That's not how the Strongest command works, even less what it's meant to do.
Strongest will only ever perform ONE action, whichever is available.

At best, you can try using the Strongest action to bind two items for the same key, so that you can use both by pressing the key twice. Dunno if it will work though.

it does work, I use right click for healing potions/spells, Z for draught/scroll rebuff and X for mana potion and elixir
that's how I actually manage to burn my entire health potion supply a week ago, it has priority over spells

I dont think you should even play as a mage when you are not be able to set enough ability points into a spell to max them out.

Light armor is already very defensive so you should go for savage.
Club+rapier should be the best, stunned=less dmg taken and no need for overpower so you can have better iw.

I was still playing mage around his level, it's fine for where he's at, though other options may be superior. The difficultly with lower level maging pops up when you crank the difficultly to IWBTH or PFUDOR. I was able to play on Nintendo up to about 280, but if you want to level faster, maging is going to be really difficult at lower levels, just because it's hard to find gear, it's expensive to forge, and without that you are going to get Sparked almost every round, which is not sustainable. It's fine for where he is, you can totally make it work, just not on the hardest difficulties from my experience.

But I started wondering again. I may have asked this but I don't remember.

Does archmage calculate in at base, and multiplied by the DD perk?

Maybe with a DD mulitplier @ 1.4, would archmage be worthy instead of penetrator's counter-resist?

Or is it possible if I start thinking I "want" archmage, RNG will give me spell/pen??

There have been rumors, yes. But the way you play, it really doesn't matter. Dude, PFfest with gum + vase?! Just go unforged. Or economizer5. Difference will be seconds.

I think spellweaver is overrated if you play no imp. Action speed is generally bad for clear speed because it makes your skills cd longer. The defense you gain maybe able to offset the speed lost so you save some potions in the end.

As long as you have pen5+archmage+spellweaver you are fine.

So lately I've sort of just been grinding proficiencies at a low difficulty to minimize xp gain and maximize proficiency gain, but some day I'm gonna want new gear.
How exactly do I go about that to the greatest efficacy? What should I be spending my trophies on? Do I pretty much have to fight as much as possible and pray?

This doesnt work anylonger. You proficiency gain is now calculated by the Xp you gain. Gain less XP means also gain less proficiency. So in the end you can get every level just get Y proficiency, no matter what difficulty you are playing on. And if you actually want more proficiency for you XP, your only choice is to train Assimilator. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)
