I just started playing, just hit level 100 (I'm at about 104 as of this post). Is there any good goals I should be chasing and some basic gear I should be trying to acquire? So far I've just been using a 1H + Shield setup I made by buying stuff from the Bazaar. Any recommended build to follow for that same setup?

you seem to be doing it right. At level 100, it's best to chose 1 type of armor (heavy) and make use of the abilities for that type of armor. In a while, the monsters will get more dangerous. You could already start looking for a decent shield, like an exquisite force shield. Then forge the block on that to 5 at least. Also, try to find a nice 1h weapon with lots of damage and parry. Like a rapier or shortsword. Then IW that to 10.

Use ability points and slot your abilities.

Try to play the highest difficulty that you can. Except when it's the first time you do an arena. Because if you fail, you don't unlock the next arena as you level up. What I do in isekai is try to play IWBTH on arena's that I have cleared already, but lower diff (Nintendo or Hell) when you do the first time run.

finally: do you use scripts?
1. Monsterbation is essential. Will speed up your game play enormously
2. HV Utils is highly recommended. Does everything - especially stuff you didn't know you wanted.
3. Live Percental Ranges to compare equip
4. Smart Search to look through equipment shops

Oh! And buy a gold star with BTC. You won't regret that. But if you can't the game is still very well playable.

For goals it's up to you.

• Some people might say a good goal is to simply enjoy the game without taking it too seriously (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
• A goal that might help you later is to collect figurines (rare drops from monsters) and when you have 21 different figurines in your inventory then you'll be able to use the OFC skill (does massive damage to all enemies but has a long cooldown).
• My previous goal was to get the Dovahkiin Title by reaching lvl 300 and clearing the arena A Dance with Dragons on PFUDOR difficulty.
• My next goal is to create monsters so good that someone will put them in >Monster names that made you laugh, The Gallery Of Funny Monster Names https://forums.e-hentai.org/index.php?showtopic=191940.

For gear:

• Specifically for 1H if you have a choice between 2 shields, choose the one with the highest Block Chance%. Not only does it protect you from attacks, it also helps you kill monsters faster with the Counter-Attack on block. Force shields often have higher Block than other shields.
• For any style where you attack with a weapon, try to get a weapon that is Ethereal/Fiery/Arctic/Shocking/Tempestuous/Hallowed/Demonic because those hit 2 times whenever you attack - the normal hit plus a second hit with a Void/Fire/Cold/Elec/Wind/Holy/Dark strike. In the screenshot below you can see my Fiery rapier hitting 3 times: normal hit + Fire Strike + Void Strike. The 3rd hit is because I increased my rapier's Potency to 10 (MAX) in the Item World, but if I were you I wouldn't worry about Potency yet until around lvl 200 (maybe lvl 150 if you really want to) because you'll probably keep finding better and better weapons a few times between lvl 100 and 200. For now I recommend just trying to get a weapon that comes with one extra strike. If you still haven't found one by the time you're lvl 146, you can message me and I'll let you borrow my old lvl 146 Superior Ethereal Shortsword of Slaughter if you promise to give it back when you don't need it anymore.

Noni's advice is good too, and Noni knows a lot more about this than I do.

Starter's question but this year I wanted to actually finish/start the HV Isekai season and try getting the Early Bird bonuses and everything and I already fumbled and sold EVERYTHING in the market a couple months back (to avoid autosale) before I saw the season date changes were announced, and had to rebuy & redo a lot, so:
Confirmed season end is on 22/23rd this month?
Anything I should do in Market before season ends?
Anything I should do or set up for purchase in Market as season starts? Materials for my future weapon/armor upgrades?

Saved up spare credits so I should keep some and have some pass over to Persistent, so I want to use that remaining amount in Isekai.

With the extra time and XPs I finally managed to get that tower floor 34 and this time I'd like to try and finish/start Isekai properly.

Its a magical attack so Absorption should work to take a hit. But its not guaranteed, if you maxed the Better Absorption ability its still only a 80% chance.

Related: consider putting some spells on auto-cast in the settings, so you don't need to constantly re-cast them manually.

I have definitely been using mana draughts. Tend to use about 1 per longer arena fight.

Does spark of life need a scroll? I do have one of those I think.

Also are any of the debuffs like imperil or weaken important? I would assume the damage and divine/forbidden spells that are more offensive aren't really important.

Does spark of life need a scroll? I do have one of those I think.

Spark of Life is a spell you unlock at level 100, can also be granted with Scroll of Life and Scroll of the Gods if you don't have it unlocked yet I think.

Supportive Spells and Deprecating Spells are important for every style.
Install all the spells that can be installed on IA and upgrade related Abilities.
Continuously drink mana draughts without interruption to maintain your mana at a healthy level.

Supportive Spells provide what you need to survive.
Deprecating Spells can help you defeat enemies more easily.
(More Deprecating Spells and thinking about combat strategies can allow you to defeat difficult enemies that are beyond your own level.)

In theory, Haste and Shadow Veil will hinder the speed of destroying enemies in the 1H style, because they will affect the number of counterattacks, but please be sure to confirm that survivability is intact before considering turning it off.
(Everyone’s situation is different, you can try it yourself to see the difference and see if you need to distract yourself from replenishing blood from time to time)

Then I found that it took me 33 stamina points to finish The Trio and the Tree, and I started to face up to the problem.

I found that just looking at reference pictures is not enough.
So I opened the Pony Wiki and watched the character introductions.
This can help you understand the characteristics of the characters and memorize them more easily.
Then I found dozens of pictures to look at, because I couldn’t fully understand the character’s appearance just by looking at the original reference pictures.

Then four days later I was freed from the curse.

May Pony’s blessings be with you.

This is my personal experience that I responded to before.
It tells about the consequences of not paying attention at first and how I improved later.
Remember, think of this as a multiple-choice question with at most three correct answers.
There will be serious penalties for wrong answers, so don’t choose an answer you’re not sure about.

if they both are not upgraded yet, then lvl116 one, because has higher block chance, most important stat for the shields

Not if it's peerless, and some legendaries are also worth a lot in auction even if they don't fit your fighting style. Send those to Super's auction. The link also has a guide of what items can sell (or could sell a few years ago when the guide was written).

For lower quality, I tend to auto-sell because the materials you get from salvaging can be bought really cheaply at the market. The one exception is high-grade cloth, which can be salvaged from magnificent cloth armor (cotton and phase), though I sort through phases manually because some sell for more than HGC and other don't. Salvaging unwanted legendaries give cores, so check those prices compared to the bazaar sell price.

Are exquisite staffs useful for anyone? I would give them away, but if nobody would use them, I'd rather just salvage or sell.
