my one hand magic hit chance is at 92.3% so I miss Imperil sometimes
is that just how it is for one hand or I can raise it?

Monsters can resist and evade, and your spells can miss. The first one can be dealt with by increasing prof, the others by increasing magic accuracy.

Aether shards give +50% magic accuracy, so your imperils will be much less likely to miss/be evaded (completely eliminating monster evade requires ~200% magic accuracy). In your case, this would get you to 142% magic accuracy, which is a pretty decent boost.

You lower the chance a monster will resist by increasing your counter resist. The only way to do this as 1h is to increase your deprecating proficiency. The Evil Enchantress hath perk increases your deprecating proficiency by 10% of your base deprecating proficiency (i.e if you have 350 base deprecating prof, the perk gives an extra 35). Theoretical maximum counter resist is around 80% with a peerless willow/oak and 1.0 deprecating prof factor, so it's not possible to completely eliminate monster resist.

Potencies, that's only relevant if you have a very good weapon that you'll use for a long time. For this one, your IW result is perfectly fine. Also, Overpower is not that bad as some experts used to think. A lot of testing and research has been done, and it turns out Overpower is the best for DW, Niten, 2h, and not completely useless for 1h. For now, any set of potencies will do. IW 10 gives you that extra strike that you need.

That's a greatful thing for me.
Thank you for answering me.
I feel much better now as you told me that I didn't really waste my time doing iw.
I'll back if I get new questions.
See you then. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

I was asking somewhat jokingly just so I could get my post in, but I actually didn't realize it was so often. I thought it was once every 6 months for some reason so I'm glad I asked, thank you for the reply!

Kind of a silly question but is there any reason not to sell exquisite and superior eq ?
Materials are cheaper and as an item they are useless to anyone other than new players, correct?

Is there a quick way to find out when your last post was if you don't remember where to find the post itself? Or, failing that, some kind of an indicator to say you have or don't have the xp boost?

1 - Click on your username.
2 - On the new page that opens, go to "Profile Options" (on the right side of the screen).
3 - Choose the "Find member's posts" option.
4 - Usually an error message will appear (or something like this). Wait 5 seconds and reload the page.

I think it's a problem with many chromium based browsers (even up-to-date Chrome), but you can often get straight to the results without waiting by middle clicking "Find members posts" instead of left clicking.

I believe it's 20 seconds and not 5 for the normal members group.

I didn't know that. I tested on Firefox and works smoothly. I do not usually access the site by Firefox because of the game, which has more slow than in chromium based browsers.

Sometimes I use the right button, but it doesn't always work.

You are right. When I didn't have Gold Star, it was 20 seconds waiting.

My Monsterbation script stopped working on persistent all of a sudden. I did a new arena and it didn't show up. This was on a google chrome browser. I finished the arena on nightly. The funny thing is that it works on isekai but it doesn't show up in persistent. Has anyone had this problem before?

yes, something similar. With me, it was a setting in one of the equip-set-bound-settings that was missing a capital. Something silly like 'Key_M' instead of 'KEY_M'. Or missing a comma. Or a bracket.

To fix this:
1. Nuclear option. Remove all local storage files, download a new monsterbation, and start building your settings up from scratch
2. Forward Planning option: when the thing is still working, make regular backups of your settings by doing 'dump' and copying everything in a txt. But you are passed this point in time, I guess.
3. Bug Fixing: using the Linter - find the link in the script section of the forum. Open each set of settings and copy the settings into the linter. Also do this with the settings INSIDE the script. If there is an error there, it will only affect settings-sets that don't overwrite that particular setting. Repeat until you find and fix the error.

I guess the setting is still working outside the battle so just open the monsterbation setting and change the wrong setup is fine

Thank you. I will try to fix it tomorrow. It was very wierd I don't even know why it happened. The only thing different I did was make a new persona and changed some equipment but I wasn't using that persona. It just stopped working after entering a new arena.

when you make a new persona, MB will create a new settings set for that persona. And there it may have used a broken setting from the base script or from an older version or from another set. Personally, I find these MB setting way too complex. It's easier to manage separate scripts for separate personas. And it's easier to find bugs when there is just one set of settings to go through. But with the 'forward planning' option, I now have tamed the beast. Had to do the Nuclear first, though....

I thought that might have been the problem. Looks like I'll have to go nuclear on Monsterbation and start fresh. Well it was my last persona that is why I made it. I would have let things be if I knew it was going to cause this. Thank you Noni.

It's happened to me last month too and I found out it's because I renamed the persona on ISK (didn't affect on persistent)

what is the ideal stat distribution for one hand?
I'm at level 318 right now so I have:
Strength 364
Dexterity 364
Agility 364
Endurance 364
Intelligence 0
Wisdom 318

should I remove points from Agility and leave it at 318 too?
that would raise Strength, Dexterity and Endurance to 371
