QUOTE(killi890 @ Jan 2 2022, 20:09) As far as I know it's: Evasion -> Block -> Resist in terms of magic mitigation. So with the summery at the end, you just add all hits, crits and resists together and compare it to the block. Can do the same for phys, as I'm pretty sure parry is before block. That said, it might be that for whatever reason spells resisted are also counted as hit or crit. Regardless, figured I'd take a screen. This is for the level 200 arena. So, here you can see, that phys block works more or less how it should with a good 64% block rate. If magic is all counted separately however, 56 hits vs 43 blocks is weird. Even if that's not how it works though, 45hits vs 43 blocks is still weird. I should also note that from what I checked, the resist ration would be too high for my resist, if the r50 and r75 values would also count as hit/crit and aren't separate. Then there's the spirit hits/crits. If those would also be separate, it'd be super weird, for now I'd assume they aren't though, as spirit hits also deal damage. (edit: They aren't, as I thought. Adding the physical and magic hits together is the total, the spirit ones don't matter) While I haven't taken a screenshot, the ration was a bit better in the 225 arena. Maybe the school girls. Regardless of what this is, it feels rather.. consistent. Block vs. magic performs weirdly. Or the script is weird. Or resist is actually going before block, and resisted can't be blocked. That'd be.. very strange. I take some look on the script, the 'hit' in table should include all type of hit, the r50 and r75 included also, resist roll 3 times on each monster so looks high, your resist chance in statistics may be about 12% or so. And your block chance in the table is: mtblock = 43 / (43 + 37) = 53.75% ptblock = 1063 / (431 + 1063 + 467) = 54.20% not that different. I have 56% block chance in statistics but the block chance in today's lv.250 arena battle is 45%, monsters seems have high anti-block

Hello experts, is it worth it to reforge and chase penetrator 5 + spellweaver 4, when I'm having penetrator 5 + spellweaver 3 + annihilator 1 on my willow staff of destruction? In other words will there be a significant difference between spellweaver 3 and 4? My daily routine is clearing arenas and ring of blood. I might try grind fest if I have more time later tho. My current prof factor is 0.651. As there will be a patch replacing the existing potency later this year, I'd like to save some credits to activate the elemental proficiency perk if one level of spellweaver won't make huge impact. (I'm not doing IW myself but paying to IW shop for this) Thank you (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

I'm using Pen5Spel3Arch1, and on arena's that's excellent. PFFEST as mage is just brutal.

Reasonably speaking at which level mediocre 1h+power is becoming useless? Is mage really inevitable?
I'm tired getting smacked around by konata, she is laughing smugly at me.

it's never useless. Mediocre 1h + power can get you to lv 500 with ease. Schoolgirl arena's are a bit nasty, but you can play the 1st and 2nd on low difficulty. Also, you should use Vital Strike on the SG's. Mage is not inevitable. But if you want to play faster and if you want to invest a lot of credits on your gear, then Mage will be faster at clearing the arenas.

QUOTE(sharmy @ Jan 3 2022, 05:48) DW-Heavy works better in SG-arena, but if you want best performance, you need to become Staff-Mage.
Which weapon combinations work best for fast DWD clear times when dual wielding, Rapier+Axe? Also, I have enough magnificent shade equipment to go full shade, too. Should I switch or keep power when running DW? Which equipment types should I look out for if I decide to switch to staff-mage in the future?

DW is more for fun than for speed. But if you want to optimize for DW speed: go for a club of slaughter + rapier of balance. Use shade of the shadowdancer if you can. Power armors won't work on DW, at least not very well. 1h heavy is not that slow, and you can learn to use Vital Strike an OFC to their fullest potential. At your level, imperil is also available, which will speed up any style, including 1h heavy. Mage? well, you need a matching staff for starters. but this is an expensive switch.

