Recently i found that i could finish the PFU SG arenas with my trash dark mage build (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
(with a lot of mana potion and some spirit potion used, no need of spirit elixir)

Although my current build does satisfact my needs of a faster arena run, i'm trying to discover further potential of the mage style and maybe save some potions, so here is my question

Ether/Spirit Theft ability sounds pretty good, does it worth to spend a few ability points and cast on SG or boss?

No, that sounds pretty bad because you need to cast Drain, waste of time
If you do care the potion and don't care the time, choose Staff of Focus

... on the other hand, ripened soul still means some damage more, so feel free to slot it. maybe a small improvement, but still an improvement

Is there a forum that lists all the best equipment tiers and loadouts for players?

I always end up forgetting which suffixes are more important than others. I.E. Force Shield of (Protection, Warding, Deflection) Which is better to use?

For force shield I think Dampening is the most demanded but IMO not worth the premium price...
Generally speaking only Block and PAB that are important...
Any prefixes and suffixes will do...

Just try to sell some stuff on Isekai today and realize that Moogle doesnt' allow me to attach stuff.

So I have some questions to ask:

1. Is Moogle is the only way to trade stuff between players ?

2. Do I have to purchase a star just to sell stuff in Isekai ?

Going off the chart, and the capped Equipment Storage forcing a reroll for the other side, does this mean that if I complete an Arena I can get a potion instead of an Equip item, or is the roll treated differently in that circumstance?

The battle clear bonus is always an equipment, and the quality depends on the arena, with higher level arenas giving higher quality equipment (DWD and higher give a minimum of magnificent). And if by 'capped equipment storage' you mean when you have no more space (as in, 1000 out of 1000 slots used), then any equipment you get from battle or shrine will instead be auto-sold and will not appear in the bazaar

That used to be the case, but not anymore, and that particular page on the wiki hasn't been updated for a pretty long time so I don't know which parts are still accurate.

Blast, there goes my plans for Artifact and Token domination. Ah well, thanks anyway for the clarification.

shadowdancer is optimal, but fleet is not bad at all. And arcanist, peerless arcanist, is the ultimate collectors item if you like high PXP. But also usable as place-holder until you can afford a shadowdancer

There are no styles that really use arcanist optimally, nor does it offer any particular benefits to any cohesive playstyle.

Is there any way to complete arenas faster? They take so much time, especially the latter levels with a lot of mobs and a lot of rounds. Like is there a way to autocomplete or something?

I don't know how people do it, even if I one shot every mob, it's still a long chore.

If you are indeed one-shotting every monster then there's no way it can be considered slow or a chore (compared to normal in-game time standards)
The problem may be a real-time issue due to a slow connection. Start by checking the t/s stat of your arena clears, as shown in the image.



If you're not using the monsterbation script yet, you can get it here: Monsterbation
Using the script's hover fuction might also make it a little faster (or at least contribute to preserving sanity)

If that's not the reason, then I'm afraid you're just too demanding for a grindy game such as this one. Since you're already one-shotting monsters then further increasing damage won't make it faster. All you can do is change your fighting style to Two-Handed or Niten, so you attack more than one monster at a time.

There is no way to complete any battle mode automatically without breaking any rules.

If you post your gear and fighting style, we can maybe give advise on how you might be able to improve equipment/targeting

There isn't any play style which use Arcanist, but Arcanist's Item World provides the most player Exp.
If you want to gain more Exp. after you finish all Arenas, you may choose Arcanist's Item World for more Exp.

AFAIK 1H mage uses cloth armor instead of arcanist because otherwise they won't have enough firepower...

Yeah, 1h mage uses normal mage cloth (preferably radiants + proficiency slots), and a matched suffixed waki (of nimble or of battlecaster preferably), and a buckler (of barrier), preferably dex end agi

Even with that, the lack of damage from not having a staff is huge so you need to have it from your cloth, and as you need a full set of armour because of abilities, it's either all arcanist or all cloth. There's not really any use for arcanist in mage gear

The reason 1h mage works well is because of stuns from block, so even doing staff + arcanist is likely to be less damage and less survivability

The style is about being faster than melee (for normal non boss content), but tanky enough that even on pfests you don't need scrolls, and can clear it comfortably
