I'm pretty sure I'm a awful at this game despite my level, if I try to play it I can't get anywhere at this point because its too hard, could someone give me some pointers?

Maybe you should share more about your info:

• Your fighting style
• The difficulty level
• The specific fight (e.g. IW, FG, arena, RE)
• Your build (equips, abilities, attributes)
• Your fighting strategy (what you usually do during the fight)
• Why you think you are awful

If you want some generic suggestions, I'm around the similar level and I have a 1H Heavy build (for RE and hard battles at PFUDOR) and a elec mage build (for arenas at IWBTH).
Similarly, I think you should first have a similar solid build to be able to clear those significant battles, especially RE at PFUDOR difficulty, ideally also the arenas, and then you can start building up your mages (much faster than melees when fighting multiple enemies) or other builds you are interested.

I'd like to ask if there's a significant difference between pfudor and iwbth credits/trophies. Takes me +1 clear the school girls and is not like the game suddenly is going to drop me a peerless. Just tell me 'no' to change yesterday.

IWBTH is quite good. But also not much faster... Peerless drop chance is almost the same, no need to do PFUDOR for that. Trophies drop at exactly the same rate. But you probably know that DWD is locked at PFUDOR, no matter what setting you use...

Drop chance on IWBTH: 1 in 200,000

Peerless drop chance on Nintendo seems to be decent, too. What are the drop chances for Legendary on these difficulties?

At least the few legendaries that you drop have a fair chance to have some value. EVen some of the Mags that you drop may still be sold. You're still far from the absolute nightmare of Lvl500 where next to nothing is worth more than bazaar/salvage value, Peerless included.

I bought a 500 lvl item today because it was amgnificent power armor and I thought, someday I might need that. But after sale all the red, above level superior items gone, only average items left. Is there a rarity stocking system or something? Im lvl 142 btw

You can't use equipment which level is above yours. At best you can soulfuse things that are 100 levels above you, but even that is usually not a good idea, unless you're reall swimming in soul fragments.
A Lvl500 Magnificent Power armor is completely worthless. You've found it in the bazaar for a good reason. Every Lvl500 player sends to the bazaar the Magnificent that they drop without even looking at those.

I am telling you that magnificent is bad for Lvl500. Don't buy those beforehand, you're wasting your credits.

Level 500 is a long way ahead, you'll have plenty of chances to get a Magnificent (or better) on your way there. Especially when you hit level 300 and can start clearing one of the PFUDOR arenas, that's one Magnificent per day.

Is there a way to see an upgraded item's stats as they would be without upgrades and enhancements?

If not, what is a good way to compare an upgraded item to an unupgraded item to determine if the latter would be better once upgraded?

You'll get a lot of drops along the way on the road to 500. At lvl 300 when you unlock the Dance With Dragons arena you get a guaranteed Mag drop from clearing it each day. It may seem like they're super rare right now but once you get DwD they lose a lot of luster.

2) I am struggling to do the random encounters on Nintendo. I am able to finish, but I burn potions, elixirs and scrolls - more than I get back in rewards. I run the arenas starting at Nintendo for First Blood and dropping down to Normal by Growing Storm. Any advice/suggestions to at least let me do Random Encounters on Nintendo without struggling?

It looks like you've been changing playing styles quite a bit. Do you currently have abilities for Two Handed and Light Armor slotted?
Are you using your Innate Arcana slots?
Forging you weapon and armor to 5 could help, you get 90% of the materials back when you salvage the equipment. At least try it with damage and physical mitigation, maybe evade.
If you're going to be playing a lot in an hour, you could use featherweight and voidseeker shards on the weapon.

No need to push too hard, in lv.100 everyone should struggling in high difficulty.

And 2H is naturally weak on RE, even if you can clear arena in PFUDOR you could still fail in PFUDOR RE.
But well there are some tips.
You should get 100+ 2H proficiency soon, after that you will unlock the Shatter Strike skill.
The proper way to play 2H in arena is:
1. collect 100+ overcharge (4 points) before a round end, just normal attack, and don't open the SS mode. It should be possible in the first round of arena.
2. after the next round begin, just use the Rending Blow skill, and then the Shatter Strike on same target, you will get 5 Stunned and Penetrated Armor monsters, they're pretty easy to kill and you will charge your overcharge again
3. repeat 1 and 2, if too many monsters wakeup before you kill them and you use a estoc as the weapon, and you can make sure you have 150+ overcharge before the round end, then you can use the Shatter Strike on the Penetrated Armor monster to stunned them again, that will make the battle easier.

it's pretty hard to play the same way RE in same difficulty, as usually the RE have more monsters than the begin of arena, and you don't have the next round. but if you insisted to, just use the debuffs, as more as possible, that need some more abilities

yes, use the HV Utils, it can help you do bunch upgrade and will show the stats change before the upgrade

I started mage (before reading this thread), then switched to 1H/Light - because I didn't have the heavy. As soon as I got a Longsword, I switched. I plan on staying 2H/Light for now.

Thank you for that reminder, I still had 1H slotted. That's been fixed.

I have Protect, Haste and Shadow Veil in my Innate slots.
