It's only me on it is some time now that Precursor Artifacts drop a lot less?
Doing all the RE, SPL and PC all days i can say that for me this is the case, is a pair of day i get none, and 30 in total in half a month, i think that some time ago it was at least 1/3 more or so.
I know it can be RNG but it never happened so much.

Hmmmm..... I have played only 1-2 Arenas a Day and 24 RE/Day on Monday-Friday and I can still collect 52 in 2 months.

QUOTE(Katajanmarja @ Dec 12 2021, 21:48) Oh, I was not thinking, "Those bastards keep pumpin’ & dumpin’!" More like, I know for a fact it happens that people give each other tips like, "The situation has changed, now is the time to get rid of your extra hath if you have any!" Business as usual.
My own assets are minimal, so getting such tips would typically earn me some hundreds or maybe thousands of extra credits. I’ve just grown curious to know better what causes the fluctuations – to understand the E-hentai economy a little bit better. Isekai season ends and beginnings are one obvious factor affecting supply and demand, and it would be fun to read an educated analysis on the hows and whys of that.
The ever-high hath price is a bit annoying after the times when I liked to buy some every now and then. But as I said, my interest is primarily "academic" in that case, too: it would be satisfying to understand the reasons behind the changes, even if there’s no profit for myself to be made. I’ve read a book or two on real-world economics (understanding many, but not all of their points). It could be nice to compare those lessons with what I can observe in this microcosmos.
If there is a reason, then it may be connected to the ever rising artifact price. Demand is big, while supply is low. Alternatively people just decided "hey, I want some perks". In the end it depends on how much people are willing to pay. QUOTE(Maharid @ Dec 13 2021, 02:07) It's only me on it is some time now that Precursor Artifacts drop a lot less?

Keep in mind, droprate is low. RE should be about half an artifact on average, while your two arenas together are less than 1 as well. So your average should be about 8-10/week. Depends on the training as well I guess, but I'd assume you have at least level 7. Fluctuations can still happen though, as the Verse RNG is very.. messy and clumpy. 2 per day on average is however lucky if anything else, given the droprate. This was exactly the sort of response I was expecting! Thank you. (What is it that causes the demand for artifacts to keep growing, then? Advanced players making more and more credits and wanting to exchange those for higher stats??) QUOTE(killi890 @ Dec 13 2021, 09:25) Fluctuations can still happen though
My playing intensity is clearly lower than among people who fluently estimate average drop rates, yet my intuition tells me that the variation is huge. Sometimes I get two or three artifacts within a couple of days, and then several days of semi-active playing may pass without a single dark blue drop. ----- QUOTE(meow_pao @ Dec 6 2021, 00:25) What I was specifically wondering (...) was whether it was the Arena, the Ring of Blood, or Grindfest that produces the greatest "return on investment" in terms of leveling up vs. time spent playing.
QUOTE(meow_pao @ Dec 5 2021, 18:05) It took me years to reach Level 300 -- although I have to admit I only do random encounters.
For me, it took only a year or so (less than 18 months in any case) of playing to reach level 300 – even though I preferred more proficiency and less experience. My strong intuitive feeling (no statistical proof here) is that arenas are the way to go. By playing random encounters or rings of blood, one simply has no way of playing enough rounds to significantly boost EXP. It is a good idea to play as many REs and Spaghettimon RoBs as possible between doing arenas, though – the credit and trophy rewards per round are much higher on those fronts. It has happened extremely rarely after the beginner stage that I’ve had spare time to play more than all the arenas during a day, so I’m not venturing to state anything about the Item World versus Grindfest question – when it comes to gaining EXP. I’d simply concentrate on IW if I wanted improved equipment and on GF if I wanted crystals for my monsters. Also, tougher arenas have an EXP MOD multiplier higher than one, while all RoBs and GF lack such a bonus. According to the wiki, the multiplier for IW is "0.8×–1.284×", so that does not sound too good either. At random encounters, the mod is huge; if we could play a new RE every five minutes, the big picture would be really different. https://ehwiki.org/wiki/Battles#Battle_ModesThis post has been edited by Katajanmarja: Dec 14 2021, 00:00

Precursors have a relatively stable price over the long-term - they're not ever-increasing - they tend to be relative to energy drink prices at the time, which fluctuate a bit based on how many grinders there are at the moment. The whole player base mostly supplies about 10-20 at any given time. As for the economy as a whole - the biggest thing to remember is HV wealth inequality is crazy and prices generally reflect the movements of the ultra-rich when they decide to stock up on things. Most prices are either stable or going downwards, with a few small exceptions, but the supply/demand is pretty well established by now. This post has been edited by Nezu: Dec 14 2021, 00:12

I get around 90 to 100 artifacts per month, doing only arenas from Killzone to PGC, and in some days I don't do all of them. I have Archaeologist 3/10 and Scavenger 15/50. To be honest, all my training is crap (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) This post has been edited by 15112006: Dec 14 2021, 01:13

Something to bear in mind when comparing GF and IW to the arenas is the number of monsters per round. Something like the first half of the rounds of an arena have only 4 or 5 monsters, and in the SG arenas it's even worse since they give less experience than regular monsters so it's more like 3 monsters per round. The average amount of monsters per round in GF and IW is higher, which makes up for the lack of exp bonus a bit.

