QUOTE(TeKett @ Dec 31 2021, 16:44) What are some good build to get past the level 250+ wall? Usually go for a mage build as its super faster up to 250 but past that i hit a wall and it takes forever to level up. I have tried to dabble into DW and H1+shield but felt it was not as good to invest the time into. Obviously im doing something wrong seeing how far behind i get in isekai.
1H+Power is arguably the best style (in terms of safeness and possibility of playing at harder difficulties, not quickness obv.). Either 1H or DW with Shade are also very good. The reason you didn't feel so is probably that your 1H/DW proficiencies are too low; that makes it impossible for the slotted 1H/DW Damage ability to trigger. One thing to remember when you change style and/or build, even if you have the level to unlock and slot the relative abilities that doesn't mean they are activated. You also need a minimum prof. level for those abilities to be working. To activate just the first level of 1H/DW damage for instance, iirc you also need to have the 1H/DW proficiency above 100 (not just your level) !! 1H = One handed weapon with a Shield in your offhand slot Power= Heavy armor, specifically power armor.

1h heavy is easiest. Get a good shield and hide behind it

To my knowledge, block works against any and all "magic".
So, when I looked at my statistics yesterday and today, I realized that block underperforms against magic. And not just a bit. While physical block is a bit above 60% (theoretical block chance of 64.4%, a bit lower because of block ignore some enemies have), but magical block is only around 40%. While not thousands of attacks like physical, it's still hundreds of casts. (one time GF of 350 rounds, once 150 rounds) For reference, resist seems to work roughly as my chance says.
Got me curious. Are some special nukes of monsters ignoring block completely?

Hi ! Anyone know how to edit Monsterbation script to change keybinds of my skills? I want to have my "warrior" skills on & é " ' keys or A Z E R but can't figure how to correctly edit the file. I have tried CODE Bind(KEY_A, Any, Cast('Shield Bash')); Bind(KEY_Z, Any, Cast('Vital Strike')); Bind(KEY_E, Any, Cast('Merciful Blow')); Bind(KEY_R, Any, Cast('Imperil')); or CODE Bind(KEY_&, Any, Cast('Shield Bash')); Bind(KEY_é, Any, Cast('Vital Strike')); Bind(KEY_", Any, Cast('Merciful Blow')); Bind(KEY_', Any, Cast('Imperil')); But none of these work. #2 give me an error like "invalid key". As far as i know there is only conter resist and counter parry, no "counter block". Also I think block applied before resist. So seems like some monsters cheating? Or maybe schoolgirls can attack through block with some skill. Interesting... There is "Anti-Block" in monster parameter. Still it doesn't answer why you had this odd results with magic spells. Now i'm curious too, i'll look my results next time. QUOTE(log1c692018 @ Jan 1 2022, 23:33) Anyone know how to edit Monsterbation script to change keybinds of my skills?

Question. Which shield is recommended for 1 hand handed and heavy armor build?
Buckler? Force field? Or Kite shield?

Ooh, okay. Also is it worth to soulfuse a magnificent shield? Or should I look for legendary instead?

As far as I know it's: Evasion -> Block -> Resist in terms of magic mitigation. So with the summery at the end, you just add all hits, crits and resists together and compare it to the block. Can do the same for phys, as I'm pretty sure parry is before block. That said, it might be that for whatever reason spells resisted are also counted as hit or crit. Regardless, figured I'd take a screen. This is for the level 200 arena. So, here you can see, that phys block works more or less how it should with a good 64% block rate. If magic is all counted separately however, 56 hits vs 43 blocks is weird. Even if that's not how it works though, 45hits vs 43 blocks is still weird. I should also note that from what I checked, the resist ration would be too high for my resist, if the r50 and r75 values would also count as hit/crit and aren't separate. Then there's the spirit hits/crits. If those would also be separate, it'd be super weird, for now I'd assume they aren't though, as spirit hits also deal damage. (edit: They aren't, as I thought. Adding the physical and magic hits together is the total, the spirit ones don't matter) While I haven't taken a screenshot, the ration was a bit better in the 225 arena. Maybe the school girls. Regardless of what this is, it feels rather.. consistent. Block vs. magic performs weirdly. Or the script is weird. Or resist is actually going before block, and resisted can't be blocked. That'd be.. very strange. This post has been edited by killi890: Jan 2 2022, 14:13

I use a Mace+Heavy Armor and can play on PFUDOR without much issue but it takes way too long to kill the schoolgirls in the higher arenas, DWD alone takes me 70+ minutes. Which weapon should I switch to get below 60 minutes or more? My mace is already hollowforged, I never play without infusions and always have heartseeker and imperil up. It got a bit better once I reached level 310 and can cast imperil without cooldown but it's still a grind. I would prefer to stick with melee over magic, though. Also, is there a specific elemental strike I should aim for when item worlding ethereal weapons and how useful is holy/dark imperil or should I leave that alone until I'm at a level where I can fully upgrade these?

DW-Heavy works better in SG-arena, but if you want best performance, you need to become Staff-Mage. You should leave it at iw9, then you can choose two strikes freely. If you care the cost of infusions, any element strike should be ok to you because iw's cost is much higher.

