I'm asking if there is another 'skill' (or some other technique) like 'shield bash' for slashing damage (without changing equipment).

Hypothetically, if my weapon is a club, how would I do piercing or slashing damage?

1h should not use skills, unless you fight boss monsters. Instead, use the overcharge pips to go into spirit stance. 1h can almost stay in spirit stance all the time.

Against bosses: cast imperil on boss, attach other stuff until the boss is stunned, then, while in spirit stance, use Vital Strike. Much better than shield bash.

A question about equipment potencies.
Is there a max level a potency can get to or not? I mean, is it possible to have a katana at max potency with lvl.10 overpower?

you'll have one lv5 potency and a lv4 potency and a hollowforge. never possible for 10 potencies, you'll have max of 9.

Hello friends, I was wondering if I could get an opinion on secondary/tertiary stats in regards to selling value.

I have one of these I'd like to sell, but the Holy EDB is only at 32%. Meanwhile, everything else is pretty darn high. Would the overall high percentages make it a high-value item or should I just put it up for like 1mil (based on existing stuff)?

effect of the other stats isn't that great, but yeah this one could be worth a little bit more. Personally, I'd send it to auction and see what happens. Maybe put a min. bid of 500k or so?

Hi welcome to the forum and to HV. Its a really unique game. The red bar represents your health points and the blue bar represents your mana points. You can repair your wepaons at the forge but you may need to buy some materials first. You can buy any scrap or materials you need at the item shop.

green: health
blue: mana
red: spirit
orange: charge

you don't really need to repair your weapons at low level since you level up very fast. when you reach higher level that you can't level up by 1 a day, you may want to keep them > 60%. If you use HVUT, it'll tell you when to repair.

for wind mage, you need willow staff. So no, this is not good. Redwood doesn't give a wind edb boost. Also, willow has counter resist which is extremely useful.

Redwood does give edb boost to wind. It's just that willow does too and also has counter-resist, so willow is much better for IW/fest, and they perform close enough in SG arenas for redwood not to be worth using.

Cold/fire on the other hand gets edb boost from redwood but not willow. Willow is still miles better for IW/fest, but redwood is noticeably better for SG arenas.

What would be the best way to farm credits?
I've been doing PFUDOR for a few weeks now... But it takes way too long to play like that, and so far I haven't even had peerless equipment since I started playing the game. So I gave up hoping to drop one that would be interesting and sell for a good price.
If I'm only interested in farming credits and allocating the minimum amount of resources (right now I'm robbing the market with scrolls and potions so it's not very profitable), what's the best way to do it?

Peerless drops are really really rare. But there is a fair chance of dropping a sellable legendary. However, best way to make credits: do the daily arena's every day, and sell the boss trophies on the market. That gives you steady income, and in time that will give you a lot of funds.

If you want credits quickly - use real money. A gold star is a joy forever. And there are always people looking to buy one.

Yeah nothing yet... they are supposed to be usable in a new update that should be coming 'soon'. Original plan was that it would be introduced last year, then beginning of this year, and now it's delayed. But, tenboro is working on it, so it will come eventually.

The cores will then be used to upgrade equipment stats, replacing forge and item world mechanics. We don't know how it will work. But it will be great, for sure. Or not, but that doesn't matter as it will still be the way it will work. And we'll be playing HV anyway.

From my experience, the best value you get out of everything is by selling trophies and artifacts. Even though the prices aren't as good anymore as they were once before.
Trophies you get without caring about difficulty until the lvl 250 arena. As of 300 you are locked to the highest difficulty.
Artifacts you get randomly, without caring about the difficulty.

In other words, the best bang for your buck (time spent vs credits gained) is to just do normal lvl 250 arena and random encounters. RE aren't taking much time, so you can and should raise difficulty for that. Shouldn't cost you consumables.

People generally do not recommend to play on normal, as certain things do not drop, but you can choose yourself what is comfortable for you. If you can, IWBTH is a good difficulty, as this maxes arena final round bonus equip tier for arenas before lvl 300. (225 and 250 have tier 6, aka 2% ish chance for a legendary)
Doing flying spaghetti monster on that difficulty (or pfudor) is recommend for the same reason.
Still, if that takes too long, it's fine to play it on lower difficulties.

Sigh...I had just been thinking that I hadn't gotten an artifact drop in ages, and then lo and behold, I had two of them drop in a single RE. I went to sell them and was surprised to find that they're pretty much unsellable now. Yay.
