It feels like a waste to do arenas at the highest level on normal. But if I raise the difficulty too high, I won't be able to complete it. Is there some trick I'm missing? Is my progression alright? Ps: Just noticing as I added the screenshot, I can't do earlier challenges? Will only 14 challenges around my level show up? Can't go back to challenge 1 or 2? I had those clear on PFUDOR and IWBTH. At Lvl500, the lowest arena available is the first arena that has a boss in the end.

If you play 1h or DW (and you should) then the trick for higher difficulty (Nintendo or IWBTH on all arena's) is: - weaken all monsters - cast sleep 1x at start of round and then forge your defensive stats on your gear: parry, block, end, dex for 1h: block of shield is most important, forge that as much as you can. Get a force shield, if you're lucky to get a magnificent force shield then forge the shit out of it. But exquisite is nice as well. Or use any shield with high block. for DW: parry and evade are most important, and the use of Frenzied Blows at start of every round.

0 cd weaken is only arrival after lv.250, in lv.150 the weaken only affect 1 target and have 2 turns cd, that's pretty low efficient. the slow do affected 3 target in this level but still not very useful due to the cd and mana and even the abilities point limit. in my experience the debuffs is not that helpful in low level. and forge is also not that efficient in my view, since they will soon out behind you level, finding new equipment or learn to make good use of skill is better idea This post has been edited by what_is_name: Jan 17 2024, 02:39

Isekai tower is extremely painful to do so far as 1H, is level ~308 high enough to reach floor 50 or should I try and grind some more? For reference floors 40 and 41 took me about an hour each.
Not sure if it's even worth it but if the clear times are similar doing like 8 floors at an hour each within a few months seems feasible.

Is there any reason to salvage gear, except perhaps if you're looking for high-grade cloth (I'm not.)?
I know the Wiki says "it is always more economical to salvage for scrap rather than sell equipment in order to buy the same amount of scrap" but that doesn't apply at all when factoring in the Market. As an example, an item that sells for 600 CR gives you one mid-grade leather, but you can buy them for 16 CR. Same applies to most material.
Is there something like a random small chance of getting something else than just the material or some other mechanic like that, or is salvaging as pointless as it seems?

It used to be true, but yeah everything that isn't Mag+ clothes or Legendary (for the cores) is better off sold rather than salvaged.

It says 'scrap', so that advice only applies to Average, Crude, and Fair quality gears (maybe not Average since we have the Market now). Other than that, salvage is mostly used to retrieve some bindings or to get the most value out of unwanted Magnificent and Legendary cloth and phase armors. Getting to a point where I can't find equipment comparable to my level with good stats. Still using some level 100-125 superior and exquisite items for my class (heavy 1h). Should I consider soul fusing? Or save up soul fragments for other kinds of gear later on?
Any tips at my level, I can take advantage of to increase my stats? Haven't used forge at all, besides some repairs.

No, don't soulfuse, unless you're really swimming in soul fragments. It may be a good idea to Forge 5 your equipment (except phase or power, their rare material is too expensive): it's cheap and will give a significant boost to the stats.

I've cleared floor 50 in the past with one hand and lvl about 340ish. It can be done and you still have time. The only annoying thing is that the tower eats up your potions and droughts. So I would recommend to do arenas to replenish your stock and then hit the tower.

Questions about equipment upgrades/forge.
Does it matter to item world or upgrade first?
Are there upgrades I should prioritize first?
~~Do enchantments stack?~~ (I found out, yes they do)
~~
Using trophies and artifacts. Should I wait till I'm a higher level? Any tips?
I've been generously given a few unicorn horns, what should I use them on? Or should I wait till my level is higher? (Thank you, Jantch)

item world at your level: only weapon, and only for the IW10. So you may as well forge a little bit first, you won't reforge anyway so the PXP is useful. upgrades: block on shield. Always first block on shield. Then ADB and parry on weapon. Don't forget block on shield, and after that do a bit of PABS. Trophies - sell them in market. Never use them. Unless some rich player gives you unicorn horns - you could gamble with those to get a decent shield. Don't wait, level 180 equipment has a good chance of being useful or sellable.

I have the following questions about mage; I finally have a set of fire mage gear (w00t!)
- What's the preferred attack loop for fire mage? Imperil everything and then use highest tier mage attack available, repeat until dead? - Do schoolgirls have a different loop? Do I just make sure schoolgirls are imperiled and the regular mobs will die otherwise from AoE?
Thanks y'all!

you can't play mage without monsterbation so this is the setup: CODE hoverAction: "Strongest([Cast('Flames of Loki'), Cast('Inferno'), Cast('Fiery Blast')])", hoverShiftAction: "Strongest([ToggleHover, Cast('Imperil')])",
startRoundWithHover: false,
Bind(KEY_X, Any, ToggleHover);
use monsterbation linter to check for typos, of course. imperil everything by pointing mouse and pressing shift+x then press x to start hover mage attack For schoolgirls, you can get away with leaving some non-SG without imperil. But that will force you to heal more.

QUOTE(Noni @ Jan 20 2024, 06:50) imperil everything by pointing mouse and pressing shift+x I prefer assigning Imperil 2, Imperil 5 and Imperil 8 to 3 of my numpad keys personally. And Imperil 3 and Imperil 7 for the rounds of 4/7 monsters. With habit it's very, very fast.

I found a nice exquisite staff. Been playing 1h the entire time. Are mages any better? Should I transition? Or will 1h be relevant just as much through endgame? If not when should I switch to mage?

Mage is very weak until late game. Forget about it, unless you really want to clear arenas at a very low difficulty for quick money.

For farming credits by selling trophies, Fliying spaghetti monster aka FSM, then Konata. If you manage to get more then 6 tokens per day, then the others.
