mar 9 2024, 05:38

Thanks. 4: I trade less real-time with more turns. It might also be incomparable with only turns 5: I'm blind.......... 6: Does second-hand staff's PA give full attribute or only half?

I'm not sure what you mean by second-hand staff PAs?

I was assuming 2H mage uses two staff. HV wiki says that off-hand weapons only dealt half damage. So, I wonder whether the primary attribute & spell damage & proficiency of the off-hand weapon provided are also halved or not.

only 1H weapons allowed to dual wielding, you cannot equip weapon in off-hand with staff or 2H weapon in main-hand. In DW mage case, the PAs and edbs do full added, but the 1H weapon does not provide profs I think. ============================================ a meaningless question maybe, is there any detail research about monster plvl vs. available chaos unlocks, the wiki only said (every 5 PL unlocks another rank of at least 1 upgrade), do we have a detail charts about that ============================================ This post has been edited by what_is_name: Mar 9 2024, 10:28
