spark will not trigger if you have exactly 1 hp. But I guess if you use monsterbation, your hover will stop and you should probably be aware that you should do something to fill your hp tank. However if you manually do all actions.. sigh

Almost all the damage occurred on the one turn, though, after casting Heartseeker - so yes, it's the 1 HP spark problem (as PeterHoHK answered already), but it's not really avoidable at all in some extreme cases.

Wasn't there like a bug that makes spark of life fail to activate if you have exactly 1 HP? I crunched the numbers and it seems like you're unlucky enough to have that happen to you.

arena's is the easiest way I'm afraid. Just invest more in your gear, that will speed up the arenas enormously.

It does not stack because you can only have one Spike Shield slotted at any time.

If your weapon has an elemental strike then you would want to use whichever spike shield will lower enemy resistance to that element. If no elemental strike on weapon then there it doesn't really matter which you use unless you want more mitigation against a specific element.

If you have full imperil abilities upgraded and slotted(!) then it's most likely that your spell just doesn't land. Get more depr. proficiency. For instance by buying the depr. prof perk.

You are correct - the 'Strongest' function reads the argument array right to left, not left to right, aaand it just clicks all of them in sequence til something happens - so in your case, it's casting imperil, checking monster 4, and if that's not there to click, it clicks monster 3... etc.
