What are figurines that I keep seeing in shops? Are they just artifacts to use at the shrine?

They drop 1-3 of a random upgrade material and a random binding when you use them in the shrine

Or you can collect them and get orbital friendship cannon skill with 21

Worth soulfusing?

And another question right away, why cannot I get butcher on it? Wasted 8 amnesia shards already, only got fatalities and overpower. Is Slaughter + Butcher not possible?

Just random, it's possible to get Butcher on Slaughter Weapon.
I think sell it in Auction and buy Legendary Longsword will be better, if you like.

Maybe, but it's complicated.

2H is good at low level and that weapon is valuable for arenas (lucky you, peerless at level 100...) but it falls off a bit higher, so it's mostly an interesting weapon to collectors. You could sell it at auction for a pretty sum - please don't take private offers on it though, there will most likely be people who will lowball you in PM for it.

You could definitely re-invest in a different style that'd last you longer, but maybe you want to be a 2H player forever, in which case, keep it and yes, soulfuse it.

As for the IW... 8 shards is nothing. There are layers upon layers of RNG involved. Don't be upset if it costs you much, much more than that.

Can you price check it? It's fine if it's your personal opinion, just interested what is the ballpark for it in general.
I think it's destiny at this point. The game tells me that I have to be 2H forever.

It's almost impossible to accurately predict the value of a peerless at any given time; they're basically priceless due to rarity, so it depends on whether there's two people who want it badly, and the size of their wallets...

In general, I'd estimate the value of a PELS to be somewhere around 15-30m, but it could go for a little less, or a lot more, depending on luck.

Need some understanding about mage and if I should transition into it. Trying to see if it suits my playstyle.

So ever since i got those scripts working it help quite abit and it has been less painful on the finger since I can just hover over to auto attack. I can manage to do PDUFOR now for the last 2/3 of the arena, last one aint open yet. But overall it still feels painfully slow. About 1 hr+ to do them and this is relying quite a lot orbital friendship cannon. Strategy is 1h rapier+shield atm since the recommendation. For just a few minions round i use auto attack/heals with spirit when i can. Once those minibosses start jumping in, i use OFC, kill minions and just stay normal and auto on the miniboss while waiting out turns for next OFC usage. Rinse repeat to the end. 2/3 arena feels much longer but using similar strat , just when 2 minibosses popping out and use OFC then kill one first then the other after. Outside of those I only do the first few arena since its short....but those longer ones with 60-90 rounds...well not so enthusiastic about doing it. It feels more painful to do deal with 7+ minions sometime than a miniboss with 2+ minion since they hurts so much and spikes so hard if i don't kill them in time.

I hear mage is the way to go, and guide says 310+ is the more ideal time? Tell me what gear I should be looking for to enable me to clear pdufor easily/quickly on this low/mid lvl range? What cycle of skills I should use, also is imperil very important?

I currently like melee cuz of the hovering/autoattack function, but mage requires more micromanagement and manual skill usage right? Or is there an autoattack + script for mage I don't know about? Can end game melee char with good power/slaughter gear out speed mages or mage is just king of speed? If melee is just a little less efficient but much less micromanagement...less painful on fingers, then I'd probably stick with it in the end. But if efficiency is too much of a difference, i need to consider mage onward.

Oh yes and dual wield. I have no clue about this playstyle, 2H is a nono for mid to end game right? Niten any good either? I've just transitioned out of 2H lately and it feels so much better now.

Oh yes this question is more for my isekai. Been trying with all my trophies to get a half decent force shield . I only see bucklers and kites wt... What is the rate difference or am i doing something wrong? I'm using every single trohpies for it though, or does force only appear after say tier 5+ trophies?

For persistent, im liquidating everything to save money for gears and hath since them trophies is unlikely gonna get me anywhere or anything decent and its probably a lot less efficient.