Hello, today I had an extrange thing happen to me, as always I pressed the space key after ending a random encounter and another random encounter began inmediatly instead of sending me to the main menu.
Do you think if or how I should report it? I'm not even sure if I got the loot from both encounters, nor anything out f normal happened during them other than I had to drink an spirit potion for being careless.

Hello there, recently i sold all my OH equips and joined wind mages. well, im way 2 poor 2 upgrade those equips, Crystallized Phazon is way 2 expensive (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif) (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif) that leads to the problem. once i cleared the AR@300 and AR@400, ive got no AR to work on. Well, AR@225&250 are sort of waste of time. with mage's aoe, theres no difference between 1~3 legendary monsters, that takes me 3k+ rounds, half an hour. Previous ones and farm for exp&proficiency? not worthy (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) with out those tanky and powerless legendary monsters, i have to use ME and SE to heal. and advice? edit: current equips attached (IMG: https://forums.e-hentai.org/index.php?act=Attach&type=post&id=159736&filename=ae.png) This post has been edited by black footed cat: Dec 15 2021, 00:00

Try to find a tempestuous wakizashi of the nimble and a buckler of the barrier, so you can do non-SG arenas and IW as 1H mage. Or lower the difficulty to do non-SG arenas. Less exp per round, but the rounds will go by quickly. Try 225 and 250 arenas on normal difficulty to get the trophies faster. Especially 250, that one gives nearly as many as 300 and 400. Also make sure you've read Nezu's awesome guide

Yeah, forging costs a lot. But you probably can't play mage comfortably without burning money.

true But you can already play the basic arena's comfortable with a relatively cheap set, let's say 20-40m investment This post has been edited by Noni: Dec 15 2021, 09:14

250 is actually pretty good credits / round. Of course clearing more arenas takes more time, it's all about how much time and stamina you want to spend. Either way, arenas are likely to be your best bet.

With typical 1h melee, these take 15 minutes. Not like you gotta mage everything. Persona and such exist for a reason.

Soulfuse the Robe, which provides you the most Stats from from all the 5 Pieces, it's about 100 Level below your current Level now. Forge the Prof. of the Gloves, maybe 25 Times. Forge the MDB of the Staff as much as you can.

Peerless drops are like any other equipment drops, correct? I could get them from RE, Arena, etc. if I am lucky enough with the rolls?
I just recently got a Peerless Shortsword as an arena bonus drop, but when looking at its stats I noticed that it's not exactly much better than what I am using now. Though to be fair, my Legendary-tier Rapier has been upgraded over the last year or two.

Yes, peerless equips can drop from anywhere but it's just several times more rare to get a peerless. They have 100% rolls in everything, but some stats grow very slowly or have pretty narrow ranges so they might not be that big of an improvement over a decent legendary weapon. That said depending on the drop they might be "definitive" equips so it might be worth upgrading to a peerless, if only for the psychological effect of not having to worry about changing the equip anytime soon.

Really? I'm forgot that they'd still have burden and interference effects. I've been slowly upgrading my Rapier and even started working on the IW of the Peerless equipment I have, though none of the Peerless stuff is soulfused. Are Rapiers still the definitive weapons for one-handed, shield fighters using power armor? Should I stick with my Legendary Rapier and just continue to upgrade it? Shortswords work quite well too, at least with imperil. Imperil is basically mandatory since you don't get the armor penetration from rapier. You would want the shortsword with slaughter suffix for though, so out of those weapons the rapier is the best.

Before that's a real thing, we'd need a patch for melee deprec hitrate. As it is, you miss so damn much, it'd be little more than one hell of a frustrating experience. Don't get me wrong. If Imperil hits, it's good. This "if" is just way too rare for melee. Though perhaps people can get used to it. I'd argue, when it comes to 1h melee, any weapon but Wakizashi (that's for 1h mage) would be ok, if Imperil could hit more than 60% of the time. You don't really need the parry as 1h, so even a Club or Axe could be fine. Most of your parry comes from Dex anyway, and you have all the block in the world. There's however still the ugly bleed overwriting thing. Vital Strike's bleed gets overwritten by a weapon proc. That'd need to get fixed as well. Until then, everyone is going to continue to Rapier. No reliance on Imperil, that never hits. No problems with Vital Strike's bleed.
