In short, I click the new isekai staff in minute ago, clicked GrindFest, and my charater can't deal any damage, can't flee, can't die beacuse nobody can tack action. Completely stuck in that combat page.

About to reach level200 in Isekai with a bit more of grinding in Hellfest.

How's everyone doing so far?

I played the first few arenas on normal then went straight into Hell with Niten and Leather Armor(not sure if Niten was the best option, but got a Magnificent Ethereal Katana from shrine, so...).

Felt the pressure shift on level 150, so been gathering a 1H heavy set.

Still not good enough to take on IWBTH, but hopefully tomorrow I'll get some better equips from shrining noddles. *-*

How's everyone doing so far?

It seems a few users are already playing everything at PFUDOR and it's only a few days at most until everyone's stuck in the tower so I guess that's where the fun begins. I assume getting to floor 50 is only a matter of time for everyone trying but after that who knows.
It also feels a bit sad to know my HV level is about to be overcome by a lot of people starting from scratch in a matter of days (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)

For me it feels crazy how my persintent mage has triple the health of my 1H+shield isekai char. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)

1H feels so slow too now that I'm a full time mage. xD

Hows it going? Fucking bad LOL. Level 90 now, but my equip is all heavy with the shittiest stuff ever. Most is Average, some Fair quality. One Superior Sabaton of Warding.

But I'm Item Worlding just for fun because my equips are pure shite, I just happened to IW this Rapier (literally first rapier I found, and I had to buy it) Check it out. Got Fatality and Butcher immediately. Wow. Wish it happened on even a half decent weapon, could've carried me two hundred levels if so.

Been a while since I had gone melee, so I just followed the advice from this page and went 2H + leather.

At first I just bought the few average leather pieces available in the market and went inside normal grindfest unarmed.

I used my charges to regain some mana using Focus when there was a single monster left alive in the round, because I had no money yet to invest in mana potions/draughts.

I got a one handed weapon and a wakizashi, so I equiped both and went DW for a bit before getting a katana, and then I went Niten because some extra parry sounded good.

I was lucky enough for the Ethereal prefix, so I didn't bother doing the IW for it or for the waki.

Things got smoother once I got protection and regeneration(with protection put in the first innate arcana slot).

After I managed to get myself fully equipped I did the first page of arenas on Hell mode, and then started doing the first 100 or so rounds of Hellfest before difficulty ramped up and I had to leave or died trying to advance more.

Things got a lot harder on lvl150 when monsters got their SP bar, so I finally started trying to put together a 1H+Heavy set, but only really started using it after finishing IW the best rapier I got after reaching lvl 200.

1H+shiled lacking 200 1H proficiency isn't really optimal anyways, so I just stuck to my Niten build to finish the IW slowly on Hell difficulty.

After changing to the 1H set, I began doing the second page arenas on IWBTH to grind more XP, but it was actually quite harsh in the beginning, with spark activating a lot.

I was using a shitty 26% block buckler at first, but then I got this baby and things got a bit easier.

BTW, I was just lazy and copied the 2H persona stats, otherwise I could have invested less in AGI and would be just fine.

Are there any guides on price checking equipment/valued prefix+suffix combos somewhere or is the skill gonna come from trawling through the wiki/WTS listings?

You can always ask here, and you'll eventually learn as you go.

Basically any normal plate and leather, even if legendary, is bazaar fodder.

Cotton of protection, warding, curse-weaver, and earth-walker you sell if exquisite and below, and salvage if it's magnificent+.

Shade negation should be bazaar fodder too iirc.

Everything else is more complicated, and easier to learn with experience, and from browsing shops and seeing what they are selling.

If you're new and low level, Use Default is best, as it gives you a lot of equip to choose from. However, if you try to get one peerless voucher on isekai, then Upgrade to Tier 5 is the best total value. I use T5.

Been reading the new update notes on the forum for Persistent and Isekai, and feeling a bit overwhelmed from all the new information.

So, Persistent is the regular Hentaiverse game mode with some newly added stuff like the trophy shrining and the auto-salvage/sell.

Isekai is a new game mode, but is separated from the regular game with a new way to battle that grants a new way for rewards.

I am considering switching to the new Isekai mode to try it out, but I'm not sure at my level. I read that it sends everyone back to square one when starting out?

Also, I can always switch between Isekai and Persistent by toggling on the upper right, right?

For the vast majority of people it is better to just sell the trophies, unless you are extremely low level (below 200, let's say) or have the Follower of Snowflake perk. As everyone has FoS active in Isekai, people there must make a decision between more income, or working towards a peerless voucher. For the sake of shrine value for FoS, tier 5 is always best.

Yes to both. Isekai is a fresh character to play with seasonally (starting and ending on the solstices), but it does not affect your persistent character excepting the rewards from it.

Spark of life is better if you only have 1 slot of Innate Arcana, you won't regret it because monsters will start to hit harder with their spirit attacks. Just keep protection up manually, it doesn't cost too much mana. Always keep an eye in your spirit meter.

If you're going 1H, rapiers are way better than axes because they don't have parry and that cripples your chances of surviving and the amount of counter-attacks you can get (less damage overall). Penetrated Armor proc will offset the difference in raw attack power. If you insist on slashing damage or can't get a good rapier (like me in isekai), a shortsword is also viable.

You're still in low levels, so I suggest to try it if you can get decent weapons and light armors, then see if it suits you better than 1H/Heavy. Keep in mind that around your level these styles will start having a bad time trying to survive, most players only use DW/2H/Ninten + Light armor in low levels to speed up things or in very high levels when you have nice Shade Armor and don't have too much problem taking a few hits from monsters.

You'll be reset to square 1 on the next season, and the same for the start of every season thereafter. This is only isekai, persistent will remain the same

1. Yes.

2. Depends.

If you have a reeeeally good equipment, like Mag+, then soulfuse and keep it at your own level.

If you are still using anything exquisite and below with less than all the possible PABs, like a superior armor with only strength, then try and replace it with an average piece with level unassigned so you keep your gear at your current level.

Only do it if your equipment is like 50 levels below you though, otherwise it's kind of a waste, and you are better off simply waiting for anew one to drop.

It's defninitely not worth wasting your limited soul fragments on gear that you are likely to replace in a few days.

I personally will only be soulfusing Legendary gear when I get my hands on it.
