1. If I am not upgrading equip, should I just stick with shade gear until 300-350 and 1H rapier of slaughter + force shield? I have old gear (planning to upgrade), and also borrowing rapier from someone (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

2. How high should I be training my scavenger 22/LotD 8/quartermaster 5/archaeologist 1 to self-drop some good gear? I'm not sure if I'm just too low, but the only thing I've ever dropped was a legendary force shield (current shield).

1. Your equipments level is too low from your level, like wiki said you should change your equipments when your level is 30 above your equipments level. I suggest you to replace them to equipments that close to your level. And maybe you should change to rapier+shield+heavy power armor..

2. You should do battle more often, train slowly because training is a big credit sink. You better focus on replacing your equipments. Visit WTS thread, there are some free shop that can help you (a lot i guess)..

Armors : replace them to be all legendary power, if you need a good clearance time in arena then look for slaughter/balance suffix, if your mitigations are too low (like mine) look for protection/warding suffix.

Actually, balance power armor doesn't seem to be any more popular than warding armor. I suppose it's because it gives neither ADB, nor mitigation. I wouldn't recommend balance power armor for anything except Power 2H with a slaughter 2H, or for low level players who want to reach 200% accuracy without massive forging.

So the next most popular after slaughter is protection?

But my power armor protection got no good bid.... (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif)

If i want to improve more my P/Mmitigation, i have to go full protection or protection-warding combination? I'm on full warding right now and will change to 2protect+2warding+1slaughter...

I cant understand why anyone is even bothered with power of protection/warding while its legendary adb ranges are worse than exquisite adb ranges of slaughter.
I did some quik maffs and full set of protection can result in you taking up to 18.4% less damage (and up to whooping -30.8% when x1.5), so its quite impressive. Whats even more impressive is warding: with it you take up to 33.3% less magic damage (and up to -57.5% when x1.5).
But each of em reduces only either physical or magical attacks. You can mix em up and go like 3+2 which could give you, say, at best 20ish percent increased damage reduction at x1.5. But is it really worth losing huge amounts of adb for that, especially for highlevels? And wouldnt going frd be a much better choice if you have trouble staying alive?

Edit: full forge should be x1.35 not x1.5, i messed up, and i suspected that from the very beginning (which is why i never wrote fullforge). Still, my point stands. Not that anyone fucking cares anyway.

I have tested 4slaughter+1warding on dovahkiin (means frd) then 4slaughter+1protection on godslayer, then 4warding+1slaughter on godslayer. The best (in my case) is 4warding+1slaughter+godslayer because i got few improved clear time but much less cure (3-4times) in 100 rounds. With 4slaughter+1warding+dovahkiin, i got a chance of being defeated a lot (until 8-10times cure/full cure)...

you are lv390. I wonder how you are gonna die....since I've never died once after lv250.
For now I have 3 mag slaughters, 1 balance and 1 protection, and I never had any issue of survival

Edit: Also I suppose you are 1h, just like me. Frd is useless for 1h

I mean when lv.300-310, my equipments are exquisite+mags of slaughter and i used dovahkiin. I switched it to godslayer when lv.315 or so and replaced my gears to warding (will combine with protect in near future) slowly and i keep play like this till now. And yes for 1h+power user like us, frd is not really that helpful...

If warding improves your clear time as 1h, how do you even do all the IWs for all of your legendaries without heavily relying on frd? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)
[Edit]Ok, ok, i get that 1h loses even more adb when enemies are stunned by frd, but you don't have to use it all the time. Also i used frd only as example, since it can be applied to anyone, while 1h can also use other things which give surivability, like haste or shadow veil. So my question would be: does using forementioned spells give better survivability for potential adb loss ratio than power of warding?

Warding has no influence at all about the clear time as 1H. Who ever told you this made ether a typo or did lie to you. And you just do them. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) Not sure what you mean could be the problem. I have never used FRD nor SoL and i had never really a problem to IW my stuff. Well, at least no problem where FRD could have been any help. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/blush.gif)

I'll tell you what is the difference between an Exq/Mag Power of Slaughter and a Leg Power of Protection: the former makes you heal all the damn time, the latter allows you to breeze through IW100 and Grindfest.
At a higher level, Protection may even allow one to play Power 2H at PFUDOR difficulty.

For my part I highly doubt I'd be able to reach Grindfest 600 if I had a full slaughter instead of protection+warding.

I have some questions about the monster lab.

Is there a limit to how many monsters we are able to make?

For the monsters, should I have them at varying levels so that I can get different levels of materials? For example, should I have two monsters at a certain level-range so that they only give me mid-grade materials and several other monsters at much higher levels so that I can get high-grade materials? What about low-grade materials? Are they any useful?

I checked out the monster advice that was posted on the front of this forum, but I would like a confirmation. I should only invest in the gift/salvage abilities of the monsters with my tokens and not anything else?

How many monsters should I make and slowly level up? Should I invest in purchasing crystals from the item shop?

Thank you!

The limit for normal player is 100, for Gold Star and above is 200 slots.

Starting out, use Chaos Token to make as many monster as you can, when its morale get low, feed them crystal. Unless you're rich, don't try to buy too much crystal pack to level them up fast. Just
keep repeating the 2 step above. You'll get a high PL monster in due time. Since it's not like they drop more rare when their PL are high. Rare > HG mat => More monsters means more rare drops.

About the morale thingy, monsters only give you gift if their morale isn't 0.

Not really. The slot number is capped at 100 for everyone. Gold Star owner just get an additional monster per slot. But none additional slot.