Lv.310 is the lowest level to become mage, if you want to play mage at a decent difficulty (eg: Nintendo/IWBTH), since 0 cooldown imperil is very very important.
My advice for a very-begin mage set

Magnificent/Legendary Shocking/Tempestous Willow Staff of Destruction (with Penetrator Lv.5)
Magnificent/Legendary (any) Phase of Mjolnir/Freyr (3PABs)
Magnificent/Legendary (any) Cotton of Elementalist (3PABs)

It is very hard to find a staff at lv.300-400, you can use Redwood or Focus instead. But try to find a decent one, good luck.
If you want to play mage at PFUDOR, "all Legendary" is recommended. I use the set below to clear PFUDOR arena with scrolls and infusion (about 20min for Eternal Darkness sorry for my slow web speed )

Magnificent Tempestuous Willow Staff of Destruction (Lv.Soulbound, IW 9, forged 12)
Legendary Onyx Phase Cap of Freyr (Lv.345, EDB 83%, Evd 5%)
Legendary Ruby Phase Robe of Freyr (Lv.306, EDB 90%, Evd 24%)
Legendary Jade Phase Gloves of Freyr (Lv.361, EDB 48%, Evd 62%)
Legendary Ruby Phase Pants of Freyr (Lv.340, EDB 57%, Evd 78%)
Magnificent Onyx Cotton Shoes of the Elementalist (Lv.305, forged 12, EProf 0%)

Set your monsterbation as this or something alike:
hover action:
Strongest([Cast('Storms of Njord'), Cast('Downburst'), Cast('Gale')])
key bindings:
Bind(KEY_1, Any, Strongest([TargetMonster(0), Cast('Imperil')]));
Bind(KEY_2, Any, Strongest([TargetMonster(4), TargetMonster(3), Cast('Imperil')]));
Bind(KEY_3, Any, Strongest([TargetMonster(7), TargetMonster(6), Cast('Imperil')]));

Then all the thing you need to do is press 1,2,3 and then hover. (and use draughts & potion, and cure)

That's a complicated answer.

The short version is that mage mixes cottons (with their chosen proficiency) and phases (with their chosen elemental damage bonus) to maximize damage output. Spells have a 'proficiency factor' where they reduce opponent mitigation and resist chance based on how high your proficiency is, up to a cap, so mages want to get as close to that cap as possible without being wasteful & overshooting by a large margin (as that would come at the cost of phase pieces).

Because slots are not normalized, but instead have weighted stat budgets (ie robe has much higher stats than shoes), which ones you choose to be cotton and which you choose to be phase is relative to a number of factors - your current base proficiency and your future prospects. Don't overshoot and think you should pick the 'optimal' cotton shoes if you're never going to get the 580ish base proficiency because you don't have a high donation tier, awards or just a ton of time to grind, for example.

Additionally, there is a 'soft cap' and a 'hard cap' for proficiency factor. The soft cap is for imperil elemental mages, where a factor of 0.79 is enough to reduce any opponent to 0 mitigation (and while monsters can't be reduced below 0 mitigation, you can still carry on to get some counter-resist), while 1.0 is the hard cap beyond which point nobody gains anything.

Prof factor is calculated as (effective_proficiency - your_level) / your_level.

Because imperil is less effective for dark/holy, those 2 always aim for 1.0. But those 2 also can theoretically perform better in schoolgirl arenas - because schoolgirls have -1 dark/holy mitigation naturally, a dark or holy mage can equip 5 phases for those arenas and not use any prof slots at all.

Generally as a beginner mage you're going to look for a matching staff first:

- Elemental types: [Element] Willow of Destruction, [Element] Redwood of Destruction
- Dark: Demonic Willow of Destruction
- Holy: Hallowed Oak of Heimdall

Note that fire/cold get lower EDB from willow, so an arena-only mage should generally use a redwood, since the counter-resist from willow isn't as important there.

Then, you'd pick your armors. A beginner mage might use something like:
- Elemental: Cotton robe of the elementalist, the rest phase of [Element]
- Holy/dark: Cotton gloves + shoes of the [heaven-sent/demon-fiend], the rest phase of [Element]

For an elemental mage, pants are also a possible beginner choice - especially with redwood - but later on you may want to transition to using gloves or shoes, if in the far future you find you've gotten really into HV and grinded a ton of prof. But don't get too future-minded and prepare ahead by too much; by the time you get there, the cost won't matter to you anywhere near as much.

Charged/radiant prefixes are not required, but they do help a lot - particularly charged helps with survival as a beginner mage.

Finally, the basic requirements for any beginner mage - if you want reasonable performance, rather than just a sidegrade from melee - is to fully forge your staff, and the proficiency on your cotton pieces.

