If you want to play cold mage, find a Leg Arctic Redwood of Destruction, or a Leg Arctic Willow of Destruction.
Mage will speed up DWD, but only after investing quite a bit of credits.

By the way, do you play DWD on hard? I used to say "always be hard when facing schoolgirls" - but in the current version of the HV, I think the effect on speed isn't that big anymore. But if you can do DWD on hard in <1hr, I'd say that's much better use of time than grinding 2 hrs.

I even play DWD on PFUDOR (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) . It turns out that I should decrease the challenge level when facing schoolgirls. It's really hard to kill schoolgirls on PFUDOR, even harder than the last round.

For DW i would say Overpower 5 Butcher 4 if this is weapon is for the main-hand and Overpower 5 Fatality 4 when this is weapon is for the off-hand.

suffix = your element proficiency or EDB bonus there's nothing complicated about that.

How high is "serious"?
regardless your answer, staff is the cheapest gear to forge for mage, so it's the one you could maximize with relatively low cost.

my current block is around 63%, parry is 53%, and evade 65%. with the waki i would go to 0% block and 88% parry and 66% evade.

do you think i would be sacrificing too much def for pffest?

yeah, I tried a 100 round IW and I was def taking damage more frequently, the damage doesn't seem worth the amount of extra healing I need to do. this was with a non EDB waki so maybe the bonus damage will help if i kill them quicker but i'll need to wait until I get a nimble waki with my element. If this way is possible i might need to drop the battlecaster waki for a second nimble waki. that might make my parry high for it to be worth dropping a shield though the mana cost would suck.

by serious i mean fully forge the MDB at least,i can barely imagine the cost of forging a phase set,even the CP alone is quite a number,seems that i might have to put off the whole plan

Well it is not a bad staff, peerl is still peerl, it is just that allready a decent staff of Destruction would outperform it. And as a starter staff, you could get worse.

I have read some conversations in chat that Proficiency is much harder to gain at higher levels. To the point where people skip New Dawns and use Energy Drinks to be able to gain at least 1.0 per level. I am wondering when I should worry about Proficiency gains. Currently at my level it's fairly easy to gain >1 per LVup. Maybe I should prioritize to get x1,2 while I still can? Mine at LV330:

This leads me to another question. Where should I invest my money on? Should I prioritize to increase EXP or Proficiency gains? Or maybe Hath Perks?

Currently my Adept Learner is at 120 and Assimilator at 1
From Perks I have Postage Paid and Innate Arcana II (Spark of life and Spirit Shield)
With New Dawn, Random Encounters and Arena clears with 24 stamina I can gain up to 900M exp and around 100kC per day.

I could max out Adept Learner and EXP Hath Perks in about 140 days to increase my EXP gains to 2B but shouldn't I focus on Assimilator first? Assimilator training is brutal. With my income it would take 650 days to max it out...

I'm fairly okay with EQ (I think)

I only lack good hands. I do plan to upgrade my weapon with cheaper bindings up to lv30-35. I got really lucky with tier upgrades. Power armor is too costly for me to upgrade

Perhaps the best investment would be gold star, for many reasons. So if you want to spend money, spend BTC on donation. Otherwise, just continue as you are doing now and train only what you can afford easily.
