So I've recently swapped to a cold mage and am working on getting my proficiency up and the monsters on PFUDOR seem to demolish my HP. Would this change if I increase my prof factor to kill them faster, or should I try to forge evade some more?

As a mage, your main defense is not getting hit, first by killing things fast and second with defensive stats. So a higher prof factor will definitely help, but in the end evade is going to matter too.

Mages are squishy. The first few days/weeks as mage are painful, but taking a lot of damage is normal for a mage. Forging will definitely help. Charged cotton/phase helps you survive. Juggernaut will help a bit too. Increase your DEX to get some parry (I keep DEX=END=AGI > INT=WIS). For forging, prioritize your Staff and Cotton, since those are cheaper and prof factor helps you deal damage (long term goal should be .79 for elemental). Personally, I would max forge my staff (at least for MDB/EDB/Prof) before starting on Phases since those are expensive. If your staff is not P5S4, you may want to reforge. P5 helps you imperil and damage more consistently, S4 helps in the same way that Charged cloth does.

Alright my staff has Pen 5 and Spellweaver 4 so I'm set on that front. I've upgraded my prof as far as the forge allows for me to do right now which puts me at a factor of ~0.721. How much higher should my Dex, End and Agi be than my Int and Wis? Also is it worth putting points into Str for the extra spirit?

str can be 0. Mage does not benefit from extra base spirit. Not at all. you can start by keeping every stat the same, or maybe the defensive stuff +10 higher

After doing some forging I was able to beat DwD and Post Game Content faster than my 1H set, so thanks for the tips. I still can take a lot of damage but it'll probably lessen when I get more forge levels for damage.

Hello again, sorry I kept coming back for random questions.
1. For monsterlab, is there really no increase in gifts quality / frequency if we increase their power level after 25? (Indirect bonus don't count, so if maybe if higher level monster goes to battle more often -> more likely to KO players -> more likely to get gift, let's not consider that for now)
2. Is Slaughter suffix a must for a main hand weapon? Speaking in context of 1H, let's say I have two Rapiers. One is level 250ish, is Legendary but of suffix Nimble. The second is 25 levels higher, is Magnificent with Slaughter. As a result, the legendary one is better in every stat, especially parry (30% vs 17%), but not ADB (570 vs 750), and strength due to low rolls (29 vs 31). Is the Magnificent the better one even if the quality is lower? I feel like the legendary can still be better with higher parry for more counters and higher penetrated armor chance might lead to better damage, but I might be coping. If it's DW, I guess the legendary rapier would work great on offhand.

Quality in terms of material tier increases with powerlevel, but frequency of gifts depends on your monsters being present in battles, and you'll need at least 1500 PL (or maybe 1600+ nowadays) for them to regularly appear for most people. Chaos upgrades will increase the likelihood that monsters bring more than one gift at a time, and if you want to max out chaos upgrades, you also need to increase their PL. Check the wiki for details on these. QUOTE(firzein @ Dec 3 2023, 19:52) 2. Is Slaughter suffix a must for a main hand weapon? Speaking in context of 1H, let's say I have two Rapiers. I think in that scenario they're within margin of error, but both are suboptimal. You ideally want a legendary of slaughter for a 1H build, but if you have survival issues then the Nimble is the clear choice. For DW, to maximize damage you would want a Club of Slaughter main hand and Rapier of Balance for offhand, but Rapier of Nimble is almost as good, and slightly more defensive.