Don't be tempted to go holy because people on the forums circlejerk about it being the best. It's not the best unless you have a very very specific set of circumstances, which involve being extremely rich. For everyone else it performs the worst of each style, because holy has no good option for imperil staffs (short version: can only pick 2 from counter-resist, deprecating proficiency, divine proficiency/holy base damage). Other elements are equally recommended depending on how much you want to spend; fire/cold are more approachable for beginners, elec/wind cost a lot, dark is somewhere between the two.

As for what spells mages use... we have a tier 3, 2 and 1 spell that hit 10, 7 and 5 targets respectively, but these are not really micromanaged, you just use the higher tier spells whenever they're off cooldown. Yes, most mages use imperil all the time, with a few notable exceptions: ultra-ultra-rich endgame mages can play without it, although only holy performs 'better' (faster, not safer) without, and against schoolgirls, you only have to imperil them and not the normal monsters, because everything else dies from AoE.

Mages can also hover - it sounds like you're just using Monsterbation's default setup. There are significant examples in the bindings section of the script settings showing how it can be used to manage a damaging spell rotation, to apply imperil and such.

No, no melee can come even close to mage in speed; even a relatively low-investment mage can easily outperform any melee. As a DD9 dual-wield with optimal weapons, using high-quality savage slaughter armors forged to 50, I should have one of the fastest theoretical 150-round arena clears for melee... 3105 turns. Mages can fairly easily hit 2800 turns, and my holy mage set is currently doing it in 1500 while optimized for grindfest, not arena (otherwise it could be done in around 1300).

However melee has significantly better safety. Beginner mages, and any mage in grindfest, will find the constant damage spikes require an uncomfortable amount of unpredictable healing, so that can make the gameplay less fun if you prefer to braindead hover things (in which case, 1H is king).

QUOTE

Dual wield is fastest for schoolgirl arenas, niten is apparently fastest for low-difficulty normal monsters (ie arenas up to the 100-round one), 1H is fastest for IW/fest as far as we know right now. The problem is that 2H is unsafe; heavy 2H can use mace to keep things stunned, maybe, but it requires a little more care, and because of the reliance on stuns to survive, it can't really blanket imperil up front unlike the other styles who can survive fine while casting imperils.

For Plate armor, especially in Isekai mode, which primary attribute bonuses are ideal for combat? Also, for heavy armor, is it better to use a one-handed and shield combo or a duel-wielding combo?

To better explain, my current weapons are an exquisite rapier of slaughter and an exquisite mithril kite shield of warding vs. an exquisite rapier of slaughter and a magnificent shortsword of the vampire.

I'll say I never used imperil as 2H mace - heavy. It works but its slow, and you need to make back 4 pips of overcharge before the next round or things get hairy. The hardest I've done on it granted is itemworld on IWBTH. Gear was forged only to 5s, so probably would be a lot easier if fully forged. I could do all arenas and rings of blood on PFUDOR mostly without using draughts or potions, so there's that. I switched to mage in the 420s so it "works" at least to that point.

I would personally rank dex > end > str, but it's strongly opinion-based which you prefer, they're all pretty useful.

DW heavy is really only a luxury afforded to high level players fighting easy content (ie arenas); 1H heavy is by far superior in survival, and that's what you're more concerned with in isekai.

How many floors above your level are people here going in the tower? I'm on floor 43 at xl325, and it feels pretty safe but brutally slow (my rapier is so-so, though). I think I can make at least a few more with more potions and more deprecation, but...ugh. The +5 rounds/floor is a hate crime.

Currently rank 9 on floor 60 as level 360ish dual-wield, leaders are at floor 80+ and think they can do 100.

It is possible to get crazy survival as 1H, but yeah, it's pretty slow. Tenboro and I are working on approaches for mitigating the grind and re-casualizing HV without removing strategy & player skill from the equation for next season; he has a few ideas and I think it's going to converge in a design that reduces the time required as well as the difference between styles, while still pushing players to their limits to get a few floors ahead of the competition, so the future looks good right now.

(Can't reveal too much about exactly what's going on because we don't want to make promises about things that will or won't happen - there may not be time to implement anything beyond the basics, in the end.)

Neither's great so just use whatever feels immediately better. It's probably gonna be the rapier.

What difficulty level do you guys usually use when grinding through Arenas you already cleared? Or, I guess more to my needs, what would you recommend for around my level? (288 currently, on Persistent).

