When i should go IWBTH / PFUDOR Difficulty? Currently using NINTENDO.
I can deal with IWBTH but somewhat dangerous - Spark of life triggers a lot and i need some strategy

It depends on yourself.
Higher difficulty always give you more income/exp. per stamina. But as you said, it may be unsafe and cost tons of time
Find your own comfort

If you don't have a good shield with high BLK, please try to get one, that helps a lot for survival.

That depends on your need, if you need maxium speed, it should be:
Slaughter >> Balance > Protection ≈ Warding

Elemental: 0.7
Imperil Dark: 0.8
Non-imperil Dark: 1.0
Non-imperil Holy: 1.0

In usual case, if you choose to wear unforged gear, 3+2 is suitable for PF = 0.7, if you choose full-forge your staff and cotton, then 4+1 is suitable for PF = 0.7.

That advice wiki page is misleading. The prof goal for elemental is 0.79, and the prof goal for imperil dark is 1.0 - the 0.7 and 0.8 come from old player opinions on what's 'good enough', rather than optimal.

Assume you'll have 610 FProf. on the charactor (555 base Prof. and Death and Decay) when you're L.500.

If you cast imperil, you need extra 900 - 610 = 290 FProf.
That equals to 290/(15*1.342) = 14.4 FProf base value on equipment.
peerless staff + peerless cap have (6.15+8.29=) 14.44, it's ok.
but usually a cotton pants is more realistic.

If you don't cast imperil, you need extra 1000 - 610 = 390 FProf.
That equals to 290/(15*1.342) = 19.4 FProf base value on equipment.
peerless staff + peerless rob have (6.15+9.89=) 16.04, it never works even if you get 660 FProf. on the charactor

Due to advice from Nezu, I'll simply recommend cotton gloves+shoes, becasue 1.0 is too hard to hit for 4+1 mage set.

If you are playing dark mage, don't bother trying to play 4+1 - it only becomes better than 3+2 at about 590 proficiency, if you have a peerless staff and a peerless cotton robe. 3+2 is very good for dark mage.

If you full-forge your gear you'll get 423.7 FProf point from your gear when you're Lv.500, that's definitely enough.

If possible, you can change your cotton pants with cotton cap or cotton gloves (gloves need FProf > 75%, probably) for better performance, but this set is good enough for a Lv.400ish mage.

what's the difference between using cotton cap glove and pants. was there more prof added on cap and glove??? this cotton pan was 100% prof added, was that still not enough??