To be fair, there is no cheap way to make things go fast. The school girl arenas either need a change or will always be a bit of a pain with limited returns. (aka trophies) I'm now sitting at 9215 base damage 1h/heavy with DD1 and would say that's fairly heavy hitting for my level. (386) But that requires decent gear, and about 25 million credits for the damage boosts. (upgrades, DD1, possible prices for gear not included) It is what it is though right now. Want trophies? Have fun with damage sponge school girls. Making that faster is going to be expensive, no matter what. 1h should still be on the cheaper side, if you consider the speed you get for what amount of credits, but it's not cheap per se. Slight rant incoming. You may ignore: Outside of the obvious trophy gains, the level 225+ arenas are pretty bad. Not even the higher exp modifier is that great, because of the lower normal enemy density. I'd love some changes with them personally, though I understand that Arenas were already changed not that long ago and got better. Outside of the removal of low level arenas. That makes getting to higher level arenas quite a bit worse. The level 50 to 90 arenas have 8 enemies in the final round with the last round drop bonus making them actually quite nice even in comparison to higher level arenas. Most of them have less final round normal enemies, especially past 180. The normal enemy frequency per round is also not worse. Like dwd has 4 (plus school girls that however neither give much exp, nor normal drops), level 180 has 5.35. In comparison, Level 50 to 90 have 5.66 /5.46 /5.45 /5.44 /5.4 avg enemies per round. Can't really play what's not there anymore though, regardless of how nice these arenas actually were if you'd play them on pfudor. So it's either trophies and school girl arenas, or gfest and a LOT more normal drops. From my 1h style, a single dwd of focused active play takes as much time as a passive "hover-play and buff when buff runs out" of 150 rounds pfest. 3 times the normal enemies in pfest compared to dwd in the same time and it needs a lot less attention. ... I still do my school girls arenas though. Regardless of how adamant the dwd arena is with its useless magnificent clear bonuses and how I don't really have any use of the trophies... Hi, I have a question regarding weapon choice (playing heavy 1H style): At the moment i am level 223 and i still have a 139 weapon. Here are my choices at the moment (IMG:[ i.imgur.com] https://i.imgur.com/LVL4nxe.png) I lose a lot of parry but i win a lot of weapon damage. How do you balance that ? Do you have some threshold for stats like parry/block to keep at a minimum ?

Do you have some threshold for stats like parry/block to keep at a minimum ? you solve the loss of parry by killing the monsters. But at your level, you should be able to use exquisites and magnificents. If needed, shrine some trophies (noodly), there is a fair chance that you'll get something better than that superior. Slaughter is best, in any case. for 1h playstyle, block is your means of survival. Get a decent shield. If needed, use a Noodly to shrine for a shield of your level. Go for the highest block that you can get.

So, I have been trying out rapier+shield and optimizing my power armor and got my DWD clear time down from 65+ to 50 minutes which is much better than before but it still feels slow. I doubt I can get another huge jump like that without massive credit investment, though so I'm happy. I did not realize that counter attacking gives overcharge even in spirit stance so that was also a nice surprise.

What weapon element is recommended for 1H? Currently using void weapon but it's only exquisite. Is holly or dark good? I saw some people selling legendary with those element so I was wondering if I should pick it up

Hello, Is there a limit on how many restoratives of a kind you can use in a battle?
I was in Isekai upgrading a legendary helmet and 3/4 in I became unable to use spirit draughts, I though I had used all of them, but looking after the battle I still had ten in my inventory.
Sorry if this question has already been answered, but I was unable to find anything in the wiki nor the forums.

Items that drop in battle aren't added to your inventory until the battle is over. You used up all your spirit draughts, and then it added the 10 you found after the battle was over.