Particularly if I'm looking for more Tokens of Blood and maybe good equipment drops. I don't care as much about leveling faster or credit drops.

I can generally survive to the end on PFUDOR no problem these days, but it takes considerably longer to finish. I've cleared all of the Arenas I have opened (all but lvl300) on PFUDOR, but I've been going through them on IWBTH mostly since then.

Are the multipliers for PFUDOR good enough that I should be playing on that whenever I can survive instead, even it it takes me a lot longer in real time to finish each arena?

Or maybe I should be playing on an even lower difficulty so I can blow right through the arenas barely paying attention so that I can finish more of them in the limited time I have to play each day?

My suggestion, the highest difficulty you can handle easily.

If you want good equipment (not end-game legendary/peerless), level up quickly and buy is the most economic method. Level 400-500 pre-end-game equipments are very cheap.

But if you are rich, you may play any difficulty you wish, that doesn't matter because you can buy trophies to get equipments and you can buy Tokenizer hath perk to get more tokens.

There is no right answer for this. There are 4 factors to consider here. Speed (real time spent), Stamina, survivability and drop/exp rates. Speed and survivability are consequences while drop/exp rates and stamina are choices, so you basically need to choose what you want to farm followed by how fast you can do it while surviving. If you're playing for exp you always wanna be between 80-100 stamina (0.04 consumed per round) which gives you 500 rounds per day. If you don't want to level up fast, you'll play between 10-79 (0.02 consumed per round), but still using only 24 stamina, which gives you 1200 rounds per day.

The best way for you to decide the most efficient way to obtain what you want is to go to Difficulty Settings and look closely at all the multipliers.

A few pointers that are not very obvious from the wiki:

1- Equipment quality is directly affected by difficulty so if you want to try to farm good equipment, play at the highest difficulty you can on the highest arenas you can (arena level further increases the chances for better quality of completion rewards - DwD gives a guaranteed magnificent). However, as other people already stated it's much much more efficient to get credits and buy the specific gear you want from other players instead of hoping for abysmally low chances to get the perfect combination of quality, tier, prefix and sufix you want from drops.

2- One of the best ways to farm credits is is to sell SG (SchoolGirl) Trophies to other players (check out [hvmarket.xyz] HVMarket if you haven't yet). If your SOLE objective is to get credits, then the best way to go about this might be to actually play on NORMAL because difficulty doesn't affect trophy drop rate from SGs (it's a static 10% iirc). If time is a factor, you just need to test how fast you can go at other difficulties because there are other factors to maximize credits such as: difficulty credit multiplier, minimum gear quality drop affected by difficulty, etc.

This is a huge mistake btw. While I agree exp is not important (just rush until you unlock all arenas and RoB), and it's actually more beneficial to level up slowly, credits are important. Actually, they're the most important thing in HV, because you can get almost anything with it, provided you have enough of it. Tokens are also valuable for the simple reason that they can't be traded, even though they are not that hard to get. Blood tokens are just a way to get a fast chunk of credits, so the end result is the same. As for equipment, like I said it's more efficient to rely on buying it from other players.

That said, you asked a specific question and here's the answer: to farm equipment, play on the highest difficulty that you can manage (minimum Hell because "Random equipment drops can now be Legendary/Peerless quality"), starting from the highest arena going down. To farm blood/chaos tokens, play all arenas between 50-100 rounds because arena completion "Gives a 15~25% chance for a token drop. This chance increases for higher-level arenas (50~90% for 50+ round challenges)".

On a personal note, right now, to me, the most valuable items in the game are Chaos Tokens. I've decided the way to become rich on the (very) long run is to invest hard in monsters. So I'm farming the 50-100 rounds arenas everyday for the completion token reward, and I chose the difficulty IWBTH because PFUDOR requires me to pay much more attention (micromanagement) and use a lot more consumables to survive with the gear I have. I also want to level up fast until a particular level so I can equip a piece I've saved for a while, without wasting soul fragments, so I don't want to go lower difficulties. This way is fast enough for me (patience is also a factor I guess) because there are no SGs to kill in these arenas.

This is just an example of a combination of factors that I took into consideration to maximize the particular thing I want to get at the moment and my advice is that you do the same in order to decide how to play.