Disagree with the stats. END should be the highest no matter what, because it's the one with the best ROI. DEX only ever gives a very little amount of Parry and wastes the rest in pointless Crit chance, attack damage, attack accuracy. END gives PMit, MMit and HP which are all essential for survivability. AGI gives a bit less PMit, a bit of evade, a bit of pointless attack speed. Finally, you get a lot of AGI and WIS from your equipment, therefore adding points from the point allocation is much less efficient on a global scale. Therefore the priority should be this: END > AGI > DEX > WIS = INT, STR = 0. This is what I have and it works like a charm: (IMG:[ i.imgur.com] https://i.imgur.com/5H4J4p0.png) Bear in mind that when upgrading stats, what you should watch is not the base value, but the amount of XP required to upgrade compared to the effect you get from upgrading. In my example, you can see END costing around 3 times more than AGI to upgrade (but its overall positive effect is much, much higher), which itself is twice more expensive than DEX to upgrade. Finally, in case justreadin doesn't do it already: use scrolls. Use them like you use toilet paper, until you're comfortable enough without them. Playing mage is using consumables like a pig first and foremost. The only worry should be this: "just how expensive should it be for me to clear every round?" No, there is no increase in quality whatsoever. THe only thing that changes is the tier of the Metal/Leather/Cloth/Wood they bring back, along with higher PL. Everything stays the same. All you can do is increasing their gift factor to drop more. At best, you can increase the likelihood of them winning by focusing on the important stats that actually help at defeating players (instead of distributing them evenly), but it doesn't really make much difference. You could also upgrade their stats with chaos levels, but it's not recommended until very, very late when you're already got a full monster lab and upgrading those is more efficient gift factor wise (which means you won't even invest in the first level of those stats before even reching gift factor 5 on your entire monster lab). And don't even think about upgrading their PL until very high to increase the frequency of them winning in battle, that's an expense that is not worth it. Aww... ah well, I guess I can afford to be suboptimal this early in the game. And yes, I know increasing PL to be combat-ready is too much of investments, as does chaos upgrades (compared to making new monsters that is), so I don't want to take that into account. Thanks for the confirmation. So the tier (for wood, metal, leather, cloth) increase, but quality remains right? As in, the chance of getting bindings and energy cells / phazons / actuators / others remain the same?

Hey, it seems I've hit a weird glitch and I have no idea how to fix it. So sometime after Dawn of the New Day was triggered, I noticed my physical attack damage completely changed. I had something around 650 base damage, but now it's 481. Unfortunately, I have only [ imgur.com] a screenshot of my stats back in lvl 51, but you can still see that I had more physical base attack damage at 581, which is more than my current 481. I have not touched my equipment since lvl 49, and the abilities, training, etc. since around level 53. The only thing I touched since were my primary attribute points which I just kept increasing, and not taking away any points. I have logged in and out and nothing changed. I have also tried some of the battle arenas and it does impact the amount of damage I've done to the monsters, so it isn't just a weird aesthetic-only glitch. Is there any way to fix this, or should I contact the moderators? And if I need to contact the moderators (?) of the hentaiverse, who should I contact and how?

Probably your equipment is damaged (below 50%). Make the following: Forge --> Rapair --> Repair All

I don't think I've ever intentionally used scrolls in my entire time playing HV. I've only ever died due to negligence more than anything so I'm not sure if I really "need" them but what scrolls do you recommend and when should I use them? I pretty much just play arenas when I have time if that makes any difference on usage. Also thanks for the advice and example on the stats, helped me actually understand more of why the points are distributed that way.

No to either. I haven't changed my equipment since lvl 49 and this is the same persona. Funnily enough, my second persona wasn't affected at all. Anyhow, I would like to know what's the best way to reach the moderators (?) of hentaiverse, because I have no clue why this is happening.

Hi there! After long time I'm coming back to HV, and I found the new Isekai mode (to me). I've tried that mode a little bit and have some questions: - In the wiki it writes the first million credits will be kept in ISK and the rest will be transfered to persist. Does that mean ISK credit and persistent credit could be considered as equal?
- I understand that only soulbound and peerless equips can be transferred to persist. However, since there are no encounters (I assume so) in ISK, it seems like the only source of soul fragment is from the Tower, which however is a one-time thing, and from the system shop. Am I correct here?
- I'm currently L185 in ISK and found that it's extremely hard to find useful gears around my level even in the trade area as people seems like to be around L350. Considering the limited availability of soul fragment, should I keep using trash equips until I'm getting to higher levels?
- I noticed that every tower level increases the monster level by 10. I also noticed that you need to complete the tower level 100 to get all the bonuses. Does that mean we need to fight level 1000 monsters at the end? Or does it increase the difficulty, or has an attack/health modifier on the monster?
Many thanks in advance!

Many thanks in advance! 1. correct, should have about the same value when trading. Note that you can only sell equipment when you have a donator start (at least bronze). Everyone can buy. 2. Correct. Huge credit sink, those soul frags 3. it's easier when you start at start of season: extra equipment drops + a lot of players with the same level. But still, there may be lower level gear for sale. Ask around, for instance on discord. 4. correct, level 1000 monster and way, way harder mode than pfudor. I never made it past floor 82, but it is possible. Defense is everything, and you need a lot of weaken, silence, sleep, etc. However: floor 50 is enough to get the main benefits of +3 stats in persistent. no reason to continue after that. And floor 50 is not that hard to reach.

Thank you for the message! I checked each of your points that may influence attack, but unfortunately none have fixed this problem. It seems to be a bug, however I could be (hopefully) wrong. I'll contact the admin via PM to see what's going on.
