Yup, just like i assumed. People are often so worried about fire and holy that they overlook elec. Was the same for me, but i havent checked the elemental damages in over a year, so i thought i just mention it as a example so i would be able to say that it was just a random choosen element. Guess now i missed the change to look prophetic because i wanted to avoid the chance of been wrong. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Tried in arena 65 too just in case the previous result was a fluke...

Keep in mind that with the new Zircon boots you'll be gaining about 20% Holy and losing about 20% Fire.

Since combining elemental mitigations from multiple pieces of equipment is multiplicative, you get diminishing returns the more resistance you already have for that element, so I'd go with Cold over Electric.

What's a decent clear time for pfudorfest as elemental mage and as 1H melee?

By decent I mean, what clear times are acceptable if I'm poor but do everything else correctly (use scripts, consumables, am not retarded, etc).

I see. So I suppose I did decently on my first ever full pfudorfest (also my first ever full grindfest) that I finished a few days ago taking exactly the average between two and a half and three hours to complete.

What about ele mage, though? Is 1 hour a decent time for them? Also are dark/holy mages faster on fests than elemental? I know they're faster in arenas, at least the schoolgirl ones.

Yeah, that is a decend time, fast would be everything below two hours but you also need quite some DD for pulling that off. Elec mage, i have no idea, i dont play elemental mage. I go ask someone.

edit: So i was told a decent time for elec mage is 45 min.

When I salvage an equip, 90% of the forge materials will be returned right?

1. I know catalyst will not be returned, then how about binding of xxx, high-grade cloth, and phazon?

2. When 90% will be returned, is it return by ceiling? For example, if the equip is forged with binding of slaguhter to level 10, if I salvage it, I got 9 back, clear. What if it is forged to 9, so 9*90%=8.1, do I get 8 or 9 back? What if it is forged to 11, so 11*90%=9.9, do I get 9 or 10 back? Is the decimals round up or down?

I ask this because forging phase is too expensive, I am considering only forge cloth and staff, leaving all the phase unforged, as I will only do arena for now. If I forge to level 9 and will get 9 back if I salvage, then I will forge the phase, otherwise forging my poor roll phase is not a wise decision.

My 3 phase of surtr cost me 4m, so 1.33m each on average, low roll trash lol, so seems not worth forging.

1H, with shit equip 4~5hours, 2.5-3 hours should be the average for most with braindead playstyle.
For mage, I believe around 1 hour is what relatively attainable with most people means (2-3 mid percentile charged gear, DD 1~2, 10~25 forge on phases)

I cant speak for other styles, but holy you really need good equipment and a lot if not all DD to clear PFest. And that good equipment is rare and a lot of really rich people want it. So dont go holy, dont even think about it. I havent cleared even a single PFest with my mage set so far. IFest i am doing just fine, but PFest? Nope, just nope.

With top-match gears, holy/dark performs better. With "average" gears, they perform worse.

With average of gears that could clear it.
as the range for mage gear is so vast (price and performance wise).
And by "could clear it" I also means reliably, not the one that makes you scratch your head bald in the last 300 round only for trying to survive.
That would also means a "top tier" for the general mage gear might also be the average for the gear that could clear pffest.
I mean, what are you expecting for, it is literally the end of the road of HV's challenge before 10b introducing isekai's tower..
