QUOTE(amaimono @ Sep 17 2021, 07:01) How much attack speed do I need to safely exploit FUS RO DAH?
I only use FRD in one round for one specific arena but I can tell you that so far 20.9 speed runs at a deficit of overcharge of around 1 pip (25 OC) so you most likely need 25% to break even, possibly 30+ to be on the safe side. EDIT: Upon further research it seems to be 32% speed gives you possibly 13 attacks so you could go a bit lower than that to get your min 12, definitely a whole lot more than 25% that's for sure. Thanks a lot! I'm currently at 31.1%. At that speed, sometimes I lack a single hit to fully recoup the overcharge and no time at all to recast buff. So just a little further, it seems. I'm thinking of abusing FRD to complete item world at a higher difficulty. Just too cheap to pay for potions (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) This post has been edited by amaimono: Sep 18 2021, 12:00

Just too cheap to pay for potions (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) The thing is that speed might be more of a gradient given the differences in monsters, chaos upgrades and stuff so there's always the chance even 32% could not be enough. And just be wary of the cost of Amnesia Shards, which could make it more expensive and tiring than just sending it to a IW service. In any case good luck. What's the peerless drop rate? I'm nearing 500 and have yet to get one.

@Pretty anon: Good point about monster's attack speed. I totally neglected that. PFUDOR will always be off limits then. As for IW services, being a new HV player (despite my account age), I've only found out about it after I soulbound everything (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif). So maybe next time, then. In any case, thank you for all the advice. I really appreciate it! QUOTE(tedd c @ Sep 19 2021, 10:07) What's the peerless drop rate? According to the wiki: CODE Drop chance on Hell: 1 in 1,000,000 Drop chance on Nintendo: 1 in 333,333~ Drop chance on IWBTH: 1 in 200,000 Drop chance on PFUDOR: 1 in 100,000 At your level, I'd say your best bet is to keep doing A Dance with Dragons and Post Game Content since they're guaranteed to drop tier 7 equipment(s) clear bonus (meaning you'll get a magnificent quality at the very least). CODE A Dance with Dragons 1x Tier 7 Equipment Clear Bonus Post Game Content 2x Tier 7 Equipment Clear Bonus Secret Pony Level 3x Tier 7 Equipment Clear Bonus This post has been edited by amaimono: Sep 19 2021, 05:20

I did calculation for myself based on that info on wiki, it should drop every ~160k rounds for SG arenas(not counting arena clear bonuses) or ~120-130k rounds for IW... Ive done 46k rounds and giveup, got 40 legendaries and no peerless drop so far. For me it was easier to win lottery with 1 ticket, and even find peerless junk on bazar. Just unlocked A Dance With Dragons and died in the first few turns.
I know it's locked at PFUDOR, but how would I go about preparing to beat it.
I still have no idea what to do other than grind the Arena and hope for the best.

The only thing you need to prepare is good/excellent/top-match equipments. If you play in melee style, get a good shield and weapon first. Post your equipments in use for detail advice if you need.

Post your equips, stats (if you don't care), and abilities, etc here. Some experienced players will take a look. They are good at estimate your current strengths and weakness and give you applicable suggestions.

I kinda hate to say it, but it essentially boils down to go 1h. Without actually REALLY good equipment, that's the most successful style. With 1h you get yourself a rapier with dark or light strike, a shield, upgrade block/parry, and equip as much power armor as you can (min exquisite quality). Good to go. Haven't tried it with shade armor (aka light), but that might also work. Less counters, but it's more about living anyways. Also get the pony cannon if you don't have it yet. The tanky school girls on pfudor are giving you a full CD recovery past round 60, so you can use it every round. Given my level, I'm in a pretty similar spot, and the arena for me is just one thing: Time consuming and requiring active play. But there's essentially no way to die. I find that the very first round of an arena is usually the most troublesome. Don't hesitate to chug those potions and even elixirs. Another thing, be sure to max out Haste in addition to Protection, Shadow Veil, Spark of Life, and Regen and have them all always active. Monsters get 25% bonus attack speed at PFUDOR and without Haste, it'd be overwhelming especially at latter rounds where you face 9 enemies at once.

For my monster lab, should I purposely keep some monsters on the lower levels to farm low/mid-grade materials? Or does the real money come from the various bindings and special materials that could be gathered and sold in packs?

To actually get to a level where monsters fight and give you more stuff, you'd need to invest MILLIONS. Something around 600 crystal packs, per monster. That's over 12 million credits. The monster lab is currently very screwed up, and as far as I've heard it's a known issue. So the best currently seems to be to just get low level stuff. I have not seen a connection between level and bindings. Case in point, my little alligator (pl 26) just brought me a binding of destruction. If you have money to burn, PL 750 can be interesting, but it's not gonna pay for itself. That takes 23 packs = 500k. This post has been edited by killi890: Sep 22 2021, 14:46

Drop of bindings in monster lab are not dependent on monster PL; just read the wiki. Only materials tier (i.e. HG vs. MG vs. LG) depends on monster PL. That said, higher PL monster have some chance to bring gifts more times (instead of the usual once-every-3-days) simply because they have more chance to be selected for battles (and win tem). But the drop chance is exactly the same as for low monsters. Pushing up monsters' gift chance by using tokens is also possible, but overall a loosing strategy if you still haven't unlocked all the monsters' slots.

hi with soul fusing does the level of the equipment matter ?
eg if i had 2 identical prefix/suffice peerless weapons one at 250 and one at 500, would both have identical stats when fused and both at 500 ?

Should I invest in the 'Thinking Cap' hath perk to have increased EXP gains, or would it be wiser to save my hath for a more expensive perk later on?

I am wondering whether I should sell my 40+ Precursor Artifacts for 21k each or should I offer them to Snowflakes in hope for +1 stat/Energy Drink ????

Oh, and if you want Peerless, I recommend you farming on RE@PFUDOR I got one on the second week after farming for 24x/Day, 5 Days/Week (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) And you can look my level too, very very low (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) This post has been edited by Adhinferno Bloodmoon: Sep 23 2021, 05:02

Depend on your goal, if you want to reach lv.500 quickly or want to get 600 prof. You'd better have 'Thinking Cap', even other exp. hath perk. Shrine them if you want to farm hv a long time. Sell them if you plan to quit or just do RE routinely.
