Hi guys, I started playing the other day and I had a few questions. 1st... I beat a different colour monster once around level 30 and it dropped a holy hand grenade. I don't know where it went though, what's it for?

What does clicking Spirit do? It seems to drain the circles and the spiritbar but I can't rell what it is doing for me.

How do I get more mana? I have 40 in allstats but I run out of mana really quickly and I can only get through 20 levels of the grind fest before I die because I can't heal.

That was a boss monster (one of the mini-bosses present mostly in the final round of lower level arenas, and randomly in other content rarely). The item it dropped is a trophy, which can be exchanged at the shrine for equipment. The chance of good quality shrine equipment is extremely low and most players are better off selling these trophies to players in the WTB section (extremely high-end players can make use of them through the Follower of Snowflake perk, which generates high-quality equipment after exchanging a large quantity of trophies).

Spirit toggles on Spirit Stance, which increases physical damage and decreases mana costs while it's active. You can read more about it here on the wiki. It will drain a small amount of spirit and some overcharge every turn.

Maximum mana comes from wisdom and can be increased with a few abilities; restoring it in-combat can be achieved through using items (Mana Draught, Mana Potion, Mana Elixir, Last Elixir) or using Focus (which consumes some overcharge in exchange for mana, but leaves you especially vulnerable to attacks for that turn).

A low level player is not expected to be able to get very far in grindfest or item world. Hentaiverse is a very very long term game; the best thing you can do is as many random encounters as you can, and as many arenas as you care to do. The levels will come in time.

also - check the WTS section of this forum, there are a lot of players who give away free stuff in their shop. If the title says [Free], there's free stuff or free credits.

When does the easter event begin? by the way; I already celebrated a year with you in the Hentai Verse, damn it; I thought that by now I would be at least at level 400.

easter? Well, you can see in the calender when it is this year, and the event starts about 1 week before.
You still have time to reach 400 before easter!

I was not referring to that, I was referring to the fact that I already completed a year of constant advancement here in the HV, and did not reach level 400, I mean; Exactly 365 days have passed since I started playing this and did not reach level 400. It is also not recommended because every time you enter Grindfest cost allready 1 Stamina alone. Something one should keep in mind.

just figuring out I have wasted soooo many tokens on upgrading pointless monster stats instead of building out my menagerie.

is it an actual HV rule yet that everyone starting on Monster lab should spend all their crystals on more monsters before all else? with maybe some Scavenging, but not much? Like, 5%?

I think this is an important lesson...first fill all the monster slots, nothing will pay off sooner, yeah?

the general rule is, instead of just one fully upgraded monster, swarms of low level one is preferred.
In some cases higher PL would also net more reward simply because there are more active mid-high level player than the low level player (round played wise), but the detailed statistic on crystal RoI (i.e how high you need to be) is complicated and too volatile to be summarized.