Oh, that explains it, thank you Nezu, you are always helping. Also thank you for the hardware market I would be really poor without it, although I invested in Noodly appendages just before the price crashed haha, I hope it somehow rises again. Effectively doesn't matter, as long as it's Item World 10. Dark and Holy perform minorly better against school girls (though it doesn't affect Vital Strike, your main way of dealing with those), while elemental performs usually very minorly better in non school girl arenas/GF/IW. It's within margin of error though. Elemental strikes are fairly whatever, as they don't apply to skills, counters, nor do they care about crits. And the void one, the most important one, you get with IW 10 anyway. I'd argue the element of your weapon is a luxury problem you don't have to care about when you still sit on an exquisite weapon. That's WAY WAY too early. QUOTE(Justlookingfortheway @ Jan 10 2022, 09:03) So, I have been trying out rapier+shield and optimizing my power armor and got my DWD clear time down from 65+ to 50 minutes which is much better than before but it still feels slow. How do you play? I don't remember ever needing that much time. Obligatory hints: -Use Monsterbation hover. Put something like Vital Strike on right click: Impulse(Cast('Vital Strike')) Wheel up and down should be by default on Imperil / Weaken. -Make sure to either imperil or penetrate armor (preferably twice if pen armor) a school girl, before using Vital Strike on them while they are stunned. -Get/Use Orbital Friendship Cannon. When you aren't that strong yet, you can use that every round past 60, to make things go faster. Don't forget to be in spirit stance for it. Cannon isn't that expensive. Should be within 400k credits on HVMarket in case you don't have it. Generally very useful for 1h, not just with DWD. Also the lower the amount of upgrades on gear, the more an upgrade gives. So even if it's gear you may not care about that much, getting just +5 on important values is not that expensive and is a good boost. No need for bindings there. Just did a quick check and upgrading a leg rapier to +5 on damage, hit, crit, parry, strength and dex costs about 80k credits. Again, HVMarket. Power armor is tricky, as even +5 would add quite a bit of cost because of the repurposed actuators. Checked a random leg power I have, and upgrading the useful things (aka not elemental mitigation) would run for a good 250k, per piece. Market price fluctuations happen. Could be cut down, by only doing damage, phys defense and PABs to 175k ish. Even though that removes 6 out of 11 stats, the price isn't changing much, due to the rare material necessary for a "higher than currently highest upgrade". Of course it could also be your connection, in which case alt.hentaiverse.org could maybe help a bit. But generally speaking, the more you invest into getting stronger, the more expensive it gets. >50 minutes sounds very scary though.

Yeah I just checked. 90m in December and 75m in 2020. I wonder what's affecting the price. Is it a record number of players grinding creds or bitcoin price. Dollar inflation helps lowering the price? Who knows.

I want to know if I can make use of this staff I got from isekai last season: https://hentaiverse.org/equip/278119647/f6d9b0fbb7 (Peerless Hallowed Katalox Staff of Destruction). I am aware it isn't the best staff for holy or for dark, and I am also aware that zebra mage doesn't perform all that well either, at least compared to the best holy setup. I am wondering, given around 50m credits, say, could I create a mage set with this staff that would perform better than my current fire mage setup, or would I be better served with extra forging on my current set, or saving up for DD2? I'm interested primarily in realtime clear speed. The following is my current setup: https://hentaiverse.org/equip/232748419/3021d2fb4f (Legendary Fiery Willow Staff of Destruction) https://hentaiverse.org/equip/276942226/9a89a8ddac (Legendary Charged Phase Cap of Surtr) https://hentaiverse.org/equip/242231266/de9cbd72bd (Legendary Charged Cotton Robe of the Elementalist) https://hentaiverse.org/equip/243567537/dd49fbe18e (Legendary Charged Phase Gloves of Surtr) https://hentaiverse.org/equip/182646210/c7e119a030 (Legendary Charged Phase Pants of Surtr) https://hentaiverse.org/equip/202766155/a1909f4164 (Legendary Charged Phase Shoes of Surtr) As it stands I can reliably get to round 80 of a 100-round PFUDOR item world (with scrolls), and I can clear the whole thing about 50% of the time.
