font-family is just the general name of the font.

Should I be using these trophies in the shrine? Or is it better to just sell them on the market so I have credits to train with?

Usually it's better to sell if you are new, but at the same time if you really lack even low quality equip, shrining can be okay. That said, I'd keep on holding noodles from the flying spaghetti monster. At that stage of the game, those usually are better to use yourself, unless you are lucky and find someone selling gear. Depends on your gear though. If you still need magnificents though, noodles are the way to go.

Thank you Noni and Jantch for the assistance. Changing the font to a custom setting fixed the issue. Now I can start trying to sell stuff with at least a little insight in to the % rolls, yes yes (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

For End of Days (lvl 225) and Eternal Darkness (lvl 250), what's the rationale for setting difficulty to Nintendo vs. something lower than that? Is that a good trade-off of lower HP SGs to arena clear bonus + boss drops?

in a previous version of HV, lower difficulty would be much faster. Back then, we used to say "make sure you're Hard when facing Schoolgirls". But now, the speed difference isn't that great. It's just safer. Therefore, I'd say go as high diff as you can manage. At the same time I would advice you to try different difficulties to find out what you prefer.

• My monsters are around PL 400, and it's really expensive now to up their level via crystals which I'd be using to max morale.
• Cost is ~1,800 crystals for Primary Attribute and ~2,500 crystals for Elemental Mitigation per level, but the crystal cost rapidly increases per level. That's about 3,000 credits per increase and that's a small section of morale.
• Happy pills are around 550 credits on The Market, so that's an option as well, but I need 4 of them to max morale. That's about 2,200 credits to max morale and much cheaper than increasing PL.
• I don't have any hunger/morale drain improvements like GS or Extra Strength Formula Hath Perk. I'm fairly poor credit-wise relative to other players.

Questions

1. Is it worth it to get my monsters to PL 500 for the possible High Grade drops? It seems like high grade materials are pretty cheap nowadays on The Market.
2. What should the credit investment look like to increase morale for getting credits back from selling Materials?
3. Should I just forget about Monster Lab for increasing my credits?

high-grades are worth so little these days... it really hurts (my wallet) to see those prices. So I don't think there is a good return on investment for upgrading to 500. Priority 1: open as many slots as possible. 2. then upgrade one monster to 1200, 1300 or even higher.

But monsterlab is much better when you get gold star. If you can afford the BTC, that's the best investment for HV that you can make.

The High-Grade drops and other quality drops seem to operate on a linear basis from what I've seen and has been posted before, or in other words at PL 500 you have something like 1% of dropping a High-Grade at most and it goes higher by like 1% every PL you get. Even then, as you reach 750 and eliminate the low-grades it'll most likely still remain rather low.


2. What should the credit investment look like to increase morale for getting credits back from selling Materials?

I calculated it before but it took way over a year to get back your investment at PL 750 and good luck with drops (HGC), and it gets worse the higher you go, particularly now with lower prices so we're talking about several years for a monster over 1700+ to pay off and a 2250 will never pay off (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) (it takes like 10+ years to pay off the initial investment to get it there).

I personally took the approach to use the minimum amount of crystals required to restore their morale to max every few weeks as I kept unlocking slots so while the cost/reward kept me in the green for a long while and the crystal cost was low as it effectively was included into the "maintenance budget" it took a LONG time to raise their levels. And it also worked as I mostly used my own crystals and rarely bought packs. So if you're at that stage do consider if you want to go further in PL for your monsters. For comparison at PL 750 an increase in a single stat costs some 30k crystals per main attribute and 15k for resistances, at PL 1500 it takes like 200k+ of a single type of crystal to increase a stat +1, and the very last level of a monster takes 2m+ crystals per stat.


3. Should I just forget about Monster Lab for increasing my credits?

Yeah pretty much, I mean do keep unlocking slots and tending to your monsters as necessary as it's a nice source of passive income if you keep costs reasonable and it certainly helps with the gold star but not something that will make you rich in the short term. Heavy investment in lab seems to be and endgame kinda thing. Do note that despite all the negatives having a good lab has its own benefits as you can upgrade your equips with your own home-grown items, makes you less reliant to other people which keeps your wallet stable, provides resilence when scarcity hits and makes you able to completely avoid the reselling and monopoly schemes altogether among other things.
But yeah, if you want to increase the credit output from your lab focusing on the star seems like a better choice.

much better way is to install HV Utils, that will protect anything of value and also lets you sell many at once.

You can select multiple pieces of equipment in the bazaar by holding down the ctrl key while you are selecting them.

Also, selecting one piece, and holding down the shift key while selecting a second, will select the entire range from the first to the second.

How exactly do the tickets and 5th–1st prize selections work? Do I need to save up a ton of GP to cap on 100 tickets for something I reaaallllllyy want, or should I buy in to each lottery because 5th place is pretty common?

Each ticket (cost: 1000GP) gives you 1 chance in getting picked for a prize. There are a total of 6 prizes (the 2-5th prize, the first prize equipment and the first prize "Do Not Want" core prize). Each person can only win 1 prize per lottery.

You can save up GP on equips that you really want, but other people will put in more tickets as well, lowering your chance. Take a look at ytd armor lottery (total 437740 tickets).

I dont think winning is common as usually those previous winners are those who play using GP earned from H@H or uploading galleries.

I believe the next update will be on February of 2023. I'm not sure about clear times with rapiers so I'll leave that question to a melee expert. However your new rapier is very nice its very close to Peerless. I'd say its an upgrade to your current one if you don't mind losing 10% of the mats.

Well the lottery is completely random so it doesn't hurt to enter a lot of lotteries with low ticket numbers. A lot of players have won something with only 1 ticket. However if you really want something I would buy thousands of tickets if you can afford it. Low ticket pools are fairly easy to win if you buy thousands. Lets say the lottery pool is 30k total tickets if you put 8k tickets in you stand a good chance to get one of the top prizes. But remember that it is random so you might not win at all too. The more you enter the more likely you are to win. Big ticket pools are pretty hard to win even if you buy the max tickets of 20k and use a golden lottery ticket. Still I would never expect to win anything no matter how many tickets you buy because more likely than not you'll be disappointed with the results.

I've won the top prizes before with thousands of tickets and one time I won the top prize of a 80k ticket pool with 400 tickets. But I have lost a lot more than I have won and that is just the nature of the lottery. You will spend a lot of GP if you try to gear yourself out with the lottery and its going to be pretty impossible to win all the items you want even if you enter with 20k tickets each time. Also many players will enter a big ticket pool to win the 500 chaos tokens. That is the top prize for me and I can count how many times I've won it with one hand. Its hard to win with the lottery.

I've read the wiki, and believe I understand the difference between a "Tick" and a "Round" fair well. However, for the life of me, I don't understand why I am losing mana.

I am using the arcana perk for "Spark Of Life" which consumes 2.82MP per Round.
I have my Wisdom at 260, which grants a mana regen of 15 per Tick.

That said, without a mana draught, I am steadily losing mana and I don't see why.

Would someone kindly Explain Like I'm Five.

Are you using the monsterbation script?

If so, you are probably unintentionally casting spells (usually holy spells) when hovering, accidentally using ctrl hover or shift hover.
