Cool. Now I can see how suck my imp Holy is: 7800 dd6+0% with ~3800 Imperil & more cure in consequence.

I know I shouldn't insist on playing imp Holy but I am too tired to get rid of it and build elem mage instead.

You need to beat one, to unlock the next. So in this case, beat lvl 85. If you haven't played for a LONG time, there may've been some changes.

I am a newbie with some questions about RiddleMaster:

I've learned from the wiki that I would never be able to know if I have answered correctly, but I found that in the game log the RiddleMaster do response to my answers (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) So I would like to ask if I could determine whether my answer is right or wrong by checking the game log = = Anyway, I don't suppose the RiddleMaster would "grin" or "breaks into a smile" if I answered incorrectly, and the RiddleMaster would always "grin" or "wink" or "breaks into smile" when I am sure I'm correct.

btw, how can I search for replies insted of topics? I want to look for useful information in this topic but I don't know how to filter replies.

According to the wiki, arenas above lv 90 are locked at PFUDOR diff, so maybe you need to switch to IWBTH diff I guess

Your picture showed Level 200, 225, and 250 arena with ROUNDS 75, 80, 85.

There has been changes to the arenas recently, at most only 14 challenges will be available to play and the rounds have been reduced in most cases. That means the old 100 round arena is now 75 rounds. Read patch notes or wiki for more information.

You will unlock 90 at lv300, 95 at lv400, 100 at lv500

Mage is a bit more complicated than that.

Damage can be resisted, up to 90%. The higher your prof, the lower the chance of getting resisted. You can imagine that adding more damage to your mage build has little effect if you spells get resisted for 90%. Adding 100 extra damage to your gear only does 10 extra damage to a monster that resists.

So first you need prof. Ideal is to get forb. prof factor to 1.0. This means: proficiency double your level. At start, 1.0 factor is hard to get, so you could settle for just a bit less and work from there

EDB is damage. Total damage that you deal is a function of MDB and EDB. You need both.
Please note that elemental mage is easier to get going than dark mage.

I'm playing as 1H Heavy at Nintendo diff now, I was satisfied with my pace but leveling up becomes harder and I want to switch to IWBTH or PFUDOR difficulty, as I've learned from the previous posts that I can benefit a lot from this. However, since I already have to cure myself every 4 to 5 turns at the late rounds in schoolgirls Arena, I suppose I could not survive higher difficulties now. So I'd like to ask if there's some advice on what should I do next to make myself strong enough to survive IWBTH or PFUDOR Arenas or IW(mainly for clearing stamina left)?

Here are my equipments: (I am quite proud that I managed to collect these, but it seems that these are far from enough?)
Exquisite Shortsword of Balance
Exquisite Buckler of Warding
Exquisite Power Helmet of Protection
Exquisite Power Armor of Warding
Exquisite Ruby Plate Gauntlets of Warding
Exquisite Cobalt Plate Greaves of Protection
Magnificent Onyx Plate Sabatons of Deflection

My current battle style:
No OFC; Spirit stance on for most of time (therefore I'm not so willing to use OFC); Cast Imperil when faced <6 mosters, and cast Silence when faced more; Always have Protection, Haste, Regen in effect, and in IA I have Spark of Life and Spirit Shield(looks like it never triggers); Use a lot of (for me) mana draughts and pots;

Where can I see the approved image hosts list for the forums, searching "image hosts" on the forums gave me no post to any approved list.

(I guess as an alternative if you save the link and go to a different page and copy the link to the url address bar of your browser it will open up the image, if you do it directly here access will be denied for some reason, God I hate all these tech problems so much.)

I think a good magnificent force shield would be a big improvement already. Block is key. Also, if you want to use shortsword, go for slaughter. Don't need to be legendary at all. If you're really desperate for magnificent gear:
1. Train some levels of scavenger / quarter master
2. Play DWD when you unlock it
3. Shrine some noodly appendage for shield - that has a pretty decent chance of getting a useful magnificent shield. You do need quite a few tries if you're unlucky though

If you have a shield with good block, forge it for a few levels - block stat only. You'll really notice the difference.

You have to reach level 250, where you unlock the "1H Block" ability in the Character Abilities page; just enabling and slotting it will already make a big difference in your protection.

As already said, if you can get a Magnificent Force Shield (or even an Exquisite Force shield) it would be a big improvement to your current Buckler; bucklers are the wickest shields (except for Buckler of Barrier), even a Kite Shield with good block would be better, especially if Magnificent.

For weapons, Shortsword of Slaughter (with Imperil) is almost as good as Rapier of Slaughter; is much easier to find and less costly too, and since you'll have to change it again later on, it may be a preferred option for a good but temporary weapon.
