What are the best "long-term investments" that pay out credits in the long run? I have some credits rn but no bounties I want or need to invest in the short term; so I thought I might as well spend those credits in something that would pay it back and then some later.

Someone told me that Dual wield with shade can do pretty fast speeds for melee so I was wondering if anyone had any relevant Legendary equipment they'd like to sell me that would fit that playstyle, and any advice on how to stat that playstyle.

I don't think I've ever intentionally used scrolls in my entire time playing HV. I've only ever died due to negligence more than anything so I'm not sure if I really "need" them but what scrolls do you recommend and when should I use them? I pretty much just play arenas when I have time if that makes any difference on usage.

Also thanks for the advice and example on the stats, helped me actually understand more of why the points are distributed that way.

Basically, use either a set of scrolls that lst 100 turns (there's 4 of them), or a set of 2 scrolls that last 200 turns (there are 2 of them). You will notice a considerable increase in survivability compared to relying on your innate arcana slots, since scrolls are fairly more powerful. For non-SG arenas, one set of scrolls is enough. SG arenas however, the first two ones are very fairly doable without any scrolls, the 3 last ones you wil probably need a lot of them. With experience you will know how many turns (roughly) your scrolls last.
For example, for my part I know that a set of scrolls of 200 turns is just what I need for Trio and the Tree, or that such a set lasts 20 rounds in the 3 last SG arenas. In your case, it will probably be different.

A real long terme investment are trainings to increase your drop rates. You want them maxed out eventually anyway.

Btw, is it even worth maxing out Scavenger/Quartermaster? I thought they conflict with each other at some point

No they don't conflict. Feel free to max out every drop training, if you dare that is.
It's rather equipment drop training that very slightly reduces the drop rate of everything else, but TBH that's for the better. You don't want to get fewer equipments to get what, more draughts or artifacts?

B-but (chaos / blood) tokens?

(Also, the tier (for wood, metal, leather, cloth) of monster gifts increase with monster PL, but quality remains right? As in, the chance of getting bindings and energy cells / phazons / actuators / others remain the same?)

You'll end up swimming in tokens one day. The difference is negligible anyway.

As said above, the effect on other drops is negligible.

'Tier' and 'quality' are vaguely equivalent but yes - the average grade of materials improves with monster PL, but the bindings and rare upgrade material gifts remain the same chance. That said, at very high PLs, you'll get more of everything because the monsters are appearing in battles and getting wins occasionally, which increases the likeliness of a gift triggering.

Energy cells only come from salvaging the rare-type equipments (phase, shade, power) & not from the monster lab.

Can an axe ever be used, if it's of higher quality than other available weapon types? On same tier, not good for 1H nor DW offhand because no parry, outclassed by club for DW main hand, but maybe if it's of 2 quality tiers higher it can compensate?

What does Karma do? The Wiki just talks about imbuing each other, but not what it's used for.

I have tried axes in 1H. I think once you are in higher level and difficulty where you in most of the time cannot 1-shot a monster, you should consider using a main hand with parry. Parry in 1H is so important not only for survival, and also for the counter-attack, which brings you both DPS and charge.

I'm not an expert though so you can still listen to others.

I actually also have a question for myself.

is it worth to use scrolls to fight as a mage, if I might be able to clear the arena in a higher difficulty?

Currently my daily run is at IWBTH for the arenas. Sometimes the spark of life effect will be triggered but I think most of the time it's because of my mistake of not paying attention to the HP. I assume that if I use the haste and protection scrolls I should be able to run PFUDOR.
I haven't looked at the clear speed very carefully, but usually I can kill most monsters in 3 turns after they are imp'ed.

Also, we all know that starting from the L225 arenas there will be special monsters every level, and the clear speed could be much slower there. Should I use scrolls to run them then? (I'm able to clear it with 1H melee but you know the speed is quite slow)

Nothing, it's obsolete. It used to affect a ton of stuff, but it been disentangled from everything.

you need to have enough proficiency, and then also do the ability points + slot the ability

Forgive me if my guess is incorrect but I am thinking you might have slotted the first level of 'Better Ragnarok' - which is just an enhancement - but your Forbidden proficiency is probably lower than the minimum 200 to actually unlock the spell?

If you use userscripts, notably HV utils, you can save some clicks while buying, so you don't need to go to the IS to buy catalysts.
Are you using monsterbation too? This makes it so you hover play instead of click play.