Resist is rolled 3 times, which might be why you're seeing a higher resist rate overall than you're seeing on your sheet. I think you guys are probably just working with slightly too small sample sizes... but I'd be interested in seeing a couple grindfests of data averaged out. I can't recommend DW heavy to low levels unless they have some good quality power equipment and plenty of forge materials lying around... and maybe some DD levels. lol This post has been edited by Nezu: Jan 3 2022, 05:02

Is Butcher/Overpower a decent goal for a potencies on a Peerless Rapier of Slaughter? Or should I keep trying for Butcher/Fatality? I bet there's been exhaustive analysis on this, but I couldn't find it searching in this thread. Apologies if i just missed it. Additional context if it matters: I haven't upgraded to a new weapon in persistent in a long time, been using a heavily forged, soul fused nimble rapier (and suboptinal but also heavily forged Power Armor and a decent Force Shield). I'm basically able to play everything on PFUDOR just fine, without having to think very hard about it (which I value). But based on what others describe, much slower than is normal. Stamina is almost never my limiting factor, just time. Finally decided to try and switch to a slaughter rapier, and bought myself a peerless rapier of slaughter. This means I need to think about IW potencies carefully for the first time in years. I find I'm not clear on Overpower Counter-Parry, as it relates (or doesn't) to 1H Counter-Attack Counter-Parry. The wiki doesn't actually help here. No actual details on Counter-Parry between Overpower and Overwhelming Strikes. My best guess is that Overpower and Overwhelming Strike Counter-Parry bonuses stack additively, not multiplicatively. Meaning you could have wasted stacks with Overpower, but would reach higher levels of counterparry on average, since you'd have some Counter-Parry even without Overwhelming Strikes stacks. Many thanks in advance for any clarification on that, as well as just raw analysis of Overpower vs Fatality with a Rapier of Slaughter. Here's my gear if anyone really wants to dig in and critique it all. But I already know that the armor isn't great. I made a bad investment in Bindings of Slaughter, and just went with what I had. Mostly I just want advise on the potencies for the new rapier. Shiny new rapier: Peerless Fiery Rapier of Slaughter Lvl447, IW 2, PXP 376, ADB 100%, Parry 100%, Str 100%, Dex 100%, Agi 100% Legendary Arctic Rapier of the Nimble Soulbound, IW 10, forged 97, ADB 26%, Parry 76%, Str 24%, Dex 84%, Agi 68% Legendary Cobalt Force Shield of Protection Lvl 402, Dex End Agi, IW 9, forged 48, BLK 95%, Pmit 71%, Mmit 33%, Dex 66%, End 57%, Agi 70% Legendary Cobalt Power Helmet of Warding Soulbound, IW 10, forged 27, ADB 80%, Str 14%, Dex 83%, End 65%, Pmit 80%, Mmit 99%, Phy CC 29%, Phy CD 64%, Crus 71%, Slas 17%, Pier 25%, Burden 86%, Interf 95% Legendary Cobalt Power Armor of Protection Lvl 386, IW 10, forged 30, ADB 66%, Str 25%, Dex 66%, End 3%, Pmit 21%, Mmit 22%, Phy CC 71%, Phy CD 82%, Crus 64%, Slas 89%, Pier 46%, Burden 62%, Interf 73% Legendary Zircon Power Gauntlets of Warding Soulbound, IW 10, forged 25, ADB 91%, Str 37%, Dex 10%, End 62%, Pmit 31%, Mmit 49%, Phy CC 91%, Phy CD 46%, Crus 87%, Slas 35%, Pier 4%, Burden 10%, Interf 85% Legendary Ruby Power Leggings of Protection Soulbound, IW 10, forged 57, ADB 98%, Str 73%, Dex 55%, End 89%, Pmit 51%, Mmit 41%, Phy CC 84%, Phy CD 6%, Crus 11%, Slas 55%, Pier 79%, Burden 17%, Interf 42% Legendary Zircon Power Boots of Slaughter Soulbound, IW 10, forged 28, ADB 22%, Str 35%, Dex 45%, End 21%, Pmit 9%, Mmit 82%, Phy CC 42%, Phy CD 27%, Crus 12%, Slas 53%, Pier 79%, Burden 72%, Interf 94%

Either is fine. The short version is that besides Butcher, none of the potencies provide a ton for 1H. Fatality is probably marginally better for most players (especially if Vital Strike crits aren't strong enough to kill a schoolgirl). I found Overpower to be slightly better at very high levels of damage, but I don't think there's enough data available to suggest a clear winner at lower damage, nor do I think it would be highly conclusive given the amount of variance between any two average players' gear sets. (Oh, and for what it's worth, I have no idea if it's additive or multiplicative. We have a similar unsolved case with whether the counter-resist from Focus is additive or multiplicative, which might provide some insight.)

Thank you Nezu. Appreciate the insight. Also, dammit. From Butcher 1 Overpower 1 on first IW, and i was feeling good, to B1 O1 F2 on the next pass. Snowflake, Y U so fickle?! Is anyone still actively doing IW service? Smart Search doesn't show anything recent...
